1. Make the elements collection tool bar bigger

   After element button is selected, the collection bar at bottom should be able to be made bigger when opened, the images are so small it's hard to see them even on a 12" iPad

2. Auto-refine Handwriting

   I’d like to suggest that GoodNotes add an auto-refine or handwriting smoothing feature that subtly corrects small imperfections in handwriting without changing the user’s natural writing style.

   Currently, when writing with the Apple Pencil using the ballpoint pen, I’ve noticed that the strokes sometimes add unwanted flicks or extra lines at the end of letters, which makes the handwriting look less clean and natural, this is extremely irratating as on other app my handwriting doesnt appear to be like that. Even with the stability setting at zero, it still happens, and it disrupts the flow of writing, especially for users who write quickly or use cursive.

   An auto-refine option (or an improved stabilization engine) could help automatically clean up these flicks and overlines while keeping the handwriting authentic and responsive.

   It would be great if this feature could be adjustable, so users could choose how much correction or refinement is applied depending on their writing style.

6. 線種が共通化

   直線で囲われた図形を書く際に、勝手に線種がそろってしまう。
   空間図形などは、奥にある線は点線、手前は実線で書きたいという場面がありますが、今回のアップデートで、直線でもつながると線種がそろってしまい非常に厄介。

9. Find and replace text

   For long text documents, it would be helpful to have a find and replace option. I have a document, for example, that has 124 instances of the same name that needs to be changed. Right now, I can only do it manually in Goodnotes 6.

10. Shape tool

    I really love the addition of the elbow/curved line correctors, perfect shape tools, and stroke settings, however the issues coinciding with these are making them hard to enjoy.
    1. Arrows and other connecting lines auto attach to other shapes in the document with seemly no way of detaching them. I understand they are called connecting lines for a reason and are meant for connecting diagrams and flow charts, but I almost never use them to connect objects or shapes. This makes using them to draw arrows and other pictures very frustrating and annoying. The new shape tool does not have the ability to turn off "snap to other shapes" or any other general settings to edit shapes like hold to draw. It would be nice to be able to use hold to draw with the auto shape tool as well to draw "imperfect" or irregular objects instead of having to switch back to the pen tool while using the shape tool. The pen tool has these settings and I tried turning off snap to shape but it didn't fix the issue. Hopefully this will be part of the toolbar customization but if not, please add this back so connector lines do not auto attach to other shapes.
    2. Shape selection is difficult and inconsistent. Tapping with the finger is kinda annoying. It's much easier and more convenient in the flow of writing to use the pen to tap to select (which does still work for the most part.) Many times after drawing a shape & especially connector lines, the shape will not select by tapping with finger or pen. I have to zoom around the page or click other tools then try again before selection works. This seems to be maybe just a glich or a bug but it would still be easier if we could choose to select with the pen only.
    3. Previously there was a way to round the edges of a shapes by holding down after drawing but that does not seem to work anymore. Please bring back this function or add this to the shape editing options.
    4. It would be nice if there was a setting to use the same color presets with all of the different writing and drawing tools. It's annoying to use a color (especially ones not in the default custom colors) in the pen setting then switch to highlighter or shape tool and need the same color but it is not in those presets. I also don't want to add all 50 or so different colors to 3-4 different presets.
    5. Other miscellaneous ideas: ability to flip an image/object/shape vertically or horizontally in addition to rotation, use other tools like lasso and shapes while using the zoom window, group and align options for different selections (text boxes with pictures, objects, images, other shapes).

13. Ability to change ruler opacity

    I want to use the ruler for reading documents, so being able to increase ruler opacity would mean I could obscure the text behind the ruler, making it easier to focus on what I’m reading.

14. Why was it removed?

    Why were the Arabic fonts removed? All my friends and I are upset about the removal of the Arabic fonts. If they are not returned, I and all my friends will cancel the subscription and it will not be renewed. This is a tragedy. I have a project that I have been working on and coordinating for three years. I am surprised that today it is in a state of chaos because of the removal of the fonts that I was applying to it.

    Add an option to pay a ONE-TIME fee (or even better, make it free) to have access to your files on your windows devices if you've already paid for special edition on IOS...
    Why are mac users getting privileges over windows users?
    Why do windows users have to pay a monthly fee to just view their files??

16. Sync between iOS and Windows/Android

    I am a user who subscribed to the Goodnotes Essential plan a few days ago. I was looking into why my Goodnotes library won't sync between Windows and iOS, and I found the following text:

    'If you purchased this plan before September 23, 2025, you are eligible for Goodnotes Cloud. If you purchased this plan after September 23, 2025, you will need to upgrade to the Goodnotes Pro plan to use Goodnotes Cloud.'

    When will cross-platform sync be supported for the Essential plan? I subscribed to this plan because the pricing clearly indicated that the Essential plan also supports cross-platform sync, so I am confused that the sync is not working.

17. [shapes] Please bring back the old shape settings

    I can’t really use the new shape tool to teach geometry.
    The new version
    - attaches the handwritten data to the shape, so I can’t move them separately
    - automatically deletes parts of my handwritten notes if it’s on a shape
    - it’s not possible to rotate the shapes.
    - I can’t remove the border of the shape.

    I attached a few drawings that could be made easily in the previous versions.
    Thanks if you consider to bring back the previous settings for the shape tool.

18. Snap shape fill needs revision

    Upon newest update issue with snapping shapes has come up.

    The outline of the shape seems to snap smaller than desired but then when dragged to make larger it also decides to get taller.

    Would prefer that the shape snap does not shrink the outline wanted

    Also would like to revert to the outline being erased first when going to erase rather than the inside because I can turn off shape fill if I wanted.

    Liebes Goodnotes Team,

    ich bin treue Goodnotes Userin seit dem 1. iPad PRO, also seit 2016 und Goodnotes hat sich immer super weiterentwickelt aber was ist bei dem letzten großen Update passiert?

    Warum muss das Menü so reduziert sein? Es ist total unübersichtlich und mühsam damit zu arbeiten und wer ist für die schreckliche Idee verantwortlich, dass egal welche Funktion man verwendet, sobald mein einmal heraus klickt, es immer zurück auf die Lasso Funktion springt? Ich bin absolut unglücklich mit dieser Version und ärgere mich täglich mehrmals. Ich hoffe die Praktikabilität bessert sich wieder, so ist es keine Freude mehr mit dem System zu arbeiten.

    In my daily use, I often find the need to jot down quick drafts, make side notes, or add annotations. Currently, these actions require frequent page adjustments or erasing, which can disrupt the flow of my main notes.

    I propose adding an option to allow writing beyond the current page boundaries. This feature would enable users to continue writing in adjacent areas without affecting the main content, facilitating smoother note-taking and enhancing flexibility.

    Having the ability to toggle this feature on or off would cater to different user preferences and scenarios. I believe this enhancement would significantly improve the user experience.

    This feature differs from the "Infinite Canvas" concept, which provides an entirely boundless workspace. Instead, it allows users to extend their writing area beyond the current page's edges, maintaining the structured format of the notebook while offering additional space for notes and annotations.
