Quick Access/Favourite Tool Bar
A small bar that can be positioned around the edge of the screen. I use the Goodnotes app to take notes during Uni lectures and I find myself using the brush pen for titles and key info, and ball pen for the notes. When you have the app on half screen so that the powerpoint takes up one side you lose the access to the quick "one tap" colour selection.
The ideal quick bar would be able to move to either sides of the document you are taking notes on. You would be able to had a set style and thickness of pens within this as well as highlighters. Therefore during a note-taking session all it requires is one click to use a certain pen for the title and one click back.

Rest area for your hand (moving the zoomed-in document freely)
Have the ability to zoom and have a part of the screen be the outside of the document, so that you could rest your hand, whilst editing the edge of the document.
E. g. the second screenshot is from a table I was filling out and when I got to the rightmost column I couldn't write in it as easily as in the other ones. I am right-handed, so in those screenshots the area is on the right side of the page, but this should work for left-handed people as well, if the area was on the left-hand side of the document.

Static piece of paper for productivity.
Hi,
I would love a feature that would allow me to create a static "lock" on my screen
-only allowing for the pen to write no zoom or movement of that sort
Simply resembling a static sheet of paper1 vote -
flash cards on laptop
I´m using the option flash cards on the ipad frequently, but it would be really great to improve this tool for usage on laptops. The cards, and shown answers, are really small, so its often impossible to check if you´ve got everything right, especially when the cards are rather full and the textsize is small.

Allow users to turn off the duplicate text function
Add a button allowing the users to turn off the shortcut of drag to duplicate the text box function. As most of the time I want to drag the text box elsewhere, but it keeps duplicating. It can be resolved by tapping on the text box instead of holding it if you are typing with the keyboard on the screen. But if you are connected to a hardware keyboard, trackpad or mouse, it will long hold automatically instead of tapping when trying to move the text box.
It would be more convenient to keep my hands on the keyboard to drag the text box instead of reaching up on the screen.

Separate undo/redo for each page
Here is my issue: I am writing a document with a lots of design and art work. Suppose I have filled page “A” with lot of content non sequentially. Now I’ve moved on to next page “B”. Accidentally I draw somethings on page B. Then as per my habit I tap undo couple of times, now if unknowingly do more undos than the changes on page B. It undos changes on page A as well. If I don’t notice it then I’ve lost last content put on page A. If I notice it, then I have to press redo till I make sure nothing has been lost. Which wastes some time, plus induces some paranoia.
Can you restrict undo operations to the current page only? I mean what’s the point in continue doing undo operations on pages which are not visible(or not in front of us) at that moment?
Same case can be said about redo operations.
In other words can you maintain user actions separate for each page? So that undos on current visible page doesn’t affect non visible pages.I know there is a “clear page” feature. But it can’t be used when I have some content already on page B.
Further discussion with support team:
If we stored undo information for the current page only, it wouldn't be possible to undo something on a previous page even after we scroll to it.
You could maintain an undo queue/stacks for each page that the user has done modifications on, in that edit session. You don't have to maintain undo queues for all the pages in the document. You need to maintain the queues only for the pages that the user has modified so far, from opening of the Goodnotes app and opening the document.
When the user scrolls to the previous page, bring up that page's undo list, which will be separate from the next page. However, I can imagine how the current behavior can still work in the user's advantage in case they need to be able to undo something on a previous page.
Why would a user want to undo things on the previous page while staying on the current page? Naturally they would navigate to the previous page and then do undo/redo operations that they certainly will prefer to be happening in front of their eyes.
If you are concerned about previous page's undo operations, you can maintain in separate list for that page as explained in previous point.Same discussion also applies to "redo" operations.

Customised Pen’s Library
Having the ability to save customised pen settings. This would be really useful for certain notebooks, as each notebook has different pens: eg. thickness

Page edge guide
It would be awesome to have “snap to” guide lines on the page to paste text lined up evenly on the edge (or wherever) on the page. I like to copy inspirational quotes and Bible verses and add them to my “Notebook”…it would be great if they could be lined up easily without adding to existing text boxes so they can easily be rearranged at any time.

Crop mode (for PDF textbooks, etc) just like in the app "Documents, by Readdle"
In the app called Documents, by Readdle, there is a feature for PDF files called Crop Mode, which removes excess white space around a page (if applicable), allowing text to be brought more to the front, closer to filling up the entire screen. It is very functional, and makes reading easier since the texts is expanded. As you can see based on photos, the text becomes significantly bigger. This feature alone makes me have to keep my textbooks in the Documents app, since GoodNotes doesn't have this feature. Would love to see it come to GoodNotes! Thank you for your amazing work thus far!

Allow adding a clickable comment to a paragraph/ word like in Notion
When I highlight text, I want the option to add a comment/explanation that then hides in the comment icon next to the highlighted text. When I click on the icon, that explanation then appears underneath the text. And when I click on the background, it goes back to the way it is.

Color choices that are document/book specific
I have different color schemes for different books and it annoys me that I constantly have to change which three pencil and highlighter color shows on the toolbar. This would be an awesome upgrade!

PLEASE!! We need new writing tool!!
Hello, I am a Korean student who is using the GoodNotes very well. If I write Korean with a pen, my handwriting gets ugly. But If you take notes with laser points, your handwriting gets way much prettier!! If you add a pen that has the exact same writing experience as the laser point, I think I'll be able to use the GoodNotes very happily. Thank you!

PDF and JPEG2000
I do hope in the future updates, goodnotes would allow us to view images on pdfs with jpeg2000, if adobe acrobat could do it, why can't goodnotes do it as well?

Can we have a feature to temporarily "fix/lock" the size of the zoom window?
I really like the zoom window. But I don't know if it's just me, for a lot of times my palm touching the screen is detected as an action to resize the zoom window, and I need to resize it again so that my writing would be the same size. So, I was wondering if the development team could kindly make a feature to temporarily fix the size of the zoom window so that users can toggle to fix the size when they would like to?
