Ability to turn off automatic bullet points and numbering
Whenever I type a number or hyphen at the start of a line, an automatic bullet/numbered list will appear and hijack my original structure. Can you provide an option to turn off automatic lists?

Page thumbnail dragging issue when "Contents" menu is open as a sidebar
When the "Contents" menu is opened as a sidebar, dragging the thumbnail of a page results in the app suggesting to open a copy of the current notebook in a new window. This issue is only present when the Contents menu is opened as a sidebar---the dragging behaviour is completely fine when the Contents menu is opened as a window. This has been quite a nuisance to me every time I am trying to reorder the pages in my notebook by dragging page thumbnails in the Contents menu when opened as a sidebar, since the app almost always tries to open a new window in these cases (see attached screen recording of me trying to reorder my pages). My suggestion is to make the behaviour of the Contents menu as a sidebar consistent with its behaviour as a window by stopping the app from suggesting to open a notebook in a new window when dragging page thumbnails. The option to "Open in New Window" is already present in the dropdown menu from a page's thumbnail anyway (see image), making this feature redundant.

Text Improvement + Tape
Make the text feature simple like it would be on a word document or google docs (bullet points, ability to highlight text) AND ensure that the tape feature follows or is "attached" to that section of the text.
Currently I have to complete my study guide, download as a PDF, then use the tape feature. If I gain more clarity and have to add/change my notes, I lose all my progress with the tape feature on goodnotes since PDF are not editable.

Create our book WITH TITLE on cover page
It would be nice to have the option to incorporate our title page onto the cover page if wanted by user
Also allows user to create book before creating book AND has QR code to share

Insert Map
Allow users to insert a map or location similar to Penbook. This would allow us to customize our documents and allow us a variety of customization so that we’re not limited to what we can do on this app. Adding these additional features would make Goodnotes the ultimate notetaking app!
I really love goodnotes but I’m considering getting Penbook just because of their additional features! I think Goodnotes has so much potential to becoming THE APP!

Zoom to compare text feature
There’s a way compress the text between two paragraphs (or) sections to compare the text side-by-side instead of scrolling from page to page. It would deter frustration and make this app so much more powerful.
This featured example came from LiquidText

Locking the ruler in place and choosing where the count starts from
When using the ruler zoomed in, there is a limit as to where the ruler can go. And when I zoom out, the position of the ruler changes and it's also hard to measure since the start is elsewhere.
So there should be a feature to lock the ruler in place and also change where the count of the ruler starts.

More Elements/Templates/Stickers
Free templates for various subjects such as engineering and calendars, or just inserting graphs.
Free elements and stickers and sticky note options(maybe change colors and format)
And washi tape would be AWESOME to customize!!!
I’ve also seen implemented GIFS and internet searches straight from the app!

Auto-date Option
Almost every other note-taking app has the auto-date option. This would be a huge help!

Lasso Rotation
It’d be nice to be able to rotate; not only move around. Notability allows rotation and zooming in and out. That would be very helpful!

Adaptively matching multi-page display through windowing
When using Mac OS or iPad OS in landscape mode, the adaptability of the pages is suboptimal. As shown in the figure, even though the window has enough space to accommodate two pages, it only displays one. This becomes particularly inconvenient when reading professional documents that include diagrams and technical terms, as these often span multiple pages, forcing users to continuously flip back and forth. The current non-adaptive windowing leads to a very poor reading experience.
I hope that future updates will include more flexible adaptability, enabling the feature to read two or multiple pages simultaneously.

To Do List App integration
Many of us use Goodnotes to take notes but are also using to do apps/task management apps (e.g. Todoist, SkedPal) to keep track of our work. We used to be able to take handwritten notes, convert to text, and then run a shortcut that would push it out to todoist; however, that seems to be broken. Any foothold you can provide that would allow for easy integration to a task management app would be amazing - I’d be able to quickly move my todos out of my notes and into my task list and I’d be so productive (…granted I’d still have to actually do the things…)

Calligraphy/Fountain pen/writing like in Apple Notes!
Goodnotes outdoes every other note taking app and is hands down my favorite BUT I keep going back to Apple Notes because I just love how the calligraphy pen/pressure just flows and writes amazing!
Please update the pens to offer better pressure and writing. Please add better options! Please make the fountain pen to be more like Apple Notes. I just don’t feel any of the options you guys offer allow for appealing daily writing for notes and journaling.
If Apple Notes offered everything you did I would delete the Goodnotes app just alone for the pen/writing options.

Separate Tools for Pen and Fingers
Having separate tools active for finger actions and pen actions would save on manual tool switching, thus saving time and unnecessary effort. In my personal case I’d like to able to have a separate tool for my Apple Pen (Pen tool for note taking), then instantly being able to highlight a line just by using my finger, without the effort of manually switching tools. Furthermore, using the finger to select and drag, or place a sticker or image. I know that you can switch between tools with double tapping the Apple Pen, but that is generally reserved for erasing, this would expand beyond simply having two tools in quick access.

Collaborative Editing: Recoding: Play recording
When taking collaborative notes in lectures only the user recording can “play recording” on their notes. It would be great if it also did it to the other user (but all in one recording). So one person records it synced the lecture notes from both users into the recording.
