2. Continue recording in background

   Currently, if you’re recording in one window and want to open another document, you can’t without stopping the recording or without having the windows open before you start recording.

   Options for this:
   1. Add a quick note switcher or something like that so that you can easily open another document as a new tab.
   2. Allow the ability to open a new window of the app. Currently if you try to open a new window, it’ll automatically switch to the note that is actively recording.

   Use case: recording a lecture in your lecture notes and opening a textbook or another note in the background.

3. Squeeze to erase

   With the new apple pencil pro, integrate the option to squeeze to erase and then when you stop, it goes back to your previous tool. I believe this is a new feature in notability.

4. Support LAMY safari note+ stylus features?

   Could Goodnotes use the free LAMY iPadOS SDK framework to support all LAMY safari note+ features?

   Lamy is a well-known pen company that recently released an iOS-compatible digital writing stylus, the safari note+, named in part after its iconic fountain pen of the same shape. This stylus features two assignable buttons in addition to pressure sensitivity, palm rejection etc. on apps that support it. Goodnotes does not support those features currently.

   Under a list of recommended apps (Goodnotes included) LAMY calls out that other app's developers could support the safari note+'s features using the free-of-charge LAMY iPadOS SDK framework. Given the LAMY safari's popularity in the fountain pen world, and the likely overlap with Goodnotes users, it would be worthwhile to support the note+. The two assignable buttons alone is also a very compelling feature that offers a wide range of possibilities to advance our note taking.

5. Enable Hover Capability in Zoom Box

   The hover feature is a distinguishing feature of Apple Pencil 2 & Pro. It’s great that Goodnotes utilizes hover within the main writing space — BUT, when using the zoom box option, hover disappears. Hover is a necessity for me, making the zoom box a non-option as of right now.

6. Improved Highlight Visibility in Search Feature

   When using the search (find) feature, the highlighted text appears in a soft yellow color, making it hard to spot, especially if I’ve already highlighted other text.

   Please allow users to choose the highlight color in the search feature. The current dull yellow is difficult to see, and I’d prefer bold colors for better and faster visibility.”

7. keyboard and dotted lines

   hi, i'm from brasil, and i have an android, I think would be nice if you guys put the option for wrinting with the keyboard, not the text box, because i can't make the words parallel with the dotted lines, and i would also like a larger dotted line option. thanks, keep the good work! kkkkkkkk

8. set square (Geodreieck) instead of linear

   English version:
   I'm excited about the new scalable ruler. Angles to the horizontal can also be easily measured and drawn.

   BUT: Many colleagues, especially in mathematics, at my school and certainly at many other schools lack a scalable set square as a replacement or supplement. This could also be used to measure angles between two straight lines and not just to the horizontal.
   There are some ideas on how to incorporate a set square. However, these set squares do not adjust in size (scaling) when you enlarge or reduce the page. In addition, you cannot draw a line along the “ruler” like the ruler that is integrated into GoodNotes.

   In addition, a paper template (checked paper) with 5mm squares would be a perfect addition. Then not every student has to add the template themselves.

   In my opinion, a super-super product with no competition. Thank you for that.

   Ich bin begeistert von dem neuen skalierbaren Lineal. Auch Winkel zur Horizontalen lassen sich problemlos messen und zeichnen.

   ABER: Vielen Kollegen, insbesondere in der Mathematik, fehlt an meiner Schule und sicherlich auch an vielen anderen Schulen ein skalierbares Geodreieck als Ersatz oder Ergänzung. Damit könnten auch Winkel zwischen zwei Geraden und nicht nur zur Horizontalen gemessen werden.
   Es gibt zwar einige Ideen, wie sich ein Geodreieck einbinden lässt. Diese Geodreiecke passen sich aber in der Größe (Skalierung) nicht an, wenn man die Seite vergrößert oder verkleinert. Zudem lässt sich keine Linie entlang des "Lineals" ziehe, wie bei dem Lineal, was in GoodNotes eingebunden ist.

   Zusätzlich wäre eine Papiervorlage (kariertes Papier) mit 5mm Karos eine perfekte Ergänzung. Dann muss nicht jeder Schüler die Vorlage selbst hinzufügen.

   Meiner Meinung nach ein Super-Super-Produkt ohne Konkurrenz. Vielen Dank dafür.

    I filed the documents very well classified (1;1.1;1.2 etc.) by downloading to keep a copy in my laptop, the file changes name with a name style: asdfl93kfh124fsdaf.

    Please update (very simple to implement).

11. LOWER price for goodnotes 6 for non-included-languages.

    The new Woodnotes 6 is packed with great functionality. For some people.

    as a user who primarily (99%) writes in my native Swedish language, the experience has actually gotten worse (GN6 interpret my Swedish as wrongfully written English and tries to change it).

    Why do I have to pay extra for a worse product?

    Please offer a version without the language-dependent features for a reduced cost. I have supported GN for a VERY long time, but this makes me feel scammed. Other features that are non-language dependent are making GN6 worth an upgrade, but it's not fair that I have to pay the same.

    Goodnotes is of course not the only services that does this, treat a few select languages better, and make everyone pay. I pay 100s of euros/usd for functionality that I can't use every month. that's not fair.

    When I write my notes, I want to select for example a written action item and paste it with a link to the original note in my to-do list. When I then work from my to-do list, I want to simply click on the action item to take me back to the note and page where it originated.

15. Backwards letter/number detection

    It would be great if the spell check feature could be expanded to identify when letters or numbers are written backwards. This would be very helpful for kids and students, especially those with dyslexia.

20. [Tape] Remove Tape on PDF Export

    I love the tape feature, but it’s annoying that the PDF backups of my goodnotes files on google drive have tape on them. It’s useful if it’s in the app, but it’s not for backups. Goodnotes, please fix this! Give us an option to remove tape on backups and exports.
