Shortcut configuration of input text
It is very troublesome for me to change my typeface，colour and text size。So I think it is necessary to set three buttons and I can set different text configuration and change it when I press these buttons。

bug or error
when I types texts with my bluetooth keyboard with turning on assitive touch function (in order to designate functions to my mouse) in IPAD PRO, keyboard appears in the screen while using a bluetooth keyboard. It happens only goodnote 5. any other apps does not. The issue is not with goodnote4. please fix this bug. thank you

Toolbar placement and funtionality
The tool bar is where most magic starts, so it should be something really simple, easy access and unintrusive but yours has too many items and takes valuable space from the screen, mainly if we are landscape. Could use the top bar wheres the document title to integrate the toolbar there and the title of the document would be somewhere else, again, notability does this perfectly
And also plz, let us move the tool bar to the bottom without moving the entire top bar with it2 votes -
Highlighters in dark paper
Also, making the highlighters brighter in dark paper? Like making it stay like when you are applying it? Or a bigger pen instead, to use that.

Better file organisation please
It is such a waste of screen space only showing what is inside one folder. I have many folders under folders and it is a nightmare navigating through them. It would be way easier if I could see the entire path at once. If for example I have a file under a/a/a/a/file1 and i want to go to b/a/file2 I take ages.
Please please change this please

Design custom template function
It would be great to have the option to design a template that has the same dimensions as the default ones. So that if you import a paper or cover design you can...
- put it against the original dimensions
- mark it up
- rotate the orientation
- add basic paper types (grids, lines, dots)... Better if you could choose the colour and spacing!
- change background colour
This would be absolutely amazing, making it easy and quick to create simple to complex templates specific to their needs and preferences.
There are images and paper templates I’ve imported but it’s frustrating to have it remain a certain size or orientation.
This would certainly open doors for people who want an easier and more comprehensive way to customise templates through the app.

Don’t select laso tool anymore
I’ve been using notesplus and it has the option of drawing a circle instead of going to the toolbar to select the laso/lazo. If there’s no intention of moving the content rounded, it automatically becomes the circle you have drawn.

Function picker
App is almost perfect! Would love the ability to choose which functions appear in the phone version due to the limited real estate... like pen, shape & camera all next to each other... thanks!

General recommendations
Dear GoodNotes Team,
I am writing to you trying to support the development of your app. I’m a pretty big fan of GoodNotes 5 as I have been of GoodNotes 4. I’m using it for over 2 years now but sadly there are still things I considered a downgrade between the applications and some things not only I but as I was reading through the feature requests many people wishes that seemed to be ignored. I also read many same opinions that have repeatedly been suggested so I think it is very difficult for you to answer them all or to determine which suggestions are very popular.
First I would like to address the downgraded features I don’t understand and would like to know why the have been removed. For example the tools in the Zoom window. I can’t imagine anyone who uses the zoom feature to like that. It’s a real pain to always have to go to the bottom or the top of your iPad to select the eraser or your pencil again. Also the option to skip two or more lines automatically was very great and takes me a lot of time to hit the Return button every time now. If it’s possible it would also be great to be able to use the laso tool in the zoom window.
Everything else I’m very happy about and I Love GN5. Thanks a lot for this great Note taking app there are so many well thought things I really appreciate like the independent file system where I can add PDFs as sheets in between and rotate any page individually and I love the folders and the handwriting recognition, the cropping tool for fotos and the fast way to edit and add fotos, and also the incredible fastness and smoothness of your great app.
Although there is a feature I would really really appreciate because it’s very annoying to do. I’m in an engineering class and have to draw a lot of arrows graphs and tables. So my most important request would be a feature they have already implemented in the OneNote app which makes this a lot easier. I don’t know what to call it so I added a picture in the appendix. With this feature GN5 would be the dream Note taking app.
Even better would be to be able to edit the arrows to add a scale for example but that’s just some ideas which are probably very difficult to implement. And maybe also add a doted line. Every engineer will love that :)Furthermore there are lots of ideas that I read that would be amazing but I don’t know how difficult they are to app.
For example...
- The option to freely sort my Notes and folders the way I want. I have notes that have to stay together with different names and that’s not possible at the moment
- The option to password protect different notes or folders
- To add templates for folders to to make it look nicer
- To add a ruler and a triangle ruler for lines and angles
- The option to add the date or/and the time if needed would be very handy
- The possibility to move pages between notes by drag and drop. When I have to notes opened I would like to just drag and drop the pages from one to the other
- Bullet point and numbering would also be very good for people who use the text option a lot
- To add sticky notes on a page just to remind you of something
- To be able to create links between pages
- To audio record as many people ask for it. I don’t personally want it. But it seems to be very popular. Also I wouldn’t want it if it means the app would lose it smoothness and speed. Like notability for example that is really laggy and annoying to use.I apologize for my bad English and for this long writing but I hope you can consider some of the things mentioned.

stop turning on spellchecker after I have turned it off
Actually, this appears to be a bug. In Mac OS, I specifically turn off spellchecker because I am tutoring kids remotely during school shutdowns and I am teaching them how to spell. Spellchecker needs to be off. I turned it off in the system AND locally in Goodnotes. Unfortunately, every time I open a new text box and the student starts typing again, spellchecker is on again. I have to turn it off for each new text box. Help!

Multiple pages all on ohne page

Erstmal ein Riesen großes Dankeschön- mir als Medizinstudentin erleichtert Ihre App auf meinem IpadPro 12.9 (Version 2020) wirklich das Leben !
Eine ganz große Bitte habe ich allerdings an Sie. Es wäre wirklich sehr sehr viel effizienter und übersichtlicher für mich als Nutzerin, wenn es möglich wäre PDF-Dateien so zu importieren, dass mehrere Seiten auf einer Seite zu sehen sind. Wenn ich alles nur als eine Seite in GoodNotes importiere ist das sehr schnell sehr unübersichtlich und außerdem weniger praktisch bezüglich der Zeichentools!
Leider muss ich derzeit jede Vorlesung erst auf meinem Computer mit dem Print-to-PDF-Tool vorbereiten, bevor ich die Datei auf meinem IPad in die App importieren kann.... das ist sehr zeitaufwändig und nicht optimal. Wenn es möglich wäre, mit ihrer App (gerne unendlich) weiter herauszukommen wäre das super. Oder sie etablieren die Möglichkeit mehrere Seiten auf eine Seite zu drucken schon in der App. Eine der beiden Änderungen würden mein Leben an der Universität wahnsinnig erleichtern und ich wäre Ihnen sehr dankbar dafür! Anbei habe ich ihnen ein Beispiel-Screenshot angefügt, auf welchem zu sehen ist, wie ich mir das wünschen würde.
Ein weiterer Wunsch wäre für mich wie gesagt gernerll auch, dass ich ohne Limit in meiner Datei herein und heraus zoomen kann.Vielen herzlichen Dank schonmal vorab für die Bearbeitung dieser Mail!

Bug: Switching Color In Text Typing Mode
It doesn't always let me switch color when typing. If I switch to a different color in text mode, it always switches back to the previous color I used. Please fix this!!!

Background Colors of PDF for Eye Health
Changing the color to green or yellow, will make pdf reading more friendly to eyes.
Many people using goodnotes to read pdfs will stare at the screen for a long time, but now the white color is a bit harsh and tire eyes.
Another app PDF Expert is just well-known for its protecting yellow color. Hope goodnotes will add the function.
