Accept the user's rotation of scans
This is more of a bug report than a feature request, and it concerns the rotation of scanned documents from my iPad's camera.
When importing a scan into GN using GN's own "Scan Documents" feature, the user is permitted to change the rotation, crop, and color scheme (b&w, color, etc) of the scan. This happens after the picture is taken with the camera. I frequently have to rotate a page 90 degrees to correct the text direction, but no matter what rotation I chose, GN imports it to a notebook with the original orientation. Very often, this creates a mismatch…

Add more shapes to pens and document remember pen styles that are used for that document in past.

Pop out color tool bar
I hate having to move my hand all the way to the top of the screen to change colors and then go back to the bottom of the screen to continue taking notes. I would like it so that I could just pop out the color tool bar and move it to the bottom of the screen so I can easily color-code my notes. Having it to the side would be useful as well.
I attached an example of what it could look like.

Pen box function
The pen box function can store more pens and put them somewhere on the screen, so that users can set them up in advance and put them in the pen box, so that they don't have to always switch brushes, which is more convenient.

Toolbar should be available at all the sides
Right now the toolbar is placed at the top or at the bottom. But while working and taking notes, it requires to change the tool from highlighter to pen or vice-versa many a time. And on IPAD PRO 12.9 Inch the reach is not easy to change the tool. So if the toolbar is placed vertically on both the side then it can reduce the efforts of user. Thank you for hearing out! ARCHIVE notebooks and/or folders
Hello! As I use GoodNotes more and more to take notes and adnotate documents, I get a large volume of folders and notebooks that are a bit difficult to navigate through.
It would be great to be able to archive old items, so that they do not show up in the document browser and they are compressed or even stored in the cloud only, so that they do not take up additional space.

Different search highlight colors
Enable different search highlight colors. I tend to use orange highlighter (best for multiple layers for emphasis) and the search highlighter gets drowned out with it.

Publicly announce that you are never going to implement Saving custom text colors like with pen colors.
About once a year I waste half an hour trying to see if I can save preset text colors the same way I can save custom pen colors. Because the interface is identical I perhaps unfairly assume this will involve much the same code and would therefore be an easy fix. I therefore keep thinking a fix would be right around the corner. At this point, I would be better served by having you come out and say that you are never going to get around to it , so I can spend my time jury-rigging a work around. Don’t…

I screenshot (with the lasso tool) parts of my textbook (pdf in goodnotes), but I have to screenshot and paste individually.
I would like to screenshot (and possibly crop at the same time) and have them in a hold (like elements) and then paste them from the hold into my document. I would like it to be a temporary hold to, so an option to delete from this hold when pasted would be cool too.4 votes -
Export highlighted text excerpts
Hi, my feature request is to be able to export highlighted text excerpts. For example, when reading an article or chapter I will highlight important parts. I would love to be able to export the highlighted text bits for later reference. I would like to store them in my personal knowledge management system such as notion, roam or obsidian app. I can then tag and link them to build my second brain, so to speak... Keep page-zoom when re-entering Goodnotes (Switching between apps and windows)
I would like to have GoodNotes keep the page-zoom as I had when I changed from GoodNotes to another app on my Ipad Pro. Now the page will zoom out again if I switch from GoodNotes to another app and back. Or if I switch between 2 GoodNotes windows

Add voice notes or record in GoodNotes.
First , I chooses GoodNotes but when i when I know the two things about Noteshelf is that-
1) we can recor d and also import voice record from file and also we can manage on page where we need .
2) and also individual file lock
Really this attract me and I switched on Noteshelf..If GoodNotes also add this feature in his app then it will be great.
