Have Libraries with Bookshelves to store the Notebooks
what if goodnotes did not have FOLDERS but shelves and libraries. Example: i may have a "personal" library, a "work or professional" library, maybe one for my "clubs", and one for the uni or school.
in the "school" library i may have a shelf for chemistry, one for biology, maths, languages etc. on the "language" shelf i might have notebooks for Eng, French, German, or Grammar, or Literature Autumn Semester 2021 etc...

Ability to change ink thickness using lasso tool
In goodnotes its not possible to change ink thickness after writing.
To change ink thickness, one has to rewrite it with a different pen thickness.This is a basic requirement of a handwritting app

Flash card open image
In order to see details of pictures in a flash card, would like a feature to select the image and have it pop-out into a zoomable window to review details.

Different search highlight colors
Enable different search highlight colors. I tend to use orange highlighter (best for multiple layers for emphasis) and the search highlighter gets drowned out with it.

Remember scale when reloading tabs
When more than three tabs are open, the fourth one always reloads when you tap on it. I can live with that, it’s fast, but the annoying thing is that it goes back to standard scale every time. Very annoying.
I also think that todays iPads can fit more than three tabs in the memory.

Suggestion for the pen cursor on GoodNotes 5 for Mac
It could be good that if the pen cursor of GoodNoted 5 for Mac is changed to the cursor in OneNote (simply a small dot instead of a cross).

Enhanced Collaboration Options
I share my Bullet Journal with a virtual assistant so she knows what I’m working on and can pick up tasks from it. But sharing for collaboration is all or nothing — every notebook and full editing permissions. Read-only permissions and collaboration on a single notebook would be helpful.

Improve size of flash cards on mac
The flash card studying window on a mac is not using the screen size. The window on an iMac is so small that the cards are only barely readable even if the application is opened as a full screen window.

I want GoodNotes to adapt to iOS and iPad OS by pressing the long scroll bar. As shown in the photo. In other Apps, I can press the scroll bar for quick scroll, but it is invalid in GoodNotes!
I'm quite surprised that this iOS system feature has been two years since iOS 13. GoodNotes is still not adapted, which has brought a lot of trouble to use. I hope it can be adapted as soon as possible, and the experience brought by a little improvement is huge! Thank you to GoodNotes team!

This function should be optional for people to use. And those functions can define by self. It would makes people convenient to use those functions.

Blank page creation for current template
Give the ability to create a blank page (pure white) using the current template size. Often, when importing slide decks into goodnotes, they have varying sizes and I'll have to go into MSPaint or something and create a blank slide template to import with the proper resolution size. So giving the ability to not only copy the current template but cover it with a white page would be awesome! Thanks

about automatically adapt
hi, i'm writing for asking that why can't this software automatically adapt to landscape iPads? Every time you open a new file, you need to manually resize it, which is inconvenient. look forward to your reply. thank you.

Beeing able to put objects, pictures, ... in the background or foreground.
Especially when picture, notes, ... overlap this would be extremely useful

Increase contrast in tab names
The names on the tabs at the top of the screen are hard to read as the lettering is only a few shades darker than the color of the tab itself. It would be great if you could increase the contrast between those two colors or give users the option to change it. Thanks.

Double-tap to draw
Recognize a double-tap to change to drawing mode. Could also do triple-tap to change to erase. Or let user assign the action.

Element lasso
Change the lasso tool so that it separates images and elements.
So it would have:
'Handwriting'
'Images'
'Elements'
'Text boxes'
in the options for what you can select.
Because when im trying to move a small element on a large image, it moves them both which is not what i want to do.4 votes
