Quick Screenshot copying
At the moment for copying a screenshot, which is something most people do a lot when taking notes, we need to press the screen 4 different times:
Long press after marking with lasso tool => Take Screenshot on the menu => share menu => copy.
It takes a lot of time for something being done pretty a lot and more than the other sharing options so I believe that many people will find it usefull.35 votes -
Invert luminance in Dark Mode
Currently, Dark Mode changes the UI, but not the document area, which is most of the app. Consequently, Penbook is more comfortable than GoodNotes when I want to scrawl out an idea I woke up with at 3AM.
RGB color inversion usually looks terrible, but preserving hue and saturation while inverting luminance (brightness) in HSV space typically preserves contrast and color-coding while providing the sentiment of “dark mode”.
Could luminance inversion in the document display area be an option for Dark Mode?

Resizing Freeedom
I would like to see less restrictions with the resizing option of notes/pictures in the app. Firstly, all eight of the resizing nodes behave in the exact same way (with the selected item being resized with the same aspect ratio from the exact center). I think this needs to be swapped out for the ability to distort the image along the x- and y-axis with the appropriate nodes, while keeping the ability to scale it proportionally using the corner nodes. Lasso Tool Features: Selection Issue + added features: move/resize, align text, thickness:line & text + highlighter & text colour change +
Selection issue: The lasso tool selection is always a problem as it gets de-selected. I think the lasso tools options can pop out when we click inside the selection region and could be de-selected when clicked/tapped outside selection area.
The move/resize: Moving sometimes have to be done by resizing the content. In my opinion, the selected region can have 2 small icons on left and right hand one for move option and one for resize option.
It is not possible to change the colour of highlighter when already done. it changes the colour of text as well. It would be…

Insert PDF page into note paper "Not only as separate page"
If I create new note and I want to insert PDF page into that note I'm working on, this function is not available. The only way is to add the PDF page to your notebook as a separate page.
Sometimes, we need to create notes and support that notes with a PDF document.

Improve functionality of Flashcards
Hello, I’ve been a user of Goodnotes for some years by now. I love the new feature of flashcards added to Goodnotes. Even so, I have some suggestions for the improvement.
Currently, the option of smart learning doesn’t have any curve of progress or way to review the progress made with the cards. In Anki there is the option for limiting the amount of cards reviewed in each study session. Thumbnails / Favorites / Outlines / Highlights
It would be nice if there were a way to index all highlights and make the highlights available where one finds Thumbnails / Favorites / Outlines a way to go quickly review and find.
It would be amazing if one could highlight in different colors and group those in the highlight index. Example: Yellow for remembering phrases, blue for additional research/follow-up, etc.

Return the “Go To Last Page” action in the overflow (three dot) menu like in GoodNotes 4.
At base, Go to Last requires far less clicks compared to Go to Page. For example,
With Go to Last:
1) Click overflow menu
2) Click Go to LastWithout Go to Last:

Calendar Events
The Ability to link a page or text to the iOS calendar , for example writing a date in my pdf planner then hold on the text and get a page uid or url to copy and past in to calendar event, when you open the calendar event you have an url to press to take you to the page in question.

create the ability to 'flatten' text, images, etc
Having the ability to flatten would create a document that I could continue to write over but then do an "erase all" but not erase the flattened part.
I am a math teacher and sometime I write down a problem that I would like to keep to show to the next class or use next year. I would like the ability to keep the problem without exporting and re-importing it into GoodNotes as a pdf.

Enable handwriting to text conversion for entire notebooks without needing to select text from each page.
The handwriting conversion is excellent, but it could do with a couple changes. Having to lasso the text on each page is tedious. Please enable the ability to convert a single page or an entire notebook with a single click. Also give the option to maintain or ignore single end of line breaks. Maintain double line breaks to keep paragraphs.

Code blocks
Many engineering, computer and data science, maths, and other technical degrees do a great deal of programming. I love writing all my notes in Goodnotes, but all my code snippets are all over the place. Sometimes I do try incorporate code blocks in my notes, but the process of screenshotting, cropping, and pasting is a hassle. okay but. When will Goodnotes 5 be for android? there are people who can't afford to buy an Ipad, but want to have the application for their notes.

Automatically transcribe audio recordings and choose whether or not to copy parts of the transcribed text into our notes
I work with both audio and text. For example, when I have a lecture recording, I listen to it but I also prefer to write it down because it makes it easier for me to go back to the information. I'm not able to write down everything because it's a lot to manage but I still get tired of doing it manually. I wish I had a tool that would transcribe the audio for me and I can just copy & paste the parts that I want into my notes. I'm thinking of how Youtube automatically adds subtitles to videos…
