Copy in GoodNotes 5 is very slowwwww.
When you're trying to copy anything on GoodNotes 5 by selecting on the lasso tool and select copy. It "always" take a few moments to load, even though the item size is very small. I don't understand why I need to wait for the program to load every time. It's very annoying!
Ps. GoodNotes 4 and Notability do not have this problem. When I'm trying to copy, it processes instantaneously.3 votes -
Notes next to scanned documents
How about an extendable (in centimeters/ adjustable) section to the left/right of scanned documents where you can take notes (in line with opening a new tab but a little bit more streamlined). This way you could have annotations within the document and more real estate for actually writing within the document.

be able to edit the font size and spacing between lines without having to click on the + or -
last week I had to edit many summaries that were in the wrong format and I got tendonitis from having to keep clicking to increase the spacing between the lines. it would help a lot if we could edit and write the size we want, in addition to having the + and -

A more flexible lock screen option in presentation mode.

Mirror Entire Screen (can only imagine using this if I was teaching how to use good notes).

Creating Space in already existing text - or scribbles on a page
I would join this wish, in combination with a feature from OneNote, which I appreciate very much: Create a gap on the page by inserting a space of any height. This creates space between existing text or sketches for additions.

An option to make the pen non-erasable

More robust and cleaner smart shapes
Hello guys, I've been using both notability and goodnotes for over almost 2 years now and i still cant crown one over another, but goodnotes is wayt closer to being the king over notability due to the versatility of the app, custom paper, tools, etc, but theres a tool that i use everysingle day, and that it is soooo much better on notability than on goodnotes, and thats the hold to snap / auto shape tool
I know we already have the snap to other shapes feature, but that is basically useless unlessyoure using lines..

More flexible page arrangement
I like the non-linear note taking that an infinite canvas allows. Especially when doing a pdf paper review over zoom, it is useful to be able to break out to the side of the pdf page and draw illustrations of various points for discussion. When not presenting it can still be useful when note-taking to be able to add notes along side relevant pages/equations in a PDF. Otherwise you end up adding notes in pdfs just as you would in the paper version - constrained to small margin areas or writing over the text, instead of being able to write…

Setting handwritten header as file name instead of 'Untitled'
Recognize handwritten header and set or suggest it as the filename, so i don't have a pile of 'Untitled' documents in my library. Just a little convenience feature.

Lock screen zoom size

Text size drop-down
It would be so useful to have font size/line spacing options available as a drop-down menu. I use standard line spacing for bodies of text, but often want 25pt spacing for lists. I can never drag it to this, so have to press the increment buttons 100 times!

Midpoints and/or axes for perfect shapes
I would like to have midpoints and/or axes for shapes. Especially a circle will benefit from this feature. It will make it easier to adjust shapes to each other.

It would be fantastic to have an 'export to Things' feature which would capture all to do items in a note.
Mindnode has a similar export feature exporting all mindmap nodes with a task directly to Things - with one click
