Text mode immediate start where pencil last on page/pre-set start point for new page
you should be able to start typing in a box as soon as you click the text function and be able to start typing where u last put your pencil (so you can point and the textbox appears there) (or add a starting point). This way you don’t lose time switching between modes.

Outline freedom
I’ve seen lots of ideas about outlines and in conclusion I think a side view plus the ability to add outlines as one would see fit (wether it is notebooks within notebooks or just inside a document like in Word with headings and titles). This is really one of the biggest shortcomings of GoodNotes and makes the app always feel replaceble.

synch selected folders
It would be great to be able to only synch certain folders or notes to iCloud in order to reduce traffic. I have quite a lot of notes that I only need on my iPad, but would like to synch only some folders to my Macbook.

New Scrolling Feature: Page Flipping (Vertically & Horizontally)
I hope you can add an option to have a page flipping ‘animation’ whenever going from one page to another that is similar to what it would look like in real life. Instead of the usually swiping to the next page, we would need this animation feature to add more fun and simulation to our note making process. Additionally, this would dramatically make the app more real to life. Personally, this would make me more engaged (and happy hehe) when flipping through long textbook PDFs or my digital notebooks. Note Taking Mode
I would like the 'favorites' feature from Notability implemented along with the additional screen space that GoodNotes has when going into no-writing mode and taping the screen to make the bar go away.
Basically I want an ACTUALLY full-screen paper notetaking experience with a small, customizable, movable shortcuts bar that can fit up to 5-10 preselected pen/size/colors. Aka, a streamlined (Note Taking Mode).

Capability to choose an image format (PNG) when exporting
GoodNotes allows export files via image only like JPG file, but PNG is better quality format. It would be helpful if GoodNotes allowed to choose an exporting image format

Shorten your current paper length
I currently „struggle“ a lot with this.
What I mean is, it would be nice if you are able to cut of the end of your paper. For example, in school you have to work on a task and write something down but the next task is a document. Then there’s a lot of space between the handwritten task and the document.
It would be great if you could be able to shorten the page and not just change the layout, because I often don‘t know in the beginning if I have to use a whole page or just a…1 vote -

Become the handwritten note for apps like Trello.
Trello etc are great for collaboration, tracking etc. In Trello I can add typed notes and see into linked Dropbox folders. Is it possible for GoodNotes to work with Trello and link named notes to Trello cards?

When typing in Mac , more Color can’t be added n I need to manually key in the Color code to standardised my handwritten Color

preciser drawing in Forms and Shape
I would love to see a ruler where you can draw precisely.
And one should be able to see the radius of the circle while drawing.

Allow users to turn off randomization of flashcards
I recently switched all my notes and flashcards over to GoodNotes because I loved the flash card feature so much. Most flashcards apps randomize the cards which I personally don’t like because the order of the cards can be very important. Now that you have introduced randomization it has severely impacted my ability to use the flashcards (which I just made hundreds of). Please allow users to turn randomization on or off based on their own preferences. Thank you!

Highlighting bound to text - Highlighter snaps to the text
This idea is taken from other existing apps like Documents for iOS. When using the highlighter with text the colored line snaps to text automatically, in this way you have not to worry about going outside the line.

I would maintain the awesome straight line highlighting feature of GoodNote but I would add a new button for this new one or maybe as an option of the actual highlighter.

Language bar for goodnotes like Windows
It would be very useful to know real time current language usage and update when we change language like widows. I don't want to try to type just 1 letter to see what language is. Sometime a change language button on my keyboard is not working or there's no popup on a screen shows that a language is already changed or not, so I don't know that a language is still not changed yet. Please add it!!!

Adding more than three color options at a time
I like color coordinating my notes and I hate how we only have three color options at a time. It takes so much time to click the pen color and then find the color that we want to change it to. There is so much real estate left when I have my iPad Pro horizontally, so we should take advantage of that.

Rotate all pages
Now in a PDF you can only rotate one page at a time, please make it possible to rotate all pages at once.

Better Convert Interface
The current convert feature (handwriting to text) requires me to manually select the text from the pop-up. Can you please make it so that I can directly “copy as text” (similar to Apple notes)? This would be so much more convenient since I often send snippets of my notes to my friends via chat (in text format) and also I sometimes want my handwritten title as an outline, so I need to get the text.

Zoom window presets
It would be great to set different sizes for the zoom window like we can for the pens. This way I won't have to worry if I change the size by accident. I like my notes to be uniform and when I have to keep readjusting the zoom window size it's frustrating.

Flashcard: Make the pages in the notebook’s flipable.
Making flashcards takes time.
We could save a lot of time by just flipping the pages with notes.
By doing so we could use our notes as answers and we only need to come up with some questions for that specific slide.4 votes -
Dragging pictures or anything onto the next page
It is really upsetting that I cant drag and drop any image or text onto the next page. It takes so much time and effort to copy paste the text and then go to the next page and insert and then go back to the previous page to delete the text.
This would increase everybody‘s workflow a lot!26 votes
