Templates and handwriting selection
I’d like to be able to select a bunch of different pages and change the template so I don’t have to do it to each individual page.
When changing the template, the writing will stay the same size while the template size gets smaller making the contents go off the page where you can’t see what you’re selecting which seems like a defect. The contents of the page should maintain the same ratio of size in comparison to the new page.

Ordered iCloud Sync
I just got a new device and all notes were synched from iCloud with no complaints. However, I have noticed that the order my notebooks synced was not what I expected. I am not sure in what order you currently sync the data but I would love it to be based on the notebooks that were last edited. For example, if i get a new device and want to use it right away for taking notes in class, I want my most recent notebooks to sync first so I can use them

The exported zip files are corrupt under certain circumstances (Goodnotes 5)
When exporting files to my dropbox from goodnotes 5, the zip file produced by goodnotes contains file names with erroneous characters, if the file names contain special characters like æ, ø and å particular to the Danish alphabet.
Unfortunately this renders your app unusuable in conjunction with the LMS that my employer (an upper secondary school) requires that I use for student exercise collection and correction. The students' names are included in all filenames, and quite many of them have names including æ, ø or å.

Remove unneeded symbols (dashes, underscores, plus signs) from file names on import.
Goodnotes should have an option to automatically remove these unnecessary file name artifacts instead of manually having to remove them on import.

Collapsable typed text
Is it possible to "collapse" a text note ? I'm reading a PDF document, making handwritten notes. I want to type a long note, with some text copied from Wikipedia, but I don't want to have the text taking all the space. So, is it possible to make the note collapse like a "yellow sticky note", so I can see it is there but not taking all the space. If I click on the "sticky note" it would "uncollapse" so I can read it or edit it.

Change horizontal spread of handwritten text with lasso tool
Often I write something indented and then decide to later to move it somewhere else aligned with the left. However, now it is shorter than the other lines, and so it would be handy if when lasso handwritten text you could also change the horizontal spread. Like how changing margins on a word document will redistribute the text to fit the new margins.
I imagine this could be simple if the code can already detect and separate individual handwritten words. Otherwise, it would probably be too much work and maybe even require some ML.

Bring back the zoom window from GoodNotes 4
I love the new GoodNotes 5, but I miss the zoom window from GoodNotes 4. I liked how the zoom window had an undo button and the three color change boxes right there. When writing in the zoom window now, it’s a bit tedious to have to reach all the way to the top of the screen to undo or change color.

Ich habe 4 Applegeräte, iMac, 2 IPads und ein IPhone. Wenn ich Lernkarten auf meinem iMac erstelle, sehe ich sie auch auf den anderen Geräten. Das ist o. K.
Aber: Wenn ich auf einem der Geräte angefangen habe zu lernen, kann ich nicht auf einem anderen weitermachen.
Beispiel: Ich trainiere zu Hause auf dem Mac, möchte aber unterwegs auf dem iPhone weitermachen - aber das geht leider nicht.
Kompatibilität ist mein Vorschlag.

增加绘图预设、页码导航、文本输入格式设置、个性化编辑模版功能
使用GoodNotes记笔记半年多，其书写的流畅度是出类拔萃的，只是还有些许功能需要改进，在此提出我的建议，希望开发者可以认真考虑：
1、绘图功能有待完善。GoodNotes采用手写识别的绘图方式，这种方式绘图确实较为自由，但是失之精确。我在画一些物理示意图时经常涉及到圆、矩形、坐标系等图像，用手写识别的方式绘制相当费劲，建议增加一些相关图像的预设，可以直接拖入图像调整参数，方便精确绘制。（可以参考微软Office系列插入图像的操作逻辑）
2、目录导航功能有待完善。现在的Goodnotes目录没有页码输入的功能，想找几百页的东西只能老老实实往后划，较为费力，建议增加页码跳转的功能。
3、文本输入格式有待完善。文本输入时只能设置一些基本格式，另一些对排版具有较大影响的格式如字间距、行间距等并没有办法设置。建议增加文本框的设置内容已满足基本的排版需要。
4、模板预设有待完善。Goodnotes提供了相当丰富的背景模版，很大程度上满足了我的需要，但是我想要使用一些个性化的背景模版时需要自己进行绘制，这有一定的技术门槛。建议增加“智能模版”，即可以在现有模版的基础上进行个性化的设置，比如改变格线的数量、间距、分栏等等，方便用户自行设计合适的模板。8 votes -
PDF pages display setting
Sometimes when I read and take notes on lecture PowerPoint pdf on GoodNotes, I feel like the pages display are too big (I used an iPad Pro) esp when the content on the slides is not very compact. So I wonder if it’s possible to set how the pdf to be displayed, like for horizontal it can be set to 2x2, 3x2. Or for vertical, it can be set to 2x4, 2x6, or even 3x4 etc instead? To be able to view more pages at a glimpse like the outlines and also able to actually read the content would be…

Set default zoom window indent location for paper templates
Goodnotes allows you to set a return line height to match a template's line width, so that when you click the "return" button in the zoom window it moves down the page the right amount to begin writing on the next line.
However, Goodnotes does not allow one to set a default "indent" setting for that template. Templates with margins -- for instance Cornell -- would be much more useful if the user did not have to manually set the indent each time / on each page of a notebook.

Thumbnail
Maybe being able to click and see like a thumbnail of your „dashboard / homepage“ in order to switch between documents faster instead of returning and and pressing on the „back“ button couple of times to get out of your folders to the main page.

Pages navigation improvement (GUI)
It woud be very helpful to have the opportunity to use your fingers navigate in more ways. A) For instants, use (starting from full page) 'zoom-out' with 2 or 3 finger to get to overview like the 4-square-icon does, with-out opening a new overlay windows. B) use 2 or 3 fingers to swipe faster through pages in a way the pages will move from the stack of pages.

Controllable Higlighter/pen opacity
Would be great if the opacity of pen or highlighter could be controlled for the desired outcome. Currently using a black paper template and anything you highlight disappears because the opacity of the highlighter isn’t high enough!

highlighter function that allows you to embed notes within the text
There’s an extension on google chrome that allows you to add notes to highlighted text. Once the note is added, it’s hidden but you can access it again by clicking on the highlighted text or going to your dashboard.
