Improve size of flash cards on mac
The flash card studying window on a mac is not using the screen size. The window on an iMac is so small that the cards are only barely readable even if the application is opened as a full screen window.

Create stickers at the middle of screen rather than the middle of the page
When I zoom in and add sticker, it will go out of the screen and create in the middle of the page, so every time I have to zoom out and adjust the scale and position of it. It’s quite annoying.

Template with dynamically numbered pages
A template with an automatic numbering system. The template would have a positionable "page number" feature, with the option to have the total page count as well. I wouldn't have to manually add "1 of 6", "2 of 6" to my pages, then change them all if I add a 7th page.

Set Highlighter Behind Text Instead of In Front
Instead of highlighter overlining text, program it to switch behind the text. Included is a photo with the above text featuring an overlined highlight, and the lower text featuring "behind" highlight. (In order to achieve "behind", need to first mark with highlighter then write over with pen). The current "overline" setting is frustrating because it compromises the color of the pen instead of accenting it.

For Teachers: Hide document contents from students until "activated"
When teaching I feel I have only two options: 1) Show the completed note set to students all at once or 2) Transfer the notes from another document into a blank goodnotes document. Option 1 can be overwhelming to students and option 2 can lead to mistakes when transferring the messages.
A feature that could solve these issues would be the option to open a document in "teaching mode". "Teaching mode" would show the students a blank document, however for the teacher on the iPad (or other device) they would see the document they had prepared with all the writing lightly greyed out. This way the teacher could write over their pre-prepared notes in a way thats more streamlined than transferring them from another document, plus the students would get the natural experience of seeing the notes develop overtime.

Adjust the size of the eraser
There are three different sizes of erases to choose. It would be great to change the size, so that I can erase very small written things.

Make popover behavior for image tool and elements tool more consistent
Elements tool:
Tapping its icon in the toolbar will show a popover which is anchored to the icon in the tool bar.
Tapping anywhere on the page will show a popover that is anchored to the tapped spot on the page. No blue placeholder symbol indicating that an element will be placed there.Image tool:
Tapping its icon in the toolbar will show a blue placeholder symbol in the middle of the screen and a popover which is anchored to it.
Tapping anywhere on the page will show a blue placeholder at the tapped spot and a popover that is anchored to it.I’d suggest also showing a blue placeholder symbol when inserting an element.
Also, I think tapping a tool in the toolbar should have a consistent effect. So maybe it would be better to have the image tool popover anchored to its symbol in the toolbar too.Elements tool:

Make selecting and editing objects faster and easier
This applies mainly to the situation when I am using an Apple Pencil.
Let’s say I want to resize and reposition an object (image, shape or element).
Right now, when a tool like the pen or the marker is selected, I have to tap and hold the object with my finger to bring up the edit menu. Then I have to select "Edit" to select the object and make it editable.
Or I have to switch to the image, shape or element tool in the toolbar. Then I can tap the object with my pencil (or finger) to resize it or to drag it around. If I want to, for example, crop the image, then I need to tap it another time to bring up edit menu. That’s a lot of tapping and changing tools. I think this could be a bit faster and easier.
Just let me tap an object with my finger to select it regardless of the tool I am using at the moment. Also bring the edit menu up immediately when an object gets selected. That’s the way Apple’s Pages does it.
When using your fingers to draw instead of the pencil, you could just touch an object with two fingers to select it.

Editing text fields should work more like it does in Apple’s Pages or Microsoft’s Word in the Mac Version of GoodNotes
Editing text in text fields should work the way it does in Pages or Word because that’s what people are used to. It’s confusing that GoodNotes has a different way of handling this and it throws me off every time I’m working with text fields.
In Pages and Word, clicking a text field once selects it. Then you can click it again to get the cursor to appear so that you can start typing. To deselect the text field, you just click anywhere else in the page.
However, in GoodNotes, after clicking a text field once to select it, clicking it again deselects it. If I want to edit the text, I have to double click inside the text field.Editing text in text fields should work the way it does in Pages or Word because that’s what people are used to. list pop-up instead of horizontal
the function of cut, copy, delete etc when selecting text, images and such are so far given in a horizontal manner.
I would like to suggest to switch the display of the options to a list, instead of a long horizontal pop up.even after so much use of the app, it’s not intuitive to my eyes, and if by chance more users would feel the same, it might make the UX more smooth , thanks in advance ;)

Image post processing
The document scan post processing for taking pictures is really good but I commonly take pictures of my notes to insert them into goodnotes using image insert because document scan creates a new page unnecessarily. Would it be possible to implement the post processing to any image after having taken the photo? Or even making it possible to insert images that get post processing using camera insert?
Did an example of what it would look like by cropping the result from document scan below and comparing to what the camera gets.

view multiple pages in the same notebook in facing pages or tabs.
The 1st request is that I would like to be able to view multiple pages in the same notebook in facing pages or tabs.
Especially, in planner and schedule management notebooks, I always compare and refer to multiple pages while writing and grasping, so the bookmarking back and forth is not enough to cover my needs.3 votes -

More Accurate Autogenerated Line/Shape
Please try and make parabolic shapes, curved lines, and other shapes to more accurately represent the path of the pencil stroke. The ones now are good, but I would like a more accurate swept line - meaning closer to the path my pencil head took, not a predefined ellipsis.

Access image crop quicker, e.g. via button
One thing I would love to see is a possibility for inserted images to easily go to crop mode without going to the menu. Maybe a dedicated button could be added like the button for deleting the image and resizing it.

Gallery to share PDF templates created
Hi GoodNotes Team,
I think that on your website or blog (possibly even within the app) you should feature an area where users can share and download pdf templates they have designed to be used on the app. For example weekly planner templates, grocery list templates, to do lists, etc.
As a side note, a partnership with someone like Canva could be really beneficial for your business in something like this. I love using them to create PDF templates for your app!
Thank you for hearing my idea!
