Password protect
It would be great if you had an option to password protect a selected notebook in case you have to create one that would contain sensitive information.
Introducing Password Protection for your documents
To lock a document, tap on the context menu for the document in the library view and set a password. Anytime you try to open, export, duplicate, or delete the document, Goodnotes will ask you for the set password. If you’re using a device that supports FaceID or TouchID, you can use these instead of your password to unlock a document. Please note that you can have only one password that will apply to all locked notebooks and that Password Protection is only available in Goodnotes 6. Learn more
Update to version 6.4.2 in App Store to use Password Protection.

In top 3 of requested features, present in virtually any big note taking competitor... It's disappointing and limiting my use of the app, think journaling or other somewhat sensitive data that you wouldn't want e.g. your family to be able to access. Devices being personal and having their own lock mechanism is insufficient as, realistically, you hand your iPad or iPhone to your spouse or kids to do something for you occasionally. A global app lock is your MVP with a setting that defaults to old behavior.

Password protect to open document, and to edit document. If the password can be released via the cloud that would be one level up from other apps!
GoodNotes’ cloud sync function allows me to upload a PDF of a test paper (or create one) which my kids can do on another ipad, then it syncs back to me for marking. Imagine how Teachers can use this in a classroom setting if there’s cloud level password 😁saves trees and paper. -

I think when exporting a document as pdf the option to have a password is paramount. I am a doctor and have to export the files to adobe to add a password before I can send files. I’m sure you could easily add a fix to this...

I prefer GoodNotes to Notability in terms of layout and usability, however I will unfortunately be using Notability until GoodNotes implements a password protection option. Seeing as this was shared in 2013 I won’t hold my breath for it anytime soon, and will in the mean time get used to using Notability

What the hell! I thought a fully-fledge app like Goodnotes should have had password protection implemented long time ago. Please add this feature quicc, other competing apps already have this feature.
