An option to change the page size of an imported PDF
I read books in PDF. The editorial margins are usually decided for print publication. I would like the ability to increase the page size to have more space to take notes.
Thanks.

Return the “Go To Last Page” action in the overflow (three dot) menu like in GoodNotes 4.
At base, Go to Last requires far less clicks compared to Go to Page. For example,
With Go to Last:
1) Click overflow menu
2) Click Go to LastWithout Go to Last:
1) Click overflow menu
2) Click Go to Page to highlight page numbers (“remember” what the last page number is because the number changes to the current page when clicked)
3) Type first digit (from this point forward one is interfacing with the keyboard)
4) Type second digit...and so on
5) Type EnterSo you can see there are not only more clicks, but there is an added cognitive step and one has to interface with the keyboard in the Go to Page case.
My use cases always include using the Apple Pencil. I use Goodnotes for work (meetings both group and one-to-one), journaling, planning, list making for the day, and taking notes while playing board games.
In all of these cases I am working on the last page of a particular notebook usually based on today’s date. In doing so I frequently look back through pages to gather information or remind myself of information for the above purposes. Thus, when I have the information, I want to go back to the last page to write the information (or paste it in some cases). I do this constantly in all of my use cases.
I have used Goodnotes for years and have never used the Go to Page feature to go to a page in the middle of a notebook. I use bookmarks if I want to go back to a specific page rather than remember what page previous information is on (maybe once or twice I used Go to Page to guesstimate where information may be in a large notebook before I start swiping to look for it, at which time I would bookmark the page if I intend to go back again. Of course in this situation I would also try the search function, but my handwriting is less than clear). I use bookmarks because I don’t have to memorize page numbers in different notebooks and it is faster than Go to Page.
A very frequent scenario to which this is particularly important is one-to-one meetings in which dialogue happens very quickly. I often will be taking notes or making action plans while talking and need to refer to previous material by swiping through pages to a recent meeting. Then I want to get back to the notes of the meeting at hand by using Go to Last.
I think this gives you the gist of the reason Go to Last is necessary. I suspect some folks would use the Go to Page feature more often than me, but a wiser way to work is to use bookmarks, search, and Go to Last.
Thank you for considering this and thank you for such a great app!

Move another page directly when i click it(a word, a sentence, etc.)
As a univ student, i always use this app anywhere. Sometimes it's uncomfortable to use, which is, when the content is on a different page, it's often uncomfortable to find where it is(due to So many many files). So what I'm suggesting is that when you click on that sentence or word that's related to another page, you change it to the page that's related. For example, there is the word oxidation, and when you associate it with a sentence in another page, you always change it to a page that is associated with that word.

Deleting Pages in Scroll Mode
I request that the option of deleting pages should be available to the user while he is in SCROLL View Mode. Currently we need to go back to thumbnail view and then delete the pages .

Bi-directional scrolling data structure
Hello everybody,
I'm new to GoodNotes, great job. Many thanks for this app!
Following is a feature request:
What bothers me is the limitation that you can only create pages in one direction. I have attached a PDF to you. Let's assume I have a notebook with vertical orientation (blue path). But now I would like to be able to add pages on the horizontal axes (green path). The export/print view is secondary for me. The optimal solution would be to branch vertically from the secondary pages again, etc., so that you can build paths if needed.
I am aware that you do not currently display this complexity. But compared to OneNote, where you have an "endless" canvas, this would be a great feature!
Thank you for reading and keep up the good work.
Many greetings,
ReneHello everybody,

Group / link PDF pages
I‘m using multiple PDF documents in one notebook with each document having around 30 pages. So let’s say with 5 PDFs I‘d have 150 pages. Sometimes I‘d like to move PDF document B in front of document A. For now I have to rearrange (move) all 30 pages one by one. Many times I mess up the order of the pages, because it‘s just hard to see the content, yet alone the page number, in thumbnail view. Grouping all 30 pages from that PDF document would make them stay together - in the correct order - and I could move the PDF as a whole with one swipe.

Support for multiple platform
Hi,
Wahed here. Please take love from Bangladesh. Currently am using GoodNotes almost regularly for my office and personal works. It's been working really great with my iPad and apple pencil. Kudos for the excellent work and execution :)
However, I really find it annoying when I really need my note's references on a different platform. For example, I took my Credit Card balance calculation on iPad and at Bank, I have my Mac and my Android Phone. But, I have no references with me now. In another occasion, I previously sketched some flow of my office work and later while waiting at a coffee shop, waiting for some one, I wanted to take a look at those sketches for some brainstorming but I can't.
I believe, you guys already have planned something bigger for goodNotes. But I would request you these.
- Please release a MAC version for the goodNote
- if Possible please release an Android and Windows version as well.
Or Better you do this ->
Create an online version of goodNotes. Which we can use from any platform or additionally contain it within a webview and release platform independent version like Slack. Then it will be more useful.Another request, can you please also add a section to goodNotes named Todo. Which is a very basic todo thing. Then many like me, will not need to hop into different apps if having goodNotes just for todo References.
Please Take Love,

Better interface for Goodnotes 5 - MacOS version
On MacBooks, iMacs, Mac Pros (etc...) there's a lot more room than on an iPad.
I'm thinking about page thumbnails, about how many pages are shown on a single screen (and how much space rests unutilized on the left and on the right of the note).
Please make the Mac app "Mac friendlier"!1 vote -
import document from a url
I want to paste a url and have the rendered html as a document.
Now I have to do it the other way: from safari I can open in GoodNotes (doesn’t work well) or Markup. Then export to goodnotes. This works well but I have to click about 12 buttons along the way, which is frustrating.1 vote -
Sharing on macOS just like Evernote - FROM EVERYWHERE
Please allow sharing to goodnotes. I just bought the new app to support you, but on IOS I can share a webpage as pdf to goodnotes, it's not great but at least something.
On macOS the productivity is broken really.
it doesn't make sense for me to keep Evernote and GoodNotes togetherplease integrate to the OS properly
Also allowing to "clip" webpages in simplified view for later annotation is a MUST in 20196 votes -
Search for all annotated pages in a notebook
Sometimes we import a whole pdf into goodnotes and annotate some of the pages. it would be nice to be able to easily search and extract all the pages that have annotation to serve as a quick reviewer.

Add plain text export.
As a user, I would like to be able to export some or all pages of a notebook to plain text, so that I can process the resulting text further.
Why would you want to convert handwritten notes to plain text?:
- can be more easily manipulated by text editors
- more readable
- easier to share
Existing functionality:
You can already lasso a page, and convert it to plain text. This is great for when you want export only a part of a page. However, converting multiple pages or even an entire notebook to plain text using this feature, will fatigue the user.
Requested functionality:
Please add a plain text export button to the existing export menu, as seen in the attachment.
Use cases:
- Convert 50 handwritten pages to plain text.
Let's say you've got 50 pages of rough handwritten notes, which you want to convert to plain text for further processing. The following estimated processing times result:
Estimated completion time in with existing functionality: 50 minutes
Estimated completion time with new functionality: 10 seconds- Convert some pages of a notebook.
Just select the pages you want to export and press the export to plain text button.
- Convert a multi-lingual notebook to text.
Select a subset of notebook pages containing mainly handwritten notes in one language. Export them via the plain text export button using the appropriate language specified in the options, as seen in the attachment. Repeat this for every other language in the notebook.
It would be awesome if you could implement this feature!

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you would like to discuss the idea.

better textbox gadget!
Text needs to be improved, like in Noteshelf 2!!!!
- Bullet points and other text features like tables needed to be added
- Switching quickly between preset text fonts and sizes, this is really bad at the moment! Often settings just don‘t work.
- Text boxes are annoying, don't mix well with handwriting and do not fit into the lines of the default page!!!!27 votes -
A wide variety of shapes and number lines/planes that can be easily drawn
I’m a maths teacher and would like to see a wide variety of shapes that can be easily drawn, than having to draw it line by line. The inclusion of 2D and 3D number planes would also be great.

Add an option for using a specific tool when holding down with one finger and using Apple Pencil.
The App "Flow" has a feature that allows the user to assign a tool to be used if the Apple Pen is used while the user holds a finger down anywhere on the screen. This is very handy to quickly switch to "Lasso Tool", or anything else really. It would be great to have this in GoodNotes too.

Copy Toolbox
You can copy an object to the clipboard or a toolbox. The clipboard would function as normal but the toolbox would allow for multiple objects to be pasted into the document without needing to re-copy. Would be helpful for repeated objects like graphing coordinate systems. Example workflow: select objects as normal using lasso, select “copy to toolbox” instead of copy. Select the toolbox icon from the menu in which a drop down list of objects is visible. Select and hold the object and drag into notebook.

A floating eraser icon
Since I am using Apple Pencil, switching the pen to eraser need to click on the eraser icon on the tab.
I suggest that there is a floating eraser icon on the screen, so I can drag that icon to my left hand side( I am right hand user). When I need to erase something, I can just tap the floating eraser icon using my left hand. Then it will be more efficient to user who are using Apple Pencil.
This idea might be useful to other pen functions too.1 vote -
Worktable
Please consider the option of a bigger (indefinite?) surface under the working sheet - onto which elements/drawings/ scetches can be moved out for later use or rearrangement.
Right now when you move something out and its partly outside the paper and not connected - you won’t get it back in.3 votes
