  1. Ability to set default font per notebook

    My most used goodnotes notebooks are drastically different page sizes. I often have to switch the font continuously or duplicate an existing text box in the destination notebook in order to have the proper sized font.

    it would be nice to have the creation date in the drop down menu under every page/file/note

  3. Tape and smart learn

    Hello,
    I think that it is highly inconvenient that the tape tool becomes uninteractive while reviewing cards in the smart learn mode, both tools are extremely practical and I think that being able to combine the two of them would increase the learning experience.
    We could then make flash cards with sentences where the key words are covered with tape to see we know it in depth.

    Online there are tremendously useful AI services that convert a PDF to a set of study cards. It would be amazing to be able to have AI convert notes to study sets automatically.

  8. Lock the content

    I wish I could lock the content or pictures I wrote with a pen. Every time I write, if I accidentally select a photo, it suddenly moves, which is inconvenient. If I could lock and unlock the photos or text I want written with a pen, this problem could be solved. Please help me.

  9. Two Pages view

    Hello GoodNotes Team,

    I use the GoodNotes app daily for studying and journaling, and I’d like to suggest a feature that could make the user experience even smoother.

    Currently, to view two pages side-by-side, I need to enter split mode, which requires multiple steps: pressing the split mode button, selecting GoodNotes again, and reopening the file. While this works, it can be inconvenient, especially for frequent use.

    I’d love to suggest a two-page view that automatically activates when the device is placed horizontally (landscape orientation) without needing additional steps or split mode. This adjustment would allow for a seamless experience…

    I would like to suggest incorporating AI technology into GoodNotes to enhance and beautify handwritten notes. This feature could improve handwriting in real-time, making it more legible and visually appealing, similar to what Apple Notes has introduced. This addition would greatly benefit users who prefer handwriting but desire a cleaner and more consistent appearance for their notes.

  11. I want to lock text boxes and photos.

    I want to lock text boxes and photos.
    If I put a lot of text boxes and photos, they move with the slightest touch and I need to do something about the mess on the edit screen. I really want this done now. I want the text boxes and photos to stay put. By the way, freeboard has a lock feature.

  12. Folder order

    Allow user to be able to drag and organise different notes/folders etc into any order that they want, instead of being limited to organising them by ‘date’ ‘name’ or ‘type’. I believe that this would allow me to organise my Goodnotes app that extra step further to make it perfect.

  15. "Battery saver mode" and "Performance mode" in GoodNotes for iPad

    I noticed that my iPad battery gets drained very quickly when I use Goodnotes. It would be great if the Goodnotes team could introduce the features of "Battery saver mode" and "Performance mode" so that it won't consume a lot of battery when I don't need peak performance.

    Also, it would be even great to have to GoodNotes team decrease the overall battery consumption of app without introducing those 2 features :)

  16. Add LaTeX Equations in flashcards

    I wished I could insert equations into my flashcards in the text part. Just like how I would insert an equation in LaTeX... Since GoodNotes allows to convert handwritten text to LaTeX equations, it would be nice to insert the LaTeX code directly into the flashcard for studying formulae.

    To Link across documents
    Make it more useable like LiquidText , like just linking things with just connecting words and pages. Which will be more helpful for researching.
    Add a side notes taking freespace for pdfs like LiquidText , which will also be very helpful.

    About tape tilt
    When you pull the masking tape, it ends up at an angle, which is inconvenient.
    Therefore, I would like to be able to pull the tape straight instead of diagonally.

  19. Please add sync capabilities outside of icloud (e.g. onedrive)

    A lot of people, including myself can't really use iCloud for professional or personal reasons, and so it would help immensely if we can have Goodnotes sync be a feature for other cloud services like Onedrive or google drive. I don't mean the automatic backup feature, I mean live syncing between devices via Onedrive and other applications

  20. Noise with timer and outside the notebooks

    It would be useful to have atimer that can make a noise when the countdown has over.
    And the timer could be out the notebooks.
