To build off the idea of a zoom percentage feature added to notebooks, here is how I imagine the feature operating.
When in a notebook, the zoom percentage feature could exist in the toolbar with the zoom percentage number listed next to an icon symbolizing the zoom percentage feature, something like [% 28] or [Z 28%]. I imagine you could be able to click on this in the toolbar to type in your preferred zoom percentage.
Additionally, when zooming in or out the zoom percentage could appear on the screen, in the center, fluctuating as you zoom in or out. I think the amount you can zoom in and out on goodnotes is just fine, so no need to change that. I would suggest that the maximum amount you are able to zoom in could be listed at 100% zoom, while the maximum amount you are able to zoom out could be listed at 0% zoom, given that the screen is 0% zoomed in. I have thought a lot about this feature, as I left a comment in October, 2025. This feature would be incredibly helpful to maintain consistency in my notes. Goodnotes, please consider this feature. Please it’s a must. I take notes with goodnotes, and it’s great when I can use my whole screen for it because it just fits the screen and it stays that size but I usually need to split the screen with whatever ppt or source we’re talking about, and then I’m stuck with a bunch of papers with different writing sizes. It would be a lifesaver. Thanks a lot for taking it into consideration.

I really love the new Whiteborads, especially because I can see the % of Zoom, and I can also change it accuratly.

I would love the some functionality in Notebooks, so every time I write with the same resolution.
For example: I find most convenient to write in my notebook at 86%, so my letters are all the same size.

I know that there is a zoom window, but I don't like to use that, because I takes half of the screen of my iPad and the scale is just too big for me.

I NEED them to implement this!! A zoom percentage added to notebooks would be so helpful to me! I am always able to randomly find the perfect zoom, but once I lose it, its gone forever. A zoom percentage would help me keep consistent notes and a good headspace lol.

A definite from me too. The new whiteboard has a zoom feature with some set levels. I think implementing a user-zoom level (maybe three, like the pen sizes) would allow consistency in handwriting. I know there's the Zoom already but it's too basic and has little customisation.

To finally use a digital notebook without worrying about space or the distributions lost by constantly zooming in and out. An option to lock the zoom is essential!

Yes, please. It's available on key competitor offerings. The ability to have a reference point or baseline when we zoom in/out impacts the note's look and quality.

Yes, a set of "favorite zooms" (customizable), as for pens or colors, would be useful, so you can change between writting and reading views in landscape or portrait position.

Tip: Currently I write in an horizontal A0 (nearly infinte canvas) inserting a A4 page before so I can reset the zoom by double tapping in the A4.

Adding a zoom percentage somewhere on the screen. It would help all the pencil writing comunity to write always on the zoom you want so no more BIG LETTERED phrases compared to others you accidentally wrote with a bigger zoom.

Please add this feature to Goodnotes. Other note taking apps have this.

Please give users the option to see what percentage the page is zoomed on. This will help with consistent handwriting and text size. Allow users to save or favorite their zoom settings. Have this option on the toolbar where it can be easily seen when writing.
