Double a drawing with the lasso tool
If I select an area with the lasso, e.g. a math drawing such as a triangle , I want to double it sometimes because I often need it multiple times but right now I have to draw it again because there's no feature to double it. So it would be nice to get the 'double' feature on the lasso tool. This is really needed for all students!

Remotely sit exams via goodnotes
Current state of the art in remote proctoring of exams is for students to be monitored via a webcam by a real person. As the exam is uploaded there is still room to cheat or to have someone else impersonate you. Handwritten exams have to be scanned at the end for upload. This service is not really available right now due to the lockdown and Universities are scrambling to find solutions that any way secure.
If you write out your exam via goodnotes and you can record the forward facing cam and attach the two as a file this might…3 votes -

Remember reading progress of single page PDF
Safari PDF export and iPad OS full page screenshot generate a long single page PDF file. If I read it and then close, next time it opens zoomed out so that the whole single page is visible, so I lose the reading progress.
With multi page PDFs this seems to be working, so this may even be a feature caused by that zoomed out view: it would be better to open the pdf so that you match the viewport to the display width.

Open multiple files
Recently I was grading PDF exams in Goodnotes. I grade a lot better if I grade everyone's Problem 1, then go back and grade everyone's Problem 2, and so on.
Once I have all 50+ of my students' exams open, the tabbed file system makes it very easy to switch between files. (THANK YOU for allowing me to have 50+ tabs open at once!) But on the first pass I have to open the files one by one. Is there a way to open all files in a folder (in separate tabs)?

Tap Icon To Close Menu
For example, tapping the pen icon will open the pen menu. Tapping that icon again does not close the menu, but it should.

Favourites red star
Can you make multiple star colours or only red. I would like to rank my favourites from green for most favourite to red, blue or any colour for the star colour.

The latest edition of Goodnote has cancelled the brushstrokes. It is really disturbing. Please return the tip of a writing brush or we have no choice but to use other app which can provide the brushstokes function. Please!!!

Presenter tools
For the presentation mode, add invisibility for the following tools: the lasso dotted lines, the eraser area, notes and ink. For example, objects may be selected and moved without the audience seeing the dotted lines of the lasso tool. Or a fill in the blank page can be shown without the audience seeing the answers.

Add "delete page" to the "More" menu
Simplify the "delete page" feature by adding it to the More menu. This would make the deletion process much quicker, logical (and easier to remember).

Having a way to select the entire screen quickly could be useful if you need to copy everything, change the colo(u)r and delete.

Three fingers for clipboard
There are shortcuts built in to iOS and iPadOS for copying and pasting which aren’t supported (three fingers spread out for paste and the fingers pinch for copy) which could help save time for both text and images, especially when using any tool.

Lasso should persist after undo of move.
When you lasso something, and then tap to get the options, sometimes the tap shoves the lasso'd material along a little bit. UNDO puts it back exactly where it was but, at the moment, also drops the lasso. It would be great if the lasso remained (and the options, of course) so you don't have to try it again (and again...) to tap without shoving.

Adding last page of imported doc when pulling down
It is annoying that the last page of an added document keeps copying itself when one is pulling down the last page of a notebook. Please change that - thanks!

EXPORT FINDINGS OF THE SEARCH TOOL OR THE WHOLE STRUCTURE OF A DOCUMENT AS A WORD/EXCEL DOCUMENT
Thanks for this amazing search tool! There is only one problem: When I am searching within a particular PDF document, I find it a little clumsy because the window that opens containing the findings is so small. Furthermore, when I go to one of the pages found, the window disappears. But mostly I need to open a few other pages found which is quite complicated because I have to search again, remember which pages I have already opened etc. I would need the findings as a list or something, probably even in a new tab, which you can directly export…

make highlighter presets available when changing colours
When selecting text or highlight lines and changing the colours, only the pen color presets are available. It would be great if there was a tab to switch to the highlighter color presets.
