Copy Toolbox
You can copy an object to the clipboard or a toolbox. The clipboard would function as normal but the toolbox would allow for multiple objects to be pasted into the document without needing to re-copy. Would be helpful for repeated objects like graphing coordinate systems. Example workflow: select objects as normal using lasso, select “copy to toolbox” instead of copy. Select the toolbox icon from the menu in which a drop down list of objects is visible. Select and hold the object and drag into notebook.

Email to notebook
Create an email to notebook function to allow users to add documents directly to notebooks via email.
Ex. Emailing bob@gn.com allows user to send to their GoodNotes files. Adding the name of a specific folder or notebook adds the document or body content to that notebook. Flag new items when a user next opens the app.

Conversion from handwriting to text faster
I find the conversions from handwriting to text very slow and annoying. I would love to have a faster way for the conversion. Please look at the sketches.

Invisible Ink / Review Mode
As a student/foreign language learner, I want to show/hide keywords or explanations from my written notes, so that I could review and recite the keywords/explanations.
As a UI designer, I want to hide/reveal annotations, so that I could a) differentiate the annotating remark from the wireframe / structured notes and b) present notes (to myself and others) with clarity.
I believe note-reviewing is an essential part of the note-taking experience, I try to be more proactive to learn through my notes. Some alternative apps I used are margin notes 3, and liquid text. Margin note 3 in particular, has a…

Accessibility issue: speak highlighted text in PDFs.
I have a brain injury that makes reading extremely laborious and stops me cold after a minute or so. I have a need to “read” and annotate PDF docs, but don’t want to use a different app to speak the text and GoodNotes to annotate. It’s too unwieldy even with multitasking windows because the text does not sync.

Column view file manager for quicker access to documents
A column view like on MacOS or the coming iPadOS. This increase the complete overview of all the documents. Adding some tags would also be nice.

Remember tool per document
Remember the tool I last used in that specific document.
E.g one document where the highlighter is selected and the other document keeps the pen selected, so the selection isn‘t app wide6 votes -
Gesture control
Make the new gesture control optional (so we can turn it off, if we don't use it and don't want to risk using it by mistake).

Reading View while annotating PDFs
PDF annotation in GoodNotes 5 uses about 1/5 of the screen real estate that could have been for viewing and reading. This is an particularly for users with 9.7” screen or smaller. I hope PDF annotation will be allowed in reading mode where only a tiny toolbox for pens and eraser is shown.

cropping multiple pages and splitting the scanned pages in the middle.
When i scan a book , it is faster and more convenient to scan to pages together and we also get some black spaces because the size of the book doesn’t match the size of the scanner.
I want to be able to crop the pages (get rid of black spaces) and split the ‘ two page’ scanned page in the middle.
This site is doing the task but we have to pay for that

Google drive / Mac book app
Hey! You could you please add the old feature again so that I can sync the app with my Mac? It's super annoying to send all the files to my macbook, with GoodNotes 4 I was able to sync with Google Drive. This would help a lot!! Thanks

GoodNotes can‘t handle more than three pdf files
In GoodNotes 5, when I open more than three larger pdf files in tabs, GN 5 can‘t remember the size of the fourth pdf file.
On the attached video, you see a comparison of GoodNotes 4 and GoodNotes 5

Animations in PDFs with Notes
I have a feature request for PDF presentations with animations. It would be very helpful to have a button, that allows to perform the following three actions in a sequence:
1) Copy all handwritten notes on the current slide/page.
Move to the next slide/page
Paste all the handwritten notes at the same place as these have been on the previous slide.
This button would be very helpful for having PDF presentations in lectures.

Implement keyboard shortcut to switch to the text box tool like in GN4 (cmd+shift+T)
I am a physics student and use a hardware keyboard to write text during lectures but use the pencil to draw sketches and write formulas. I am much slower in GN5 because this shortcut is missing.
Keyboard shortcuts to switch between the other tools would also be very welcome.6 votes -
Stability
The new update is SO UNSTABLE! It crashes constantly. Tried to open the older version but the iCloud sync hadn't worked. I've now lost a days work.

Favorites - without thumbnails
Currently, Goodnotes5's favorites are displayed using thumbnails. This makes it very difficult to find the page that I want to read - have to keep scrolling. Bookmarks/favorite has always function as an outline for me when I used Goodnotes 4.
I suggest to allow users to have the option of switching between 1. having thumbnails or 2. without thumbnails and only display the title of the bookmark/favorite (like goodnotes4)

Allow 16:9 for projection
Hi,
It'd be great if, when you hook your iPad up to a projector via, e.g., HDMI, it could switch to a 16:9 format or use it as a mirrored screen at 16:9. Powerpoint, Keynote, etc allow you to this, but it'd be great if I could project what I'm writing to my class in a format that fills the screen.
Thanks!
