Has an alternative or fix been found to this problem? I can no longer work with an app that does not let me access my notes when I need them

Desync files
because all files are sync to the cloud (icloud/onedrove...) we should be able to desync some of them so they take less space but are still visible on the app. And re-download them when we need to

Tab Sets
This is a feature request for some way of grouping and then loading documents as a set of tabs.
I have a bunch of PDFs, which I use for a number of different projects. If I'm working on a piece of software, it's valuable to have various manuals open (with or without notes). If I'm prepping for a week's worth of teaching, it's nice to have all of that week's materials laid out in tabs: slides, lecture notes, the readings for the week, etc. In most cases, I end up also loading up a GoodNotes notebook for sketches, notes, etc.
The use case I'd like to have is the ability to save tab sets (or tab collections, or tab groups, or whatever name doesn't collide with what's already got in the UI). At simplest, I'd want to do three things:
- save a set of tabs with a label
- load a set of tabs with a label
- inspect saved tab sets
For saving a set of tabs with a label I'd like to be able to save the current tab set (preserving tab ordering for the tabs, and doc position for the documents so I can pick up where I left off) with a label. I expect I wouldn't need to store sets of more than, say, ten tabs (anything more and I believe I'd no longer be able to deal with the complexity). I expect I could easily handle editing tab sets by manipulating tabs in the UI and re-saving to a label.
For loading sets of tabs with a label, I'd like a list of labels. Selecting a label would load in the label's tabs. As this would be a focusing tool, I'd want the option to have the loading action clear all the other tabs (and maybe put them in a preset label so I could get them back if I hadn't meant to do that).
For inspect saved tab sets, I'd like to be able to see what document tabs are included with each label, and what state they're in (maybe just a thumbnail?). This could be read-only (editing might be nice, but I mostly want to be able to remind myself of what's going on in a tab set).
This would be useful to me as I move from project to project: move to a different project, and all the documents I need are available, and easy to pick up again. I'd guess that this would also make GoodNotes an enormously useful tool for students, moving from class to class, or project managers, moving from meeting to meeting.

Palettes of colour to choose from (like in Procreate)
At first I wanted the Preset colours to be linked to a document.
Because I don't use the same colour for my pro notes depending on the client / subject. Then I realised that it wasn't much helpful neither since you change subject / colour style at least twice a day and you have to reset them every time you create a new notebook.
The easier solution would be to have different palettes (see attached doc) with different Names :
- a palette for my meetings with clients,
- another for my night courses
- another for my diary...and then I choose a palette when creating a new notebook and can change whenever I want !

to support for making backups the application DS File
I'm really supporting Good Notes, but for saving my notes for school, I would like to prefer DS File as my backup application, so that I can use my Synology NAS to do a backup.
Thank you for reading my Idea.

Synchronize notes live between iOS and macOS
I'd love to be able to work on a note both with a stylus and my desktop/keyboard.
Also this would be super useful to be able to stream the note live, e.g. when screen sharing in a live stream or conference call. I could edit on iPad and simply share my macOS screen.
Currently I work around this by mirroring my iPad screen to macOS, but it's a hassle.

A marker is indicated by a list.
If a marker is written like PDF Expert, the part is indicated by a list, and I want the function you can access.

Change pen size after writing.
There are so many times I will write out a bunch of notes and then look at it think it wold look much better if it was a slightly smaller pen size. It would be great to be able to change the size of the pen after you have written using the lasso tool so you are not stuck with what you have written or have to rewrite everything so it's smaller because you changed your mind when it was too late.

Invisible dotted line lasso/selection tool
Make dotted lines of the lasso/selection tool invisible to a remote monitor or recording. This would give presenters the ability to live animate notes with motion, for example, in a physics lecture, to drag an object across the screen, illustrating constant velocity or acceleration, without the students seeing the dotted selection lasso.

Switching tools with fingers and pencil
Is there any possibility to hold two or three fingers on the screen, and you scratch with the pencil towards different directions to switch to different tools and undo?
It'd be very convenient and cool I think. (Honestly, I'm wondering if I should ask Apple for this but not you)5 votes -
how can you NOT support the "share" function built into almost EVERY iOS app?
I need to be able to push an image or url to GoodNotes.
Instead of (like i just did to get the attachment):
- screen dump
- open GoodNotes
- Import screen dump
- write on image
- share image via PushBullet (because i am writing this MBP v10.13.6)
- save image sent via PushBullet
- attach it

Auto advance shortcut
Currently enabling or disabling auto advance requires 4 'clicks': 1. the 'three dots' menu button 2. document editing 3. enabling/disabling auto advance 4. closing the menu window.
As someone who frequently switches between marking up documents (where I don't use auto advance) and my own notebooks (where I do use auto advance), it can be annoying to have to go through this process tens of times per day.
It would be nice if there was a shortcut, or if one could optionally pin the auto advance option to the toolbar.
Cheers!

If it is too hard to add an in app audio recording functionality. PLEASE allow us to import into our documents audio files like to OneNote.
If it is too hard to add an in app audio recording functionality. PLEASE allow us to import into our documents audio files similar to how OneNote allows you. The ideal thing would be in app recording that is synced to your hand written or typed notes but since that is harder. We are willing to compromise on this first, but please give us something. It is really inconvenient to have to use other apps to split your notes. It is not efficient for us.

Checklist similar to the extinct WunderList
I loved WunderList and used it extensively to keep track of all the things I needed to do - until Microsoft ruined it. I have since reverted to using the Apple Reminders app. It is ok, but nothing like WunderList. It would be very nice for GoodNotes to have something similar to WunderList, whereby when you have a listed item then you complete it by checking a box, the item disappears. If you want to go back and look at what was completed or you completed something by accident, you can look at all the items on the checklist.
Also, I would love the ability to record audio while taking notes. That is a huge one that GoodNotes needs ASAP. I agree with other people who are saying the same thing!
Many thanks for a great app!
