Adding pages both vertically and horizontally
It would be great if you could add new pages to the right of each page in vertical scrolling mode, like page(3.1).

Please enlarge undo button
I know gesture function for undo has already been introduced.
But,
I am grabbing pencil in right hand and ipad in left hand, I usually grab ipad for not to be shaken when I am writing, so I have no additional hand to do gesture!! Even need two finger double tap.Rather press undo button is fast and convinient. Eraser button is very useless for me that I have to press pen button again.
So to press undo button accurately is very important for me to use GoodNotes. But button is very small, even the slightest mislocation woudn’t work. To…

Use highlighter to generate Flashcards
Most of the time we use the highlighter to make note of something we want to remember/study. It would be cool if I can use the Question highlighter to highlight a term and the Answer highlighter to highlight the answer. By doing this, flashcards are generated automatically. Happy to chat if needed.

better lasso tool with copy paste
Sometimes I want to copy an area of a pdf file. The current workflow ist:
lasso it -> click screenshot -> click share button -> click copy -> paste.
What about lasso -> copy [as image] -> paste?
The current state is really annoying. In Notability, you can do that with one tap. That shouldn't be too hard to implement, since the screenshot feature is already implemented. After copying something, a pencil tap should instantly open the copy-paste menu instead of holding.

Customisable square size for squared paper
My physical paper has smaller squares per piece of paper. It would be great if i could customise the size of the squares on GoodNotes :)

Dyslexic coloured paper
Hiya, I’m dyslexic and find it easier to read and write on “gold” coloured paper, to be honest it looks more like orange but still!
Would love to see the ability to change the colour of the paper. (- unless there already is and I cant find it? Did try look on google but couldn’t find anything)

Pencil support in Flashcard mode
Flashcards are a great way to learn.
But when studying topics that are more complicated than vocabulary it would be very helpful to be able to write down the answer before checking if it was correct. (For example mathematical derivations). Writing the answer also helps with learning.My idea is that the flashcard screen shows two flashcards: One with the question (like it already does) and one, that is blank. You can write down your answer in the blank flashcard using the Apple Pencil. When clicking the flashcard with the question it flips over and shows the correct answer, so…

CROSS-PLATFORM EXPERIENCE: would allow the app to take market share from OneNote and Notability while making the experience better !
A web version or PC version of the app would make it 10x better as someone who got an iPad for drawing medical figures in school but still uses a PC.

"write neat and fast" handwriting practice templates
I'm in the process of creating timed handwriting practice sheets for note takes to be able to write neater and faster by practicing under a specified time limit so that they can take easier to read or neater notes while writing quickly during fast-paced lectures without having the need to rewrite or make them neater afterward by spending a lot of time or even you just don't want it to take too long just to copy down your notes in neater handwriting.

Detect duplicate documents (especially on import)
TL;DR: Sometimes when bulk-importing, duplicates might be accidentally imported. Catch these potential duplicates and query if we still want to import.
When performing bulk imports, I occasionally have duplicates present (due to the way my main import source structures PDFs). This ultimately means that what I think might be a unique file actually already exists in GoodNotes. Ideally, this could work at the PDF level, but may only be easily-done on a fuzzy-name basis.
e.g. say the file I'm importing has the name "Mind Games 40c0de54-120f-0d77-9ae5-e96083fb1f9b" – while the UUID present (the 40c0de54-120f-0d77-9ae5-e96083fb1f9b) is very likely to be unique, I…

Texting box should be like those writing tools
It is VERY ANNOYING for me to use text box if we can’t save our favorites colors like what we are doing for those writing tools.

So I haven't used the app consistently in about a year.. Recently I've began using it again. I've uploaded a text i'm studying in pdf form. While I am studying I am taking notes and I thought how nice it would be to include these features. customized cursor to show where apple pencil is hovering on surface
I use the app to teach mathematics and computer science lectures to college students in online mode. One very important feature that is missing at present is that students have to use their attention to determine WHERE on the slide or notebook I am presently writing (i.e. they need to determine where new writing is showing up). Whereas, in a physical classroom, it's easy to see where the professor is and where in the blackboard he/she is writing or modifying a diagram. Allow for animations to be made
For example, I want to see how a sorting algorithm works but it’s hard to see the steps by making a bunch of graphs. So being able to make a small animation will help visualize how something works without having to create a bunch of pages
