Change Text Case in Handwriting Conversion

shapes are treated as handwritings, making handwriting recognition not working well
It seems that GoodNotes 5 treats shapes drawn by using the shape tools just like regular handwritings made by the pen tools, but this becomes a problem when it comes to handwriting recognition/search.
When I draw shapes such as boxes or ovals over handwritings for highlighting certain words or phrases, handwritings are not recognized well.
The only workaround seems to be using the highlighter tools since GN5 doesn't consider highlighters as text to be recognized but highlighter tools don't offer precise thickness control unlike the pen tools.
Notability seems to treat both the highlighter and the shapes differently to handwriting…

Import images from Files sheet
Please allow to add not only PDF but also images from the Files-sheet by tapping +. When draging-and-dropping in splitview from the Files app adding images to documents as new page works fine, so why don‘t you allow it from inside the app?

Locking the horizontal panning on PDFs with large white margins
When I import a pdf with large white margins on the sides it would be great if we could set a specific zoom that would “crop out” the white margins and then lock the horizontal panning when scrolling a bit diagonally - that way the text is bigger on the screen and we don’t have to constantly adjust the text column to be centered. Thanks!

Tap with pencil outside the page to pick the select tool
I rotate pen, eraser and lasso tools very often and very quickly. I would like to be even quicker. For this, it would be useful to have an auto-deselect option for the lasso tool, to be triggered when I tap anywhere in the page, as I normally do to deselect the selected object. The auto-deselect should give me back the pen automatically. Also, it would be very intuitive and amazingly fast having the reverse behaviour by tapping the pen outside the page to select the lasso tool.

Adding an outline by selected text in a PDF
I work a lot with imported PDF and want to organize them with outlines. I usually select a headline on a page, copy the text, select Add Outline (with two clicks) and insert the copied text.
I'd really like to select a text and have the option to directly add an outline in the context/selection menu (directly besides marking or copying the text).
This would mean only 3-4 clicks instead of 8.5 votes -
PDF Overlay with Transparency
Please add a way to overlay two PDF sheets for comparison/mapping.
By default PDF backgrounds are clear - can we get a way to overlay the line information from one PDF sheet on to another? This would be extremely useful for architects, engineers, contractors, fabricators, etc.
For example, in Bluebeam I can take a snapshot anywhere in a PDF and paste it on to another sheet with no white background.

Pencil case; easily accessible pens of varying type, colour, thickness
I’d like to have a bar containing my pens where I can customised the colours, type, thickness so that I don’t always have to go back and forth to change the properties. This would indeed increase my productivity while writing a colourful note

Add option to expand pages to the side, in the middle or to the top, as where space is needed.
When importing pages, you often don't have the writing space you need. Adding an option to cut a page in 2 and expand the writing space that way, or expand a page with paper to the side would be great to solve this problem

Streamline Option for the Drawing Tools
Add a streamline option for the pen/pencil/marker tools similar to the streamline option in Procreate. That way, those who write in cursive won't have as much trouble with shakiness & therefore there wouldn't be any "jerky" lettering.

Taging
Hy guys
It‘s actually not a feature, but a little detail that was bothering me...
Every time I tag an important page and skip to the next page using my Apple-Keyboard, the tag continues for all the following pages. Only by swiping with my fingers the tag remains on the important page.
Could you do something about that?Thanks a lot ;)

Deleting Text boxes
Have a small “x” Icon for deleting text boxes just like you have for images!!! I usually type a lot in textbooks, and I find it very hard to delete them!

A mode for lasso tool where it selects only completely enclosed objects
The lasso tool should have a mode (switch?) where it only selects objects that are completely enclosed by the lasso area, not anything that intersects with the lasso area. This is very useful for selecting things in complex drawings.
