Move current page number up a bit (hidden by iPad OS toolbar)
This might be a specific use case issue, but when having split screen of two different notebooks open, the Toolbar at the bottom covers up the page numbers. I know I can move the GoodNotes tool bar to the bottom, which in turn moves the page number to the top of the view, but this is an uncomfortable solution.
So my suggestion is to move the page numbers up a bit when the tool bar shows. This way a person can easily reference the page number when making a master list for different parts of the document.

After selection of an object -> opportunity to immediate resize (no click) the selected object, like in Notability.

font collection
i use goodnotes to write all my class notes. even though it performs really well its very sad that its has only a handful of fonts of which most of them are creepy.
so i used custom fonts to get the job done. but after ipados 14 apple limited font access by system fonts only. as a result even after installing custom profiles i am not able to see the installed fonts. many other apps like procreate can still use installed fonts..the new goodnotes in ipados 14 fails to do so which frustrates me a lot. kindly update the app…2 votes -
Quick selecting option for lasso tool
Instead of "Using the Lasso Tool" guide button, you can change that area into toggle-able options for "selecting handwriting", or "selecting image", et cetera. With this way, I don't have to open the context menu from lasso tools, and also, that space will be more useful and UX friendly too.

GoodNotes 5: Add Descending/Ascending option to list sorting
I would like to toggle between ascending and descending sort order after selection name or date.
I would suggest being able to tap again on the same sort type (Name/Date) to switch between ascending and descending order as this is already a common option in iOS software.

New notebook from Clipboard pages
Instead of creating a notebook and then pasting the pages we copied earlier from another notebook, it will be easier if there is an option to insert pages from clipboard directly. (check sshot attached)

Highlight under pen
Please add an option to put the highlighter under the writing instead of over it, to make and keep it more colourful. Currently, the highlighter makes the writing black looking.

Remotely sit exams via goodnotes
Current state of the art in remote proctoring of exams is for students to be monitored via a webcam by a real person. As the exam is uploaded there is still room to cheat or to have someone else impersonate you. Handwritten exams have to be scanned at the end for upload. This service is not really available right now due to the lockdown and Universities are scrambling to find solutions that any way secure.

Stop scrolling movement upon finger contact with trackpad.
In other apps when you scroll at speed, and then contact the trackpad with your fingers, the scrolling stops immediately. However, in GoodNotes, scrolling does not stop even when fingers contact the trackpad.
Having a scrolling behavior that stops exactly when you want it to makes it much easier to quickly see a page as you scroll so that you know whether you’re on the right page yet, and also allows you to quickly scroll a single page down with a flick of the fingers, and then stop it immediately. Presenter tools
For the presentation mode, add invisibility for the following tools: the lasso dotted lines, the eraser area, notes and ink. For example, objects may be selected and moved without the audience seeing the dotted lines of the lasso tool. Or a fill in the blank page can be shown without the audience seeing the answers.

Taking Notes while highlighting a pdf
Suppose I highlight and annotate text in a pdf. I want a summary of all my highlights (not my handwritten annotations), how can I do that. Once I can do that, and maybe the optionality for adding my handwritten annotations can be added as well, then this 'page' becomes my 'cover sheet' for the pdf. At a later date, I only need to refer to this sheet and if I need more clarity I can go to the underlying pdf which in any case is attached to the 'cover sheet'.
