Introduce a Zen Mode
I would love to have a toggle to activate something like a "zen mode". If toggled, there should be nothing except for the paper and a floating toolbar with selected tools only. The user has complete control over which tools to use here. For example, I never use stickers, so this would not be in my toolbar. However, I regularly switch between a blue ballpoint, a black ballpoint, a green brush and a red brush pen. These alongside with the eraser and lasso tool would be in my "Zen Floating Toolbar".

GoodNotes for macOS is Awful
GoodNotes for Mac used to be great before they switched to Catalyst. These problems have persisted for years and keeps getting worse.
Problems:
- Can't print notes with images - None of the images actually print out, just blank space. This sucks when you make your notes in GoodNotes and want to print them out to prepare for lecture.Can't drag-and-drop images anymore. No pasting from a Word document, or cut/paste from Preview.
Importing an image comes in with weird sizing
Crop tool is missing when right clicking on images and it depends on the type of image format

Replacing Specific Color with another color
Changing the color of all a specific color. An example being able to change all the color red on a page/throughout the notebook into blue. Having to lasso colors to change it can be a slow process, so it would be nice if we could do it with a few clicks.

Lasso +copy/paste part of image with transparency
Being able to upload a transparent png or a layered pdf and be able to grab a section of that image with the lasso to copy and paste while maintaining transparency. Currently you can just select the whole image and crop or drag in each item in individually which is unnecessarily painful.

text box
GoodNotes on MacOS needs changes to the Text box.
It runs off the edge of the page. So if I am typing the words go right to the edge then the text will run to the next line. No margin at all. This means when I start to type in a text box and type more than one line, I then need to move the text box to the left so I can then resize it to move it back to the right. This is pretty inconvenient. Should be a way to leave a margin on the page.

searchable screenshots
The #1 reason I use goodnotes instead of paper for taking notes is the ability to paste screenshots from my Mac directly into my notes.

Slow export of large goodnotes as editable pdf
It takes lots of time to export large handwritten note files with images -- in editable pdf format -- goodnotes almost freezes for a minute. Need further updates to improve the processing of notes with images.

Can you please work with notion and make your apps work together so i can use goodnotes in notion on my pc and my ipad. there is no app that works with windows and ios that you can writting notes in and organize everything.

Tootlip function / Better comment function (images)
I would like a function to add Tooltips to elemts or text. So for example one can add a definiton or further Information (even an image) to a word.

Scale
I love digital notes with Goodnotes. But when you take notes on paper the sheet usually has lines (ruled) or a grid (squared) that are a fixed scale. I always have issues finding the right scale on a digital page as long as I cannot set a value for it. So I ended up taping in the side of the iPad screen a piece of lined sheet so that I zoom the digital sheet for the lines to match the paper lines. Use of AI to automatically create outlines in the documents that don’t have them.
Ability to create outlines of documents like books , using AI rather than manually creating every single outline for easy accessibility of the subtopics or chapters within a document.
Also the ability to copy and paste outlines from one document to another should be there.

Add post-it notes on the side column of documents
adding post-its at the side column off a document so that we can write extra notes but it does not have to be on the page itself.

[Sorting documents] Remember different sorting in documents and folders
At the moment the sorting option by date or by name is the same for folders and the complete documents. There should be a way where on the main documents page you can sort by date and sort by name in a subfolder.

Search in images and scanned pdfs
This app would be perfect if searching can work in images and scanned PDFs. It can be easily done in iOS system or the original File app (Live Text). So I believe it is totally possible.

ERASER SHOULD WORK ON TEXT AS WELL
Eraser should be able to erase text as well. When I want to erase a text I have to lasso and click delete or I have to edit the text. It would be nice to use the eraser to erase some parts of the text you want without having to delete or edit the whole thing

Automatically "Copy" when you select "Screen Shot"
I usually screenshot parts of a pdf (i.e. questions) and then move them onto a new page (to solve).
Right now I have to:
- Select the region
- Select "Take a Screenshot"
- Wait for a pop up window to show up
- Press the "Share Button"
- Wait for another pop up window to show up
- Press the "Copy" button
- Wait for both pop up windows to close
- Then hold the lasso tool and press "Paste"It would be great if I can just:

Better Support for typing (on iPads and Macs)
It would be amazing if text colour and size can be changed through keyboard shortcuts, and more advanced text features like Markdown can be brought in here. (Please learn from google docs and notion - thanks!)

Allow real-time sync with cloud storages like Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, etc so that files occupy less storage on the ipad, while allowing for editing and annotation of the file stored in the cloud. This would save a lot of space for those of us using lower end devices.

Backlink to a Goodnote page - Hook links
Would you please add the minimal API (AppleScript, JavaScript, command line interface, or other) required for App Name to work with Hook?
