duplicating my writings
When writing, I would love the option to duplicate whatever I wrote/drew using the lasso Tool directly (just moving the selected handwriting) like I can do with images. also for some reason it's possible when using split screen but not in the same page. I will attach a video of me duplicating something right away using split screen and then how it's possible to do with the same page ( it takes longer and not as efficient) I will be talking to explain further. thank you

DELETE PAGE button
To delete a page we need to pass through a long process of 5 clics or so.
That's not quick enough.
A single DELETE button on the page, next to ADD PAGE, would be a solution2 votes -

como podéis ver es diminuto, en cambio, en el anterior MBP con catalina, el tamaño era pequeño, pero no tanto, que aproveche el tamaño de la pantalla. gracias

Copy in GoodNotes 5 is very slowwwww.
When you're trying to copy anything on GoodNotes 5 by selecting on the lasso tool and select copy. It "always" take a few moments to load, even though the item size is very small. I don't understand why I need to wait for the program to load every time. It's very annoying!
Ps. GoodNotes 4 and Notability do not have this problem. When I'm trying to copy, it processes instantaneously.3 votes -

Smoothness of Handwriting (Apple Pencil)
I've been using GoodNotes 5 since it had been launched. I found that my handwriting was not as good as in Notability. The ink in GoodNotes 5 seems to lag. I feel like it tries to bend my stroke all the time and I'm quite annoying this. I've tried to set the pressure sensitivity to low, medium and high, however, it stills bending everytime. So I have to write slower in order to make a beautiful handwriting and sometimes it wastes a lot of time!
Ps. I've used GoodNotes 4 before too. The GoodNotes 4 doesn't have this problem.9 votes -
Add Zoom with Mac Magic Mouse
Allow zoom in or zoom out using the opt key+swipe up and down on Mac magic mouse as i.e. Adobe Acrobat.

Document and folder list filter
Add a list on top of the list view to be able to filter folders and documents in the current list quickly.
Search feature does not search for folder names, only documents.

Start Autobackup manually
Dear GoodNotes team, unfortunately I activated the automatic backup function once and only created the PDFs. Re-creating the backup (now with the GoodNotes files) is unfortunately not possible - unfortunately I have a lot of documents and so would have to "touch" each one again to update!? Is there a solution? If not my suggestion would be to be able to start the "Autobackup" manually!

Gallery to share PDF templates created
Hi GoodNotes Team,
I think that on your website or blog (possibly even within the app) you should feature an area where users can share and download pdf templates they have designed to be used on the app. For example weekly planner templates, grocery list templates, to do lists, etc.
As a side note, a partnership with someone like Canva could be really beneficial for your business in something like this. I love using them to create PDF templates for your app!

Dropbox
I’m amazed that people have been suggesting direct access to Dropbox for YEARS now and nothing has come of it. Having to import documents from Dropbox into GoodNotes file management system is ridiculous and tedious; let me open the file directly from Dropbox and save it directly TO Dropbox rather than having to import and export!

Rest area for your hand (moving the zoomed-in document freely)
Have the ability to zoom and have a part of the screen be the outside of the document, so that you could rest your hand, whilst editing the edge of the document.
E. g. the second screenshot is from a table I was filling out and when I got to the rightmost column I couldn't write in it as easily as in the other ones. I am right-handed, so in those screenshots the area is on the right side of the page, but this should work for left-handed people as well, if the area was on the left-hand side of…

Stamp tool for shapes

This would allow users to natively create stamps of their own design using existing GoodNotes tools like shapes AND/OR import photos or shapes that can be added to an internal library of shapes to be used over and over. See below for functionality.User draws or writes something.

Sticky Notes
Please add sticky notes. This would be extreme useful when marking up pdf’s of needing to emphasize something in my own hand written notes. Also when are these updates being done? It seems like some of these things have been requested for 2 years and still not done. Unfortunately if things can not be added, I will find another app that does have these features.

Condensed tabs
Instead of having to scroll through different tabs for notes when several of them are open, they should condense and all stay on the screen for easier access (similar to how google chrome tabs do)

Quick scrolling as in other pdf viewers.
I really miss the feature that many other pdf viewers (and browsers, eg safari) have, where one presses and holds the scrolling button to move it up/down to a desired page.

highlight underneath the text for all text colors
Please add a feature that puts text on top of the highlight whenever text is highlighted. Currently, only black colored writing shows up on top of the highlight. With any other color, the highlight goes on top of the words, which means when I write new text, the color of the words look uneven. Thanks.

Default Text Space
It would be nice if there was a possibility to write on a page just like on a normal Word or Pages page, without having to insert a text field you have to adjust. I usually take notes with the iPad, but lately I started preferring taking notes with the MacBook. I have a lot of issues with the text fields we have at the moment. It is fine if I have to add some notes to a PDF file, but starting on a blank page is just a no for me.
