Please enlarge undo button
I know gesture function for undo has already been introduced.
But,
I am grabbing pencil in right hand and ipad in left hand, I usually grab ipad for not to be shaken when I am writing, so I have no additional hand to do gesture!! Even need two finger double tap.Rather press undo button is fast and convinient. Eraser button is very useless for me that I have to press pen button again.
So to press undo button accurately is very important for me to use GoodNotes. But button is very small, even the slightest mislocation woudn’t work. To…

Ability to write with Apple Pencil in “Comments” instead of typing
it’s a great function especially when you are running out Of space on ur page.
I have a suggestion, here we are typing to add notes. Wouldn’t it be nice if we were just allowed to write on the black dialog box that opens up, straight with our apple pencils? As most of us will be using our Apple Pencil to take notes.6 votes -

Sticker Size
I don’t know if this is just me, but I noticed that when using a sticker from my saves, it's size varies depending on the zoom percentage that I'm on currently. For example, when I'm on a document while zoomed out and use a sticker and readjust it's position after zooming in, it's size seems to get different. This is really unsatisfying, because I use the stickers option for bullet points, as there isn’t an option yet to do that separately.

So many basic tools are missing
*no send to back/bring to front options
*no table creation options
*no way of editing hyperlinks within goodnotes, you have to do it externally
*no layer tool (adding this would solve the send to back issue)
*no opacity settings for pens
*no bullet point options for typingThese are such basic tools in other apps and I’m actually astounded GoodNotes does not have them. Even word 2007 had some of these options, let’s not pretend they’re innovative tools. Without them GoodNotes is frustrating to use and frankly just a poor way of organising information, I really expect better, come on…

Tables in Notebooks, Whiteboard

Erase imported pdf datas
There should be a feature to erase the imported pdfs in a way that will clean the places we do not want. Erase with a pen, but it can also erase embedded information in a pdf. Like Adobe Scan cleaner feature.

Fix Disabling Screen Auto Lock
iPad still locks even with "Automatic Screen Lock" disabled when having multiple GoodNotes windows open; not necessarily in splitscreen, just instances.
If only one GoodNotes window exists in my iPad active apps, the screen doesn't lock (stays awake as desired). Multiple GoodNotes instances defeat this feature.

Text analysis: enable coding / tagging of text passages
I use GoodNotes for my studies and often have to summarize texts / papers or analyze them with regards to specific topics. What would be really helpful there if you can mark and associate specific parts of the text (e.g., some words, a sentence, etc.) with a chosen term ("tag" / "code") and have a view where you can filter for all of the passages marked with that tag. Researchers use that similarly for qualitative data analysis with dedicated programs (see for example: https://atlasti.com/2017/03/16/make-best-codes-atlas-ti/). "write neat and fast" handwriting practice templates
I'm in the process of creating timed handwriting practice sheets for note takes to be able to write neater and faster by practicing under a specified time limit so that they can take easier to read or neater notes while writing quickly during fast-paced lectures without having the need to rewrite or make them neater afterward by spending a lot of time or even you just don't want it to take too long just to copy down your notes in neater handwriting.

Batch import of Files / Images into page order
When batch importing images / files (via icloud) they are placed in random page order and need to be manually sorted.
Example. I photograph my hand drawn Moleskine note books into Goodnotes as a reference and archive. BUT, the images in Icloud are all in a numbered order, but they are randomly imported in Goodnotes and I need to spend a considerable time putting them in order.

Texting box should be like those writing tools
It is VERY ANNOYING for me to use text box if we can’t save our favorites colors like what we are doing for those writing tools.

Please add the square root symbol (aka the radical) to the recognized shapes so when you draw one freehand it snaps to the correct shape. It can be difficult drawing one without the top part getting squiggly. (tags: math, algebra, calculus, statistics, science, engineering, shapes)
