[Sorting documents] By Date Created / Date Last Modified / Last Opened / Size + Ascending / Descending
Is it possible to change the order in which dokument is showned when sorting by name. I allways name my document by date first and as it is my new documents ends up last. I would prefer if the lastest dates are at the top

For dates, (newest first, oldest first, etc.) and also for titles (A->Z, Z->A)

This is critical for me because I always want to review what I've written during the day before going to bed, but I can't easily access my recent notes in Goodnotes.

Also, severely needed while working. This has become a showstopper issue for my continued use. I (and most of my co-workers) recall topical notes by rough date when they occurred or actual (Outlook Date of meeting). Trying to navigate through 200+ pages of digital notes (even though I write the date on each page) to find the date (or approximate date) is not a viable approach. As it stands, using and referring to a dozen + physical notebooks is more practical in this case.

I also need this feature, else I will have to find an app with that function.

In Goodnotes you can only list documents by last date you changed the document, name etc., but you cannot list documents by the date you create this document. You cannot see the creation date and you cannot search for it, too. But for school and university this is so important to be organised. Because of this problem I stopped using my Ipad for university.

Es wäre schön, wenn die Sortierung einstellbar wäre:
Datumsortierung: heute -> gestern; gestern -> heute -

Hi,
For me it would be very useful if I could sort a documents pages in thumbnail mode by creation date and date of last modification.
Especially in larger documents it's hard to find the side where I have changed something yesterday...

Currently, documents and notebooks are sorted by the time they were last modified, and folders are sorted by creation date. If possible, we should split these categories. Users should be able to sort by "last modified," which should include the last time contents within a folder were modified and also by date, which is by the date created. This way, it's consistent for all items Good Notes.

I name my documents in the following way:
2020-11-15 Team Discussion
2020-11-17 Meeting with ...
2020-11-18 anythingI would like to see the document with the youngest date string on top. Sorting by date doesn't help in any case, because sometimes I change something in a document - but the sorting shouldn't be affected ...

Please implement, that you can sort your documents in a folder by newest to oldest.

It is a common file naming convention to add the ISO 8601 standard date formatting (YYYYMMDD) to the file's name.
With the alphabetically ordering currently adopted by the app, the latest files will appear at the bottom of the list while the oldest files at the top.
It would be much more practical to have the latest notes show up at the top of the list.
Thank you!

I've been writing to the Goodnotes support a few times already because of this feature. I often work on older documents and then they appear as the newest and that's not useful. The only way is a personal naming structure but that's also not always a good solution if you like to use other names.

Currently when sorting by date, documents are sorted by date they are last modified. I'd prefer an option to sort by date first added to GoodNotes. e.g. I add lecture slides on each day of class and would like them to stay in that order even though I recently wrote stuff on the oldest lecture.

It would be nice to be able to get the possibility to sort the documents by date by default and not only get the documents organized by name when you star the app.

Goodnotes 4 had the main folder sorted by name. Every subfolder could by sorted by name or date, according to my decision. I would like to keep sorted the folders included in the main folder by name, and being able to order every subfolder in a different way

Add ascending/descending nu name of date.
After IPad was lost, I had to restore a Apple backup to a new iPad. Now the original date the notes were taken has been replaced by the date the restore took place. My notes all have a name that starts with YYYYMMDD. So sorting on name shouldn’t be a problem. However.... GoodNotes (4) doesn’t offer the option to switch between ascending/decending list view. I have hundreds of notes and the most recent ones are now at the bottom of the list. That’s a pain in the @ss...

I would like to sort Notebooks by category instead of the modification date.
