A Real research, to search his different notes
It would be nice to be able to search for his notes. What has been highlighted or what has been drawn, or written by hand, because global research does not allow it. And / Or have a list of annotations that we made and in which we could do research

X-ray option to view only highlighted portions of documents
I believe that you all should do an X-ray feature like kindle does that allows you to view only the highlighted portions of your document. This will allow a more condensed view of the things that you deemed most important in the document. This would be so helpful with students as it would allow them a much quicker way to create summary sheets of lectures by distilling only the things that they highlighted ie. what they found most important.

Lock out other apps when in study mode, maybe also an integrated pomadoro timer (25mins studying, 5 minute break, repeat 4 times, then 20 min break)

I found a nice pen in the procreate which is much more comfortable during writing words in Chinese and English.

For example, tapping the pen icon will open the pen menu. Tapping that icon again does not close the menu, but it should.

Make exporting with iPadOS easier
When you click the export button to export photos, PDFs, or anything else, if GoodNotes could have an icon in the Apple options menu, that would make exporting documents to GoodNotes much easier! As of right now, I have to save photos to my device, then import them to GoodNotes from the photos or files app.

Write beautiful characters with pen pressure setting
I want you to add the pen pressure adjustment of Apple Pencil.
Currently, it is difficult to write beautiful characters because the pen pressure is as sensitive.Especially characters with many strokes such as kanji cannot be written beautifully.

When clicking undo, jump to the page where the change take place
If the undo operation take place in another page, I won’t be able to see it nor know what was done. Jumping to that page where undo take place will allow me to understand more about the nature of the undo.
Moreover, jumping, wait 500ms and then perform the undo will allow me to visually see it as well.
Redo will jump back to the page I were at.

Removable lines filter
When I write on a pdf I imported, I cannot add lines in the background to make sure I write straight when adding additional notes by hand.
It would be great to have a filter that simply puts lines all over the document so I can write straight and then be able to remove these lines and only keep my added written notes on that pdf doc.9 votes -

Add attachments to notebooks
Sometimes, I take notes that relate to documents. Currently, I can import those documents within the notebook but that often makes notebooks unnecessarily large and it's not easy to navigate through so many pages.
Instead, it would be nice to be able to attach files to notebooks, so that they are at hand when reviewing the notes.

Music Notation
Not sure if this could be done with pre-drawn shapes or with a font, but it'd be really cool to have music note shapes available within the app. The shape drawing function doesn't work too well for music notation, and it's pretty difficult to try to draw them freehand with an apple pencil.

Mac OS High Sierra
I like a lot the Mac app on the Catalina, but I have an older Mac that runs on High Sierra, and it can't install the app, just like me, I think more people could use the app if it's were made available for older Macs, since is something that you keep for 10 years easily.

Change aspect ratio of a drawn rectangle afterwards.
When I draw a rectangle with the shape tool, I am not able to adjust the width afterwards without changing the height and thickness of the line in the same proportion.

Button to quickly toggle templates on & off
I use templates (normally graph paper or ruled pages) when I am writing & drawing — but don't want them when I am reading. I would dearly love to have a button so that with a single gesture I can toggle my page background between the currently-chosen template and "blank".
I can imagine two ways to do this. Either have the button control a journal-wide setting (so I can go into "reading mode" and get rid of all templates temporarily), or have the setting be preserved (so that after I complete a page I can hide the template with a single…

Circle to select text / pages all the way up / erasing text with back and forth scratches
3 features I would to see in future updates are:
1. Simply select handwritten text by simple doing a drawing a circle around it with the pencil instead of having to go all the way to the circle icon.
2. Erase text by simple scratching it back and forth
3. In order to have our palm staying all the time on the screen the page should be movable all the way up. This would help when you arrive at the bottom of a page (without use of the magnifier) to keep your palm on the iPad and not having on…4 votes
