It would be awesome to have a layer feature. For example, sometimes I wish I could create my own table or planner page by using the line tool. It would be great if I could design the page, then hit a button to basically save everything I’ve done so far and make it part of the background so it can no longer be altered. Then I could use the other tools to take notes or draw right on top of that. Even better if you can just keep them on separate layers, so if you do find that you need to edit the background image, you could still do so

Oh ok. I’m sitting here trying to take notes and type and I thought I just couldn’t find the how-to. Please make GoodNotes more typing friendly. 5 years is a long time. But I hope it gets updated soon. Please and thank you

Update. Like 30 minutes later lol. The app supports bulletpoints, I just can’t find a button or section for it. You can do it directly through keyboard commands. It would still be nice to have the type/text portion of the app to be more stable and user friendly. Please and thank you.

I don’t know about windows or regular keyboards, but for anyone that has a mac keyboard, press option and 8, and it does a bullet point. =)

This is legit the feature that has kept me from switching to GoodNotes from Notability for years.

We need Bullets and tables in GoodNotes!

Needs ability to record, and preferably record while taking notes

Flash cards within the app would be a huge deal!

ich nutze GoodNotes täglich für Mitschriften von Vorlesungen an der Hochschule.
Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dieser App. Allerdings fehlt mir beim Erstellen eines Textes die Möglichkeit der Gliederung durch Punkte oder Zahlen wie bei der klassischen Word Funktion.
Außerdem wäre es super, wenn man beim Einfügen eines längeren Textes einen Seitenumbruch hinzufügt. in meinem Fall werden häufiger Texte hinzugefügt, die länger als die Seite sind und somit abgeschnitten werden bzw. ein Teil des Textes nicht mehr zu sehen ist. Die App Notability besitzt diese Funktionen, macht es durch die Ordnerstruktur aber nicht möglich mit ihr zu arbeiten. Daher wäre ich ihnen sehr dankbar, wenn diese Punkte noch nachgerüstet werden. Dann ist die App für mich komplett!

For studying mathematics, this app is perfect. It allows me to easily transition from type to mathematical notation. However, not being able to use bullets or any form of note taking structure is killing me. Please add!!!

Turning - into bullet points, numbers into a numbered system (1. 2. etc)

Its pretty ridiculous that this has been an ask since 2015, yet we still don't have it 5 years later. Such a simple ask, using this app on my Macbook is annoying as hell since I can't use bullet points. Love the iPad version, as its all handwritten for me. Please implement this soon.

The basic text formatting of the native Apple notes and OneNote would be great: bullets, checkboxes, headings, etc.

please add bullet points. and some basic shape constrains(circle, rectangle, triangle) instead of guess from straight drawing .
