[Audio Recording] Import Audio Files into Notes
We can add images into our notes but there is currently no option to insert video files & audio files. Please consider adding this feature. Allow us to upload audio & video files to our notes, just as we are able to upload pictures.

This is a useful feature request that would improve note-taking a lot.
Audio files could help save meeting notes, voice memos, or quick ideas in one place.
Video support would be great for tutorials, demonstrations, or visual references.
Keeping media inside notes would reduce the need for multiple apps.
I hope this feature is added in future updates. -

I would love to see Goodnotes support importing audio files/voice memos directly into documents. This feature is becoming essential.
Many students now rely on shared class recordings when they can’t attend a lecture, but Goodnotes doesn’t allow us to add external audio to our notes. This makes it impossible to study and annotate while listening to the voice memo in the same workspace.
Being able to import voice recordings—just like we can import PDFs or images—would make Goodnotes dramatically more complete for students and professionals. It’s a small addition with a huge impact. -

It would be nice to import mp3 audio files directly to notes. Take for example, a voice memo recorded onto the default app, it would be nice if I could import it to a Goodnotes note. The notes being synced would be neat, but that is not as important.

Hi, I am a new Goodnotes user, and selected this app for two reasons: 1) ease of use, 2) audio recording. I think the app is great! As I will be using audio recording a lot, could you please add the features below to audio recording?:
1) Repeat.
Could you add a button that would allow your recording to loop, replaying the recording continuously? This would help greatly when you want to hear the content over and over.2) Improved edit for audio.
As other users have stated, sometimes you forget to turn off the record button, and end up with a very long recording, much of which isn't needed. To be able to delete portions of a recording would be great.
It would also be helpful in editing out dead air.
When I'm recording myself and misspeak, to be able to cut, and add in to the recording the correction would be great. If I'm recording something 10 min. long and make a mistake, my only option is to record the whole thing over.3) The ability to import audio.
If I have listened to something and would like to take notes on it, it would be nice to be able to import it, instead of having to play the whole thing and record it into the app in order to have it available in the app for use. I’d like to be able to have the app as a one stop shop, where I can import and everything is all available to me in one place for use.4) Sync timing option.
I think it’s neat that you can play your recording and have your notes light up at the time they were written. Would it be possible to add a settings option where it would highlight the note 5, 10, or 15 seconds before the note was written? Since notes are written after something is said, this would time my notes up more with what was spoken, as I usually select play recording and then have to hit the -10 second function to get what I wrote the note about.I am really enjoying the app, and though I just got it, it is already becoming a tool I use daily.
Thank you for your consideration to add these additional features.

Yes I really need this feature, especially because of the new audio transcription feature and to port over notes from notability! I want good notes to be my one stop platform but until this feature is added I cannot have that!

Enable to add voice memos just like stickers in Goodnotes…
The voice memo will be placed on somewhere on your notes/ PDF, just like how Stickers/ Memo sheets doesThis is far better than the inbuilt voice recording, which only allows you to record in live.
With this import function amd placement just like memos, ir certainly makes the experience wonderful -

I am enjoying the audio feature! It is a great addition. I would love to be able to import audio files from 2 hour lectures that I have extracted from zoom video classes. I sometimes have 30 slides that I insert iwithin my notes and it would make it much easier if I could have the entire audio already imported into GoodNotes. Thanks so much for adding in audio recordings.

I totally agree with this comment I am a student who needs to transfer from notability to goodnotes 5 but sadly I cant move from it because goodnotes dont have the feature to import audio and video files to goodnotes
and I happen to deal with audio files and pdf files as well if goodnotes can implement this feature for us than that will be game changer for all students -

It would be great for those who are learning for example music theory or languages to have that sound option.

If it is too hard to add an in app audio recording functionality. PLEASE allow us to import into our documents audio files similar to how OneNote allows you. The ideal thing would be in app recording that is synced to your hand written or typed notes but since that is harder. We are willing to compromise on this first, but please give us something. It is really inconvenient to have to use other apps to split your notes. It is not efficient for us.
