Word and PDF Editing
Being able to move and edit documents within the app will greatly enhance the functionality and productivity.
The Lasso Tool should be able to edit imported documents like it is with notes. This is also applicable to the text box function.
Currently, editing imported documents in GoodNotes feels like using Snapchat. We should be able to move and edit the text as we like.
I strongly believe this will make GoodNotes the best notes app out there and choosing it instead of Notability would become a no brainier.

seamless horizontal scrolling
it would be extremely nice to have a setting so horizontal scrolling could be like the vertical one, where if i just need one swipe to pass multiple pages. i like the horizontal layout but find it very slow and frustrating to move between pages.

Voice , clips , gifs , ...
Hi ,
I have switched to your app after about 10 years of using other apps. This app is great, has lots of fantastic features that make it superior to others and is very convenient to use. But it also lacks some features too.Voice recording and importing is crucial, especially now that Samsung has added it to its app.
Also other multimedia formats are cool to be added , like short video clips, gifs and etc...

Schedule with link to the notes
Add schedule that can link my document to certain days like for example in Sunday I want to review my pharmacology notes and to complete another note, when I tap on the name of the note that is written on the schedule it takes me directly to the note page.

Margins for handwriting
Please add the ability to set margins on both sides of handwriting paper. The auto advance works great, but since you cannot set the margin on the right side of the paper, the handwriting often goes right to the edge of the paper before the auto-return takes you to the next line.

Different types of fills (patterns & textures) for shapes, such as hatching, cross-hatching, dots of different sizes, dashed & dotted lines
It would be great if we could fill the shapes that we create with more unique fills. Not only will this make the process more creative but it would also make our visuals more understandable.

Copy/Paste shortcuts to toolbar
It takes way too much time to copy/paste items today. I would like to recommend a copy/paste buttons on toolbar and at the same moment to make the toolbar customisable.

Add Adjustable Line Spacing for Text to Match Up with Lined Templates
Create a default font, text size, and line spacing that will line up with a narrow and wide rules template. Or, add adjustable line spacing, space before paragraph, and space after paragraph options. It is obnoxious when text on a Cornell template or any other for that matter doesn’t match up with the lines.

Preserve outline in PDF during automatic backup
If you export a single document as PDF and set the setting to "Editable", the outline is preserved. The PDF's which are created by the automatic backup (Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive) do not contain the outline, because they are saved as "Flattened". Please add an option to automatically save the documents as "Editable-PDF" in the cloud.
Alternatively, an option for a one-time backup of the whole library in GoodNotes to "Editable-PDF" would be a great option. At the moment the option "Backup Data" can only be used to create a backup in the Good-Notes file system.43 votes -
setting featured instruments
it will be ok to import a picture ( for example a nautical compass), filtering white so it can be transparent ( already possible now ) and make an area impenetrable so that we can draw straight lines during lessons.

go to folder from notes or folder
If you open a note or a folder from your favorites when you close the note or folder it goes back to your favorites. Can you make it so it goes to the folder that the note or folder was in?

More laser pointer options
Enable more colors and styles for the laser pointer. Also provide a feature that gives the option to keep laser writing on the document longer until dismissed by presenter via erasure or some special triple tap, or even a release button at the top.

Add independent small pages to one page

Allow fountain pen in the shape tool again
Just in the last update the ability to use the fountain pen when drawing a shape or straight line has been taken out. (and only ball pen is allowed)
This is really jarring because it means that suddenly you're drawing a line which is substantially thicker than the text you were writing.
Also the shapes have lost that sweet, 'organic', 'hand drawn' quality that looked awesome before. The new shapes are sterile.
Please undo the last update, it looks terrible!

Automatic Size Adjustment for New Inserted Images to Match the Exact Size of the Previous Images Inserted.
I use GoodNotes a lot to insert pictures of my lectures and make digital notes with pictures and I also use pictures to make digital presentation boards. Every time I insert a new picture, I have to manually adjust the size to match the previous picture that I inserted and it takes a lot of time wasted on unnecessary tasks. I was hoping if your software engineers team could code a feature that would show grids once you are at the exam the same size if the pictures are being placed next to each other on the same page.

Reopen last Notebooks on Goodnotes Mac
I use to have 3 or 4 notebook opened (as tabs), on the iPad when we open Goodnotes we are on the last state (with notebooks already opened), on the Mac each time I open Goodnotes I start with a blank stage, on folder page and nothing opened.

Add Pages Number on the Notebook to see it when printed

redesign the „more option“ window
please redesign the „more option“ - window, that the diffrent options aren‘t listed in line and you have to click the leftor right button to see the other options. Please list the diffrent options in vertical way (like in the picture)

Export Page with flattened PDF & converted text in Body of an email.
The ability to have a function under Export page that not only exports the PDF but also the converted text in the body of an email would be great.
The Remarkable 2 implements an element of this in one step and also Notes Plus implements this quite well.
I take copious notes in all my meetings but then send to my PA to action highlighted actions straight after each meeting.
It’s cumbersome in Good Notes currently, you have all the functionality ... just needs pulling together in one step.
