Thumbnails page on computer app showing your current slide
On computer app, when you press the thumbnails page, it doesn't open to your current slide and display that prominently. I have to scroll and look for what slide I was just studying from / annotating. If this could be fixed and displayed more clearly, it would be very helpful.

Allow customization of highlighter and pen colors
I would love the ability to customize the highlighter and pen default options to my favorite choices so they are quickly available with out having to go into the color picker every time. The ability to add additional pen/highlighter choices to the toolbar would be great too.

Annotation & Editing Tool: Loupe / Persisting Zoom Region
The feature I am suggesting is a new annotation tool similar to the loupe feature of the Preview application on MacOS devices.
This tool allows the user to create a circular region on a document being edited that enlarges ('zooms') the document elements underneath it, to show detail.
For items that are underneath which are fonts, SVG, or other scalable formats, the zoom appropriately scales those elements upon creation or release of the tool. For items that are underneath which are images with a higher source resolution than what the document is showing, the zoom appropriately re-renders the zoomed region under the highest resolution available for that level of zoom. This circular region can be moved by first tapping it to show the edit-view of the region, and then dragged to a new area. The region can be resized with a small circular button on the boundary of the region by dragging this button inwards or outwards to change resolution.
The region's zoom level can also be changed with a different small circular button on the boundary of the region, by dragging the button clockwise along the boundary (for zoom level increase) or counterclockwise along the boundary (for zoom level decrease). These buttons only appear once you enter edit-view of the region, by tapping the region once.A suggested enhancement to this feature would be to allow the region to be (optionally!) rectangular rather than circular, if the user selects this configuration. The MacOS or iPadOS versions of this feature do not allow the region's shape to be changed from a circle. Perhaps GoodNotes could implement multiple adjustable shapes.
THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THIS FEATURE is that these zoom regions PERSIST when you save and close a document, export it, or share it. That means this zoom feature would be more than just a document viewing tool, like the current GoodNotes 5 zoom window, but an annotation (editing) tool. The changes would be saved to the PDF document or image document.
This can be achieved by rendering the circular region once and saving this region as an image so that it can be embedded into the document or imposed on top of the image file.
Locally, in GoodNotes, it would be even cooler if GoodNotes instead saved the region as part of the notes file, and only flattened (rendered the circular region as an image) when exporting the file or sending it somewhere. This way, the region can be moved later if reopened in GoodNotes. Please see the attached screen recording of the iPadOS "Loupe" feature being used on an image document. I am optimistic that the GoodNotes team can come up with something greater that fits the use case of GoodNotes and meets the need of its users.
Thanks!

Built in digital planner feature
Allow people the chance to create digital planners with hyper links to months and weeks of each year that is specified. Note shelf 2 already has this. I think Goodnotes needs this as well. The CCP virus will mean this feature will become extremely important as people will need a way to track their daily activities.

Create the possibility to create linkable symbols (and build up an automatic index from it)
Let the users select some text and create a linkable symbol attached to the selection. With this, it would be possible to create links to these symbols.
At the first release, an index could be built from all linkable symbols in the notebook.
In a second release, it could be possible to create tags for linkable symbols and create index for specific tags (i.e.: #indexEntry, #sourceReference)4 votes -
Make a Modular Toolbar
So often I find that there are certain tools in the toolbar that I just don't have a lot of use for/only come up once in a blue moon, and I think with the new multi-document feature, this would be more than just a creature comfort.
It would work by allowing you to have all the tools you don't want on the bar in a "chest," and that would include the colors as well. Since you can drag and drop all the UI elements, you can essentially customize your UI to use the least or most amount of space possible!
Use single documents often? Just have all the tools out in the bar like they are currently
Dual-Screen Documents? Hide your least used tools, now you have less resizing to deal with!

Direct to currently open or resume last button on first screen.
I have documents open. I quit Goodnotes on my iPad Pro (swipe up). The next time a open Goodnotes I have to drill down into one of my folders to open one of my documents to open the section of the app that shows all of my documents I had previously been working on. A button on the home screen that lets me resume previous session without the drill down would be spectacular.

Hypervicles or jumps
The inclusion of hyperlinks or jumps in one text to another, or other texts included in the same notebook or in a different one, makes it possible to work with live texts and therefore subject to evolution, correction or expansion, ultimately subject to continuous changes.

Vertical scrolling, shape Tool, Shape Library
Siehe Bild)

Context menu for files in file list
Replace the current option menu with the iOS 13 context menu (long tap) for files in file list. This would provide a better user experience on both iOS and macOS since context menus are used a lot. Also I think that having to tap on the title is not really convenient.
(Sorry for the screenshot in french)

Hide the navigation bar
The biggest problem I have with the current version is that the navigation bar can not be hided. For older ipads, especially for 9 inch display ones, every bit of screen space counts, and the nav bar really takes too much space. So it would be really nice to allow users hide the nav bar while keep pen tool bar on display, just like hiding the nav bar when the pen tool bar is not open.
