  2. Improve size of flash cards on mac

    The flash card studying window on a mac is not using the screen size. The window on an iMac is so small that the cards are only barely readable even if the application is opened as a full screen window.

  3. Add undo feature to snap curve to line

    I love the feature that if you draw a freehand line and keep your pen on the screen then it snaps to a straight line. But sometimes I draw/write something complicated and leave the pen down too long by mistake. I then have to erase and start again. It would be nice to be able to undo the snapping to a straight line and return to whatever I originally drew rather than return to before I started drawing.

  4. presentation mode onion skin

    Hey GoodNotes Team,

    I‘m a teacher from Germany and love & use GoodNotes5 for preparing und presenting my lessons.
    The presantation mode is great, but I dream about a function, that would allow me to see the whole script, that my students on the external screen don‘t see. Like a thin layer, so I see points I shouldn‘t forget or where I must draw or write something, without using an extra piece of paper.

  5. Make scanned document or photo of written text able to be recognized text.

    Make scanned documents or photos of handwriting able to be manipulated or changed to editable features on phone apps. Make photo or document scan able to be rotated and cropped like photo file. This should be easy stuff to setup.

  6. Ability to Hyperlink - website, other documents, etc.

    I’d love to have the ability to hyperlink something I’ve written down or a photo I’ve inserted so that when I click it in non-edit mode, it’ll take me to another notebook in Goodnotes or to a website of my choice. Adding this to the long hold feature with the lasso or photo tool would be great.

    This would be perfect for school as I keep a separate document for key words and people in certain classes, and if I had the ability to click on a certain text (handwritten or typed) it would lead the another notebook where a…

  8. Please block the home bar on iPad while writing like in Notability

    I am very close to changing to Notability because of repeated problems while writing and I tried everything please don’t say there is an answer I TRIED!

    Thanks for the report and sorry to hear about the issue you’re experiencing. We’d love to help you with it but would need some more information. What is happening when you’re touch the homebar? Are you using an Apple Pencil? Perhaps the palm rejection is not working correctly in GoodNotes. Usually, the homebar should be ignored while writing. It would be fantastic if you could send us a video where we can have a closer look at the problem by opening a support ticket with us here: https://support.goodnotes.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

  9. Become the handwritten note for apps like Trello.

    Trello etc are great for collaboration, tracking etc. In Trello I can add typed notes and see into linked Dropbox folders. Is it possible for GoodNotes to work with Trello and link named notes to Trello cards?

  10. Allow us to erase self-made markings from an entire document

    I'm using GN5 to read my Q&A textbook, and I want to be able to erase my markings so that I can reuse my book, but it's tedious having to go through each page individually and press clear page. I want to be able to press Clear Document

  11. pitch black "dark" paper please!

    The black paper on GoodNotes is "black" but it's not PITCH BLACK. I find that my notes pop out and look better with a pitch black paper, I'm so sad the GoodNotes "black" version is more of a dark gray.
    I love the variety of colors offered by GoodNotes but I keep going back to Notability because their paper is darker and I'm able to actually use the highlighters (and have them pop) .

  12. Resize / Scale template

    Any template, for any screen size, should be resizable. I.e. instead of "Ruled Narrow" or "Ruled Wide" There should be one "Ruled" with the option to change to whatever size / scale I wish.

    This is especially important for the sheet music template which are too small for writing. (At least on my ipad)

    introduce support for interactive buttons which are embedded into pdf. Hyperlinks already work great. interactive buttons would make it perfect for journaling

  14. Copy/Paste shortcuts to toolbar

    It takes way too much time to copy/paste items today. I would like to recommend a copy/paste buttons on toolbar and at the same moment to make the toolbar customisable.

  15. Shapes- they are not at all user-friendly

    Should be able to customize way more-
    • unlock aspect ratio on things like rectangles
    • choose if you want border
    • pre-set shapes instead of being required to draw it
    • drag straight, vertical, horizontal line options again, instead of having to draw
    •graphs

  16. change paget template of entire notebook, after writing's already there

    I often print my notes once im done with a unit and because i write on graph paper i have to change the pages back to blank individually which is really tedious. A feature in which you could change the template of the entire notebook would be really useful.

  17. Longer document titles in Mac and iPadOS version & Zotero Integration

    Hello, I'm using GoodNotes to organize the pdfs for my grad school classes and wanted to make two feature requests:

    1. Please make the character length for document titles longer on Mac and iPadOS. When dealing with multiple documents from the same author in a single folder, it quickly becomes confusing because there is very little room to display the document name. I can understand this limitation on iPhone, but it should not be an issue on a Mac.

    Reduce notebook file size, because when the notebooks get more and more after time it’s uses a lot of storage.

  19. Fixing scrolling mechanics and Apple Pencil latency

    When you scroll on Goodnotes, the paper seems to take too long to stop moving after swiping and you must wait until it stops before you can swipe again. Getting rid of some of this extra moving time would make the app feel a lot more fluid.

    There is also quite a bit more Apple Pencil latency when using it in Goodnotes vs a native app such as Apple notes. Not sure why this is but working on this aspect would boost the entire feel of the app and make it feel more integrated and polished.

  20. Option to scribble for erasing notes

    An option to scribble on written notes to remove it, instead of double tapping the apples pencil or manually selecting the erase option.
