Randomly mess up hand writing
When i write in a note for too long, my writing suddenly becomes wonky and is not accurate to what ikm actually writing. like a glitch. I try restarting my device several times and going out of the app and everything but it still makes it suddenly wonky. PLEASE FIX THIS I BEG U! its frustrating and it makes me write slow to fix the sudden issue of lagging handwriting

Options Bar Update (October 2025)
Every time I select anything on screen with the lasso tool the options bar pops up BELOW my selection. Once I go to click out of my selection, the trash button is in the way and deletes my writing. Why on earth would the options bar pop up below when holding down on the selected area results in ANOTHER bar popping up on top of the selection. Super annoying and frustrating when the new position of the tool bar makes me delete everything I select with the lasso tool.

Bring back the ability to draw straight lines
After the latest update, drawing a straight line using the shapes tool is often impossible: If the line I'm trying to draw is close to another line it will snap to either a curved line or a straight line in a very different position from where I drew it. This is a major regression.
In the attached picture, I drew a square and attempted (several times) to draw a diagonal straight line from the top left corner to the bottom right corner. The first time it snapped to a vertical line, the second time it snapped to a horizontal line,…

Fix the typing features ASAP
The typing feature really needs some attention guys. Tell me why when I try to type a page of notes the whole thing glitches out and either won't save my stuff or doubles all the words I've written on top of each other. You also can't continue typing onto a new page like it suggests. This new update also lowkey made the feature worse because now you can't just click on a page to type and you also have to click back to the textbox icon every time you want to drop a box. Shape tool color/thickness should match pen color/thickness automatically
My app just updated, making the toolbar different. Now if I want to use the shape tool to make straight lines or something, I have to manually change every setting from size to color to match my pen tool every single time I change colors/sizes. This makes it very frustrating when I do color coded notes every single day that need me to switch between colors, line thickness, and free drawing vs straight lines constantly (as is visible in my attached screenshots). add a calculator feature! just a small floating basic/scientific calculator.
it would make goodnotes so much more useful. now if i want to use goodnotes and the calculator on my ipad i have to screen split and only have goodnotes in 3/4 of my screen!! so annoying

Reporting issues regarding the update of floating toolbar

As someone who has been using GoodNotes for nearly three years, I was quite surprised by the recent update. Since writing is very important to me and GoodNotes has been one of the best tools I have ever had, I wanted to share some feedback right away:

From home page, a button to return to existing open tabs
Easy to go back to home page to find another file. But something I just want to go back to my existing open tabs. You have a home button, put a return to editing button. Right now the quickest way which is annoying is to open some random file I see on my home page to reaccess my tabs. And then I have to close that random open file.

Auto Refine Handwriting Feature
I'd love if this was added, Apple notes has this feature and it has made me consider switching over. It's so much easier than using text boxes to have nicer writing in your notes. I also like that it still looks like my handwriting, just nicer, not a font. I enjoy reading my notes in my own handwriting instead of fonts because it's less like I'm reading a long essay.

Set Different Default Fonts for Multilingual Typing
Add the ability to set a different default font per language e.g., Hebrew uses one font by default, English another so the font switches automatically when changing keyboard language.

OCR for Inserted Images and Imported PDFs

Deactivate the option “Zoom|Add Link|Add comments”
While writing, my palm touches the screen and most often the "Zoom | Add comment" option pops up. I've already set up the palm detection, it still doesn't work.
It makes the app completely unusable!
I need a setting to deactivate this option!

Added image text OCR functionality
If you import a document converted into PDF into GoodNote or add an image file as a GoodNote file document as an image file, all pages will be in images. At this time, the text file was converted into an image, so even if you want to select the text, the text will not be selected. I need to change fonts in Windows version!!
Dear Good Notes team,
I’d like to make a small suggestion that I believe would make the experience even better: the ability to change fonts in the Windows version. Right now, only one font is available, and it would be amazing to personalize our notes with different styles, just like in the iOS and macOS versions. This would help make our notes more organized, creative, and tailored to each user’s needs.

when you create a folder or study set you can only choose for a few ugly colours, introduce a colour wheel or some sort so we can make our folders any colour so they look aesthetically pleasing and match the vibe of my ipad please and thank you

Search for notes based on time criteria.
When we take a lot of notes during a long period of time, It can be difficult to find them back. It could be useful to generate "timestamps" along a notebook, such as date creation of a page, or tag with the time of the first note of the day, or a stamp with de date/time you want to tag in a page. The time then could be a criterion for search or when you review all the pages.
