Select and shrink hand writing
Up until recently I was about to select my hand writing and shrink it down as small as possible. This feature was really helpful to add in small notes around my work. I have just gone to do this and realised that now you can’t shrink it beyond it’s original size, you can only make it bigger. Please can you bring back this feature, it was soooo useful!

Unified Semantic Index Across Notebooks
Many times we find ourselves asking: “Where did I write down that information?” or “Which notebooks contain notes on this topic?”
A semantic index that analyzes the content of all notebooks would allow users to search across their entire library based on meaning and context—not just keywords or titles. This feature would be extremely helpful to locate related ideas, even when they are spread out across different notebooks and sessions.1 vote -
Linking Related Content Across Notebooks
In a typical study routine, we watch lectures, take notes, attend classes, and often find that pieces of information from one source complement another. A diagram feature allowing us to create links between related topics would help us locate information more effectively—without needing to duplicate or copy notes between notebooks.

Smart Title Indexing with AI
When attending lectures, we often have both slides and personal notes. With AI integration, GoodNotes could automatically index titles to help us access topics more quickly. In the case of slides, this would be relatively simple, but for handwritten notes, it could detect titles based on pen stroke thickness, since we naturally tend to write headings with thicker lines.

Study materials created in Goodnotes 6 - promotion and cooperation
Hello,
I have an idea on how to promote Goodnotes 6 more through social media. This would allow us to engage a wider audience of students and their parents. I am a chemical technology engineer and have been tutoring math online for 15 years. I have been using the Goodnotes app for tutoring for several years and have been very satisfied. I have recently started recording short tutorial videos in maths, chemistry and science which I create exclusively in the Goodnotes app6. The videos would be suitable to promote Goodnotes on TikTok or Instagram or Facebook. I think that in…2 votes -
Pencil options
Please add scribble to erase and lasso to move as options to the pencil. For some reason the pencil seems to write more clearly than the fountain pen even with stroke stabilization, it’s just missing the scribble and lasso. Thanks.

Enhanced Freehand Image Cropping for Digital Planning & Scrapbooking
I have a suggestion regarding the image crop tool that would significantly enhance its usability for creative tasks. Currently, the freehand crop is limited to very shakey hand drawn selections. It would be incredibly beneficial to have the ability to crop images using basic scalable shapes like circles, squares, triangles, hearts, and stars within the freehand mode.
Additionally, the option to draw straight lines in freehand mode that then function as crop boundaries would be a game-changer for precisely cutting out imagery. While I understand a "magic lasso" auto-crop might be complex, even the addition of the basic scalable shapes…1 vote -
Scan text in pictures in order to search more quickly
I want that when I insert images containing text, GoodNotes should be able to scan the text so that I can copy it and search the content more easily.

Turn off spell check
The constant spell check nagging is going to drive me to remarkable. Spell check settings should be set at the user level not the notebook level. It especially should not be at the notebook level for each device.

Wacom For Goodnotes 6
Hi Goodnotes Team,
I’d like to request support for Wacom tablet integration in Goodnotes 6 on macOS — specifically for the Wacom Intuos Medium Bluetooth tablet. It would be incredibly helpful to have pen pressure sensitivity, palm rejection, and support for the ExpressKeys on macOS, similar to the seamless experience you’ve built for Apple Pencil on iPad.
This would make the app significantly more usable for students, educators, and professionals who use drawing tablets for handwritten notes and diagrams on Mac.
Thank you for considering this — I truly believe it would make Goodnotes even more powerful across platforms.

Hand tool
I am using goodnotes on mac with graphics tablet. It seems to me that adding hand tool would be really nice. It would let you scroll over your notes without touching mouse.
P. S. Now I cant even use scrollbar, because it just doesn't appear after hovering your mouse1 vote -
Highlighter behind text
When highlighting text written by any of the pens, the highlight should automatically go behind the text, especially on dark paper, this way it looks better and the text is more readable

Allow users to change the template of all pages in a notebook at once
Many times I am comfortable in writing on squared paper template but when I have to print some particular notes on plain pages then I have to change template from squared paper to blank paper paper for each page which takes total of 4 steps. To do this for hundreds of pages is very difficult

Sorting by date of creation
I would love to be able to sort my notes by the date of their creation. This would help organizing my Notes with the same chronology like in a school class for example. Before exams, I could learn topics in the exact same order, as they were presented in class.
