Duplicate an image after taking a screenshot (at the same size)
After a screenshot is done, and we've resized it down, and we make another copy ... it would be awesome to have that 2nd copy be the same size of the previous (which we cropped ourselves) rather than the very 1st original copy.

add Keyboard Shortcuts that really help
first idea:
One may think. The share of the target group that uses KEYBOARD shortcuts most probably uses also text boxes (are terrible due to lack of formatink like notability but that idea is already in the top listing her). But when you are „in a textbook“ you cannot hit shortcuts nor can you tab out of a text. Why not make „ESC“ let the textbook unselect or press ⌘ to force other shortcuts. sometime i will change text box mode to pen mode but the short cut does not work. Extract highlighted content to a new document for summary
Imagine you are writing a thesis, you need to read tonnes of heavy journals and you want to easily extract the essence of the content for use in your work. While highlighting is useful, being able to remove everything else and only see the highlighted content you have marked will significantly improve the understanding of that journal.
And imagine if the content is editable too, as in exporting it to a Word file. Can you imagine how this reduces the time spent on reviewing literature??!16 votes -
Two languages in one notebook
I am studying Spanish, and I usually write the English translation of vocabularies in my GoodNotes Notebook. But the notebook can only recognize one of the languages which are sometimes a bit chaotic when I am trying to look for particular vocabularies. Thanks.

Linienarten
Es wäre sehr gut, wenn man in GoodNotes - ähnlich wie in Office - die Linienarten einstellen könnte. Also z.B. eine gestrichelte Linie für das Zeichnen von verdeckten Linien. Oder auch die Strich-Punkt-Linie für eine Symmetrieachse.

Apple Pencil changing switching colours
Changing between tool is nice but I would love to see an option that would switch between the pen colour instead.

malfunctioning return
If you press return it also deletes content from pages you are not at the moment, sometimes you tap it once or twice too often, just to find out later that you accidentally deleted stuff from the previous page.

I have two different App Store accounts! I got a new IPad and had no idea I was using a separate account from my phone. How can I switch between accounts within the app to access everything I have on my iPad when I am using my phone?

Quick Screenshot copying
At the moment for copying a screenshot, which is something most people do a lot when taking notes, we need to press the screen 4 different times:
Long press after marking with lasso tool => Take Screenshot on the menu => share menu => copy.
It takes a lot of time for something being done pretty a lot and more than the other sharing options so I believe that many people will find it usefull.37 votes -
Pens
I know there are several posts like this but I think it would benefit ALL users if we had more pen choices. I would definitely understand if there’s a reason as to why there’s only 2... but I can’t think of one and as this IS a note taking app. Since this replaces the pen and paper method,I would think it makes sense that those creating/updating GoodNotes would want their users to have the most realistic writing experience when using the app. If using pen and paper, there are far more than 2 choices to write with and digital note…

Marketplace
It would be a great idea to implement a Marketplace with in app purchases like in Notability, that way everyody could customize goodnotes for his own use of the app. I think that would solve many common requests, for example the need of more pens and stylus, graphics tools or even math recognizing features.

Edit image >> round corners; change exposure, saturation, brightness; bring to back front
It would be great to have more options of editing images:
Prioritised order —
* able to change order PLEASE (send to front or back)
* rounded corners (roundedness can be scalable)
* edit image (exposure, contrast, saturation, brightness, etc....)

Automatic Updates for iOS and MacOS
Although I have automatic updates turned on in the App store, I frequently have to manually update the app on each device. I see that this has something to do with the "phased release" of updates. It would, however, be lovely not to have to take these extra steps on a regular basis.

Pinch out to enter navigation view
Navigating documents in GoodNotes is hardly the most intuitive - the only view button is placed awkwardly on the top left next to an exit document button and a search button! Pinching out currently does nothing, so why not let it change the view to the current thumbnail view? Ideally, this view could also incorporate a scrubbing timeline along the bottom of the screen to allow direct access to positions in a document.

Zoom window in one side in landscape mode
It would be nice if the zoom window can be put on the left side(for left handers) or right side of the screen on landscape mode instead of on the bottom.
