Please provide a line spacing adjustment bar in the templates sections... like I can adjust the line spacing in the squared and lined templates.. or add more options with varied line spacing like there is in lined tempelate .. like ruled narrow ruled wide. . Similarly add more tempelate for each but it is better if a custom line spacing bar is given for each tempelate so that I can adjust it myself

It would be wonderful if GoodNotes offered a simpler way to format text inside a text box so that it automatically matches the notebook’s paper lines. Right now, adjusting font size and line spacing requires trial and error, which can be time‑consuming. A feature that helps align text perfectly with the chosen paper template (ruled, squared, etc.) would make writing and studying much smoother.

Such an option would ensure that typed notes look as natural and organized as handwritten ones, saving users time and improving readability.

Please add the ability to change line spacing!!! And to be able to also draw in the word document.

Previously, line spacing was to the hundreths place (eg. 29.38) but is currently rounded to whole numbers (eg. 29). This prevents text from fitting on the lines in the in-app templates, even when adjusting font size, and essentially renders those templates useless.

Moreover, it's frustrating to see a clear break between previously typed notes neatly formatted to fit the templates and newly typed notes with spacing different than that of the lines on the pages (and previous text).

I cannot stress enough how much I appreciated the precision line spacing, it truly affects the entire app experience. Please please please bring it back :( and thank you for your time and consideration

I would appreciate it if, similar to colours and font weights, it were possible to create "favourites" for fonts and line spacing, although the issue with line spacing not automatically being saved as I had specified should be resolved first.

This drives me crazy that I have to adjust my line spacing after every handwriting to text box conversion. Even when I attempt to select my current font settings as default I have to adjust the line spacing for the text book every time. I just want my text boxes to automatically lineup with the lines on the template.

Something I don't like about GoodNotes is that when you are on the Typing option in the Nav Bar (the keyboard symbol), you can't add line spacing when you have numbered list selected. How is this not something already integrated into the app?

Please add "insert space" function like in OneNote, so I can add more text between the pre-existing lines of text, like "insert space" function in Microsoft OneNote.

Why we use good notes or iPad if add space not available.
We can write on register with ball pen.
Now wats difference on writing in register or in iPad Why to waste money if this feature not available.

I too have this issue. It doesn’t make sense to me that the “automatic” line spacing option doesn’t automatically adjust the line spacing to fit the specific text size on whichever template you’re using. You also posted this over 2 years ago which makes it even more ridiculous that 1. The issue still exists in 2023, and 2. That you haven’t even had a response.

The absence of a feature allowing some feature which allows for spacing to line up with even the base templates is a deal breaker. Every other iPad notes app either does this by default or has the option.

I should add also that Goodnotes is otherwise an absolutely fantastic app. I wouldn’t care about this missing feature if the app weren’t so, otherwise, great.

Digital Text is the weakest aspect in GN. Line spacing, text in tables, are truly weak link that other note taking apps do better. Enhance this and it really starts to dominate.

Also maybe the ability to swap between GoodNotes writing to text and apples scribble.

Some explanation of how space between paragraphs currently works would also be helpful: sometimes I get a clear line space between paragraphs and sometimes none at all, and I cannot work out why this is, and thus how to change it. I am a graphic designer, so typographic control matters to me!

Really disappointed this isn’t a feature since it was requested six years ago.

Having the same problem. I have tried setting the spacing to my desired size and then setting it as the default, but it switches back even when I change the text size.

Please bring back the DOUBLE LINE SPACING option from GoodNotes 4. Or an adjustable option that varies with the TYPE size entered. The default lines are TOO thin for proper writing for some of us.
