Provide different fonts in type section of Goodnotes
Apparently goodnotes 6 only provides 1 default font type in the "typing section",
I suggest goodnotes to provide different text fonts in goodnotes, such as "Times New Roman", just like in the textbox feature.
If this feature of providing different text font is also provided in the "typing section", this would be very useful, as some people are only used to a particular type of font.

Add Brush Settings and Improved Handwriting for the Fountain Pen, Similar to the Pencil Tool
The newly added pencil tool in Goodnotes 6 offers an excellent writing and sketching experience, with smooth and intuitive strokes. It would be fantastic to have similar brush settings and handwriting functionality for the fountain pen, giving users the option to adjust it for more stable, precise writing. Currently, the fountain pen feels unstable, and I often find myself switching to Noteful for better handwriting. If the fountain pen could incorporate the same improvements seen in the pencil tool, it would make Goodnotes 6 a more versatile and complete tool for note-taking and sketching.

Add a 'group' feature
Add a grouping feature, similar to that in PPT or other MS apps, so areas of handrwriting, text, or other elements can be grouped together and moved or resized together easily, without having to tediously select desired elements with the Lasso tool.
This way, drawings or diagrams with multiple sections can be layered and easily adjusted.2 votes -
Collapse and open sticky notes
The collapsible sticky note feature is really great! However, when you open it again it opens as a comment and not as a sticky note. Would it be possible to have it open as a sticky note again, and maybe also have the choice on what it should look like (number, symbol, size) when collapsed. This could really help my notes taking!

Import Speaker Notes from Powerpoint (PPTX) files
Please create an option to natively import speaker notes from powerpoint files into either adendums to each slide, separate slides that follow each slide the notes are associated with, or another method like a sticky note on each slide. It shouldn't be a massive hassle to implement, since Powerpoint files can be extracted by command line as zip files, and all the speaker notes are located in /ppt/notesSlides/notesSlide*.xml files, with each slide having its own notesSlide.xml file. The speaker notes are located in plaintext in these files in some basic OpenXML formatting that Microsoft came up with for office. Specifically, the plaintext notes are located between <a:t> and < / a : t > in each XML file. For the enduser, it is much too arduous to manually copy and paste these speaker notes into GoodNotes, but I think GoodNotes could fairly easily implement some way to import these notes from PowerPoint files natively. Importantly, this would allow students to better use the AI in GoodNotes 6 to ask questions about the presentation, assuming that professors put additional information that they read aloud in the speaker notes, as mine do. Please consider, thank you!

Improve pencil drawing quality - currently too light to use and must be part of pen options rather than standalone as present.

Continuous Note Taking
It would be great if we could write notes off on the margins for pdfs or have a continuous note taking feature instead of having to add new pages to a document.

Character autocorrect
Be able to autocorrect specific handwritten characters.
You could create your own character, for example “z”, “/“, or an integral, and if Goodnotes recognizes your handwriting and “sees” that it’s similar, it gives you the option to replace it.
Your “autocorrect” characters are handwritten.Additionally, being able to lasso “add” a character to this character autocorrect. As we all know, nicely written characters are usually made when you’re not trying.
Possibly allow this feature to be a button so people can turn it on to read that specific page to reduce potential frustration with constant autocorrect suggestions.

VPAT(S) and Accessibility Statement request
Please evaluate the Goodnotes app for accessibility and provide VPAT(S) and an. Accessibility Statement with your security and privacy options. VPAT version of the template should be 2.4 or higher (itic.org/policy/accessibility/vpat) and use the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 AA (w3.org/TR/WCAG21/)or higher standards.
Aside from making your application as accessible as possible to make it inclusive and abide by current laws, it will help you comply with the April 2024 update to the Title II if the ADA (federalregister.gov/documents/2024/04/24/2024-07758/nondiscrimination-on-the-basis-of-disability-accessibility-of-web-information-and-services-of-state#). This new update requires all federal, state, county and city agencies (which includes public institutions) to provide accessible content, websites and applications (including mobile) by either April 2026 or April 2027, depending on their size.
You do have a great app, but it needs many accessibility improvements. One, for example, is exporting accessible (tagged) PDFs and offer a writing to text option.
Thank you,
