a pomodoro timer ( be it stopwatch or custom timer with breaks ) within the app.
when the timer starts it blocks all the other apps and only lets you use goodnotes and allowed apps.6 votes -
Select which note cards to study
It would be amazing if you could select which notecards to study. Sometimes, you only need to study a few.

Allow external developers the ability to write plugins.
It would be very helpful for an API of some sort to be exposed, so developers could make various plugins.
A few ideas:
- Programmable notes (Useful for maths - insert difficult sigma sums, calculations etc)
- Ability to tap into handwriting recognition (recognise chemicals, equations, etc)
- Siri/ shortcut support
- Custom shape snapping
- ThemesI'm sure there are more things developers could do with this ability. Take VSCode for instance. Granted it was built from the beginning to be easily modified, but their plugin ecosystem is incredible.

Adding a fourth colour at the tool bar
Dear Ladies and Gentlemen!
I would be happy if you could add more colours to the tool bar in order to switch between them faster.
Is this feature already planned in your road map?Yours sincerely

Set more custom default fonts for the text box
It would be nice to be able to set more custom default fonts, like the handwriting mode already has. This can be efficient when there is often a need to separate the headline from the body text.

Open Multiple Notes at Once
When taking notes for class, I write in a new note for each lecture rather than continuing off of one notebook. When studying for exams, I'd like to open all my lecture notes at once to study, but I can only tediously open one at a time. Could you add a feature for you to select and open multiple notes at once? Thank you!

Shape editing tools
Hello guys, I've been using both notability and goodnotes for over almost 2 years now and latelly notabilitu has been pulling appart, but over notability, gn still has the versatility of the app, but theres a tool that i use everysingle day and that it is soooo much better on notability than on goodnotes, thats not even fair.. it’s the hold to snap / auto shape tool. I know we already have the snap to other shapes feature, but that is basically useless unless you’re using straight lines.. I would like for you to implement some kind of powerfull shape…

Change templates and colors collectively
Imagine someone is writing in black paper with white pencil but he wants to print his notes. It would help if he could choose all the pages he wants to print and change both template of paper as well as the color of the pencil. Especially for the color there could be a choice that says change color A (specifically) to color B so as to not lose all other secondary colors.

Line snaps to paper
If you draw and hold a line or something else, it should snap to the paper like in notability it’s just time saving if you are trying to make a diagram.

same document spaced repetition flashcard selection option
Sorry for the long title; I love the flashcard feature and use it every day in medical school and I am being able to study extremely effectively and learn the material while still having free time in my life.
But If I could select certain flashcards within a single document by marking them with a certain signal to allowing me to study the flashcards I made for the first lecture before I study the next classes flashcards which build off the first lectures material. And even allowing me to mark certain flashcards "VIP" cards that amalgamate from all the notebook's…

OCR for imported documents
If it was possible to import a document and then be scannable would be a godsend for those who need big chunks of text, are trying to look up words or are learning a language. Even those who need text to speech would be able to copy the scannable text and use it quickly.

FTP/SFTP file backup (auto backup) in GoodNotes files and pdf for work on a non mac computer
GoogleDrive, DropBox and OneDrive are available, but FTP/SFTP for share in own systems (for business or friends) isnˋt available.
I think this can be useful for other tools.6 votes -
Favourite document from within document
Currently the only way to favourite a document is from the file browser. It would be very handy to be able to favourite from within an already open document.
Also the star/favourite button on thumbnails is not present in search results.

Laser pointer as pen
The laser pointer has a very cool design to it. I would love if they could make the design of how it looks into a pen so you could write notes using that design

preview search results
When searching on iphone spotlight search, it would be good if a small preview image of the document would show. Notability has this feature so it shouldn’t be hard I think

convert notes into flashcards
writing flashcards takes a lot of time.
Here are some ideas for improvement:When writing a note you can link two entities (word, image, sentence..) for example by "virtually framing" them to tell the app to create a flashcard from these words (the framing will only be displayed when you tell the app to create a flashcard)
Add tags to the flashcards to better organize them, study only certain tags and see which tags need to be revised more.

enable keyboard shortcut M for element
Currently keyboard shortcut for Element is not enabled. even though it is stated as M upon hovering over the button.
also an option to not leave element tool after adding an element will be nice. it'll be useful when catching up on the older task during bullet journalling.
