Font size as percentage of page
Students get slides/notes/etc from multiple professors so they end up being different sizes so my idea is for font size to be a function of the width of the page (as a %) rather than an absolute value like it is now. This would make the text tool much more convenient as I could type notes without worrying about if what I'm writing is too small or too big.

Option to disable press and hold to follow hyperlink in editing mode
I am using a planner that has the entire square of a day in a calendar hyperlinked… so if I’m trying to tap and hold to edit a sticker, etc. it only lets me open the link. I’d like the option to disable that feature…or at least append the image edit, crop, etc menu to the “open link” menu that is displayed….
This is also an issue for tapping and holding to paste… Thank you!3 votes -
Support for pasting in x-callback links
I use a lot of x-callback links, like a link to a DEVONthink document. The new linking feature assumes that it’s an HTTP link, and therefore puts in the HTTP in front of it, which doesn’t work for the x-callback types of links.

Ability to find highlighted and hand notes in one place for documents
There are many requests posted for this feature but listed under different threads.
For students and professionals researching and taking notes this is very helpful when compiling or reviewing notes afterwards. Not having this feature defeats the purpose of highlighting and taking notes. Unless GoodNotes wants to just target small documents and sticky notes.3 votes -
Adding / inserting new page to current page
Please consider the ability to add a new page to the right and/or left (horizontally positioned) to my current page. It would allow for adding quick notes (or long notes) without having to add an unnecessary full (vertical) page which I don’t need, or reposition my current text and pages to make room for said notes. Otherwise, loving Goodnotes 5. Thank you for considering!

Permanent Selective Tool
"A selection tool that makes everything inside the selected section permanent, which cannot be erased by an eraser or moved by an lasso pen".
Add a warning as well to notify the user once made permanent cannot be reverted back. Let it be redone by undo incase of any mistake or whatever suits your logic.
So the notes we take can be set permanent and if we want to scribble on top of it we can do so!!!

Can the knowledge management system provide other options besides folders?
Can you improve or allow us to edit the icon of the folder? It really looked monotonous and boring. Or can you build a knowledge note management system with tags and dividers as the framework?

Basic full screen editing
There should be a way to edit pdfs or books in full screen mode. Just basic editing capability is needed for eg. a single pen or highlighter option should be there so that we can underline, mark or write something while reading in full screen just like we do for any hardcopy. Reading on full screen mode, the experience is on another level and if basic editing capability is added it will be just perfect( cherry on top of cake).

Toolbar position on left side of screen in landscape mode
In smaller iPads toolbar and document tabs take lot of working space.
If toolbar can be shifted to left side of screen in landscape mode it will be of great help.19 votes -
Make Lasso tool be able to move content from one page to another
Make it so that when using lasso select, the elements of what you’re lassoing are able to move between page to page

Scrolling through colors
I think you should be able to pick your top three most-used colors to be displayed but then have the ability to scroll for faster color change. Often times when I am taking notes in class, if I want to change colors, having to open the whole folder can get me behind. While this doesn't seem like a huge deal, in college-class note-taking, every second counts and even if you miss one small detail, it can cause issues. This would be really really really helpful!

Dyslexic coloured paper
Hiya, I’m dyslexic and find it easier to read and write on “gold” coloured paper, to be honest it looks more like orange but still!
Would love to see the ability to change the colour of the paper. (- unless there already is and I cant find it? Did try look on google but couldn’t find anything)

Flashcard improvement
I love the flashcard feature. But the flashcard display has got to be bigger: full screen. I put my maths theorems on flashcards and the text gets quite small.
I need to be able to zoom in, and treat them like a normal page while I'm doing the flashcards.
Also, it would be great to have space to write out your attempt at the flashcard before you reveal the answer. At the minute I have to open a document in a new tab.

Make a way to organise open pages
If i open a lot of pages I accidentally close pages and I want a way to see all of the open pages in a glance and switch between them every time i need then and i will not have to worry about closing page and as a result of that i need to search again for the close page

Notify user when a notebook has been excluded from backups
I have seen some relatively dangerous behavior regarding notebooks set to auto-backup. When the backup process crashes/fails, the failing notebooks are automatically excluded from subsequent autobackups (see screenshot).
This behavior is acceptable, and probably even desirable, so that other notebooks can continue backing up just fine.
What bothers me about this behavior however is that I receive absolutely ZERO notification that one of my notebooks is no longer backing up. The only way that I can find to learn this is to manually navigate to Settings-->Automatic Backup-->View Backup Queue and note the list of excluded notebooks. This seems very dangerous…

shapes selection
When you draw some shapes on top of each other and you would like to align the shapes perfectly, you can't select the shape you draw afterwards. May you can do it better. E.g. you can select all shapes near the area you have tapped with your finger.

Thicker textmarker
Allow a thicker textmarker. The 7.7 mm aren't enough for some slides.
I also use sometimes the textmarker for highlighting something by holding the marker for a perfekt rectangular - and therefore it also should be possible to make a thicker line.3 votes -
double tapping when changing colours
When you would like to change the colour of the second colour stack an you are already in the first stack you can't double-tab onto the second coulor stack to change it.
E.g. you already write in the coulour black in your document. Then you would like to have the colour blue (but you don't have it on the other colour stacks) then you would like to change the colour immediately and you doubletab onto the second coulour stack but this does not work.1 vote -
