Shape shifter
Improve shape snap. If I draw a heart, a cloud bubble, arrow, it changes to a square. Can we get better shapes, see picture example.

Hello GoodNotes Team,
Making the toolbar floating and removing the option for a fixed version seriously hurts the user experience. Students like us spend hours taking notes and need focus, but the toolbar constantly moves, sometimes overlaps our work, and it slows us down.
There’s a simple solution that makes everyone happy:
• Floating toolbar
• Fixed (classic) toolbarLet users choose what works for them. It’s really that simple.
Please add a “Classic Toolbar Mode.” This change would make a huge difference for many users.

Option for Static Text Editor Bar rather than Moving with Text Box
The text editor bar now moves with the text when you type with the new update. This is very distracting due to the constant shifting of the items on the bar while trying to type and blocks the other information on the page. PLEASE FIX URGENTLY.

Added detailed thickness adjustment
I’m currently using an Apple Pencil tip that’s optimized for 0.38, so I usually set it to that thickness. However, the available options are only 0.3, 0.35, and 0.4, which feels a bit limiting. It would be great if we could set more precise values like 0.38 or even 0.28 for finer control!

Additional tape function is recommended
It's really annoying to erase the tape one by one

Covering the entire tape It would be really convenient to put a function to cover the entire tape in the place of the tape tool, but it's a shame that there's no simple function like this. Better customisable tool bar
Please add the option to freely customise the tools inside of the Apple Pencil Pro menu. I also would love to see more colour options in this menu instead of the normal three.

Add more precise thickness adjustment options
My Apple Pencil tip works best with a thickness of 0.38, so I usually try to match that. However, the available options are limited to values like 0.3, 0.35, and 0.4, which feels a bit restrictive.
It would be much better if we could set more precise values, such as 0.38 or 0.28, by allowing finer adjustments within ranges like 0.2–0.3 or 0.3–0.4.

Sin, cosin and more clean shapes
Please introduce the ability to draw more variation of shapes, others than Lines, polygons, circles, ellipses and parabolas. Me as an engineering student would love to draw different curvy lines. I would recommend to add like 3,4,5… order polynomials and what really should be introduced is an easy and efficient way to draw sin and cosin.

Improve textbox toolbar - remove floating toolbar
When using a text box the toolbar will drop down to the text box instead of staying by the stationary/fixed toolbar, which results in the toolbar covering the textbox, sometimes not showing up, and sometimes I must manually close the keyboard (I don’t have a separate keyboard for my IPad so I type on the screen) to access the toolbar options. In the next update please let the textbox tools stay at the stationary toolbar, and add the previous textbox menu (with only some choices such as delete and copy/cut/paste etc.) to end corner of the textbox. Apple Pencil Integration
Goodnotes should add a native option that lets the Apple Pencil Pro double tap switch between specific tools like pen and shape with no menu steps, no delays, and no forced use of Apple’s default actions. The app should give users a simple tool toggle setting inside the Apple Pencil menu, where you pick two tools and the double tap flips between them. The app should also expose these tool switches as actions in the Shortcuts app so users can build custom automations. Tabs
Making the tabs bar condensed while writing so that there’s more room on the screen for the paper. This would also make the new toolbar more useful!

Menu orders keep changing
With the newest updates to Goodnotes, the order of menu items keeps changing. Sometimes, Copy is at the top of the menu, sometimes it is at the bottom of the menu. It appears this is called “Dynamic/context-sensitive menus” and it is terrible. You now have to read the entire menu every time to figure out where Copy is located within the menu because the location of Copy within the menu keeps changing. Simple Copy and Paste now takes so much longer. Please either bring back the fixed menu or allow us to toggle the dynamic/context-sensitive menu OFF.

Stop changing the UI
As a Goodnotes user for the past 10 years: please stop changing the UI. I know the business and product teams probably feel pressure to keeping adding more stuff to get more users and growth whatever, but you are alienating your hardcore power users that have been recommending this product for 10 years.
UX Designers: the existing toolbar was great. stop refactoring stuff just because you built a new thing and don't know where to shove it.

Catagorize outlines
I would love it if in the outlines menus if we could add multiple pages to one specific outline so I don’t have 5 pages with the same outline name and I could have all 5 pages under one category. I feel that it would make the outlines much cleaner and more helpful when finding a certain page in that catagory.

double click to activate text box
There was a time, in a previous version, where I could double tap a mouse or trackpad and a text box would appear. It would be great if that could return as it makes for a more seamless experience.

最近大量使用套索工具，還有複製貼上筆記在不同的檔案
舉例來說我在文件A使用套索工具選取筆記，如果要複製到剪貼簿，必須圈選完點右邊的的更多選單，才能選取複製。不然就是要複製在該頁面，然後剪下，才能在文件B貼上筆記
此外，貼上的筆記的選單也跟圈選時不一樣，因為編輯有時候有特定且大量的操作，希望整個自訂功能可以完善，自訂出一條在個人使用特定幾個編輯功能可以最有效率的工具清單~1 vote -
[Lock Objects] Make lock harder to unlock
Now that lock has been implemented, I find it too easy to select the locked object, making writing on top of it difficult.
How about something like a long press to unlock or something like that so the locked item stays locked and unselected.
