Hide Pages inside a document
Sometimes you just want to hide a page - without deleting it.

I would like to suggest adding a āHide Pageā / āMake Page Invisibleā feature in Goodnotes, similar to the Hide Slide function in PowerPoint.
In Goodnotes, the page layout view already shows all pages and slides in a document. However, similar to how hidden slides in a PowerPoint presentation still exist in the slide list but do not appear during a slideshow, it would be very useful if Goodnotes allowed pages to exist in the page layout while being excluded from the main scrolling view.
In other words, even though the page remains in the document and is visible in the page layout panel, it would not appear when scrolling through the document vertically (or horizontally, depending on the userās scroll settings).
This feature would be especially helpful for managing draft pages, reference pages, or temporary content without deleting or moving them to a separate document.

I suggest the ability to hide pages. Sometimes I have notes that I want to keep where they are in the notebook, but I just donāt always want to have to scroll thru them. They would still show up in the thumbnails/bookmarks/outline tabs, just grayed out or semi-transparent. Would also be useful to be able to hide groups of pages (say, hide a heading within the outline), going along w the request for layered outlines.

I often reference other documents or add pages when I am studying and wish I could have a function to hide those pages/notes. It makes the original text/ document flow easier than having to see all of the pages that were inserted. Thank you for your consideration.

Currently, GoodNotes does not offer a way to temporarily hide pages without deleting them. Users who want to remove certain pages from view must delete them permanently. This lack of flexibility makes it harder to structure notes effectively and increases the risk of accidental data loss. Enable users to hide pages temporarily without deleting them, providing an intuitive and visually clear way to manage hidden pages.
How It Would Work
⢠A new āHide Pageā option would be added to the same menu as āDelete Page.ā
⢠Hidden pages would no longer appear in the main document but remain accessible.
⢠Users can unhide pages at any time.
⢠In the document view: A thick separator line would indicate where a page has been hidden.
⢠In the thumbnail/outline view:
⢠Hidden pages would be displayed with a transparent effect.
⢠A small icon (e.g., an eye with a slash) would indicate the page is hidden. -

This would also be good for those who use good notes for journaling! Even the option to add a different passcode or lock a notebook entirely

not sure if this has been brought up but as a student, sometimes our notes have pages irrelevant to our revision but we can't delete it either. similar to Google Slides, maybe Goodnotes can add a function to allow you to hide pages so that it wont appear when you scroll through the document, but can still access in the pages menu maybe?

Nice idea, but every written problem in today's digital world has a digital solution, there's no need to hide pages. It would be highly beneficial for you to put notes on your phone. You may easily review your notes by pulling out your phone instead of needing to pull out books and paper. Visit here for more information: https://www.britishproofreaders.co.uk/manuscript-editors/

Found this when I was trying to google how to do it. Would love it so much. I use Goodnotes for uni and often have messy original versions of notes and then cleaned and organised second copies. Would love to be able to keep those first copies in case I need to reference smthg on them without having to have them sitting there

As I study, sometimes i have to take notes on an assignment and my class notes are filled with pages that are only for those assignment and when i revise my notes to study I don't need those. I think it would be great to be able to choose pages and hide them, so they don't bother me once i have already used them but if i need them i can use them again.

Creates invisible slides so that you can make some slides or pages "invisible". You would not see these when you normally go through the pages, only if you click on them they will show up. This way, students could hide pages that the professor noted as >not relevant to the exam<. The amount of pages would be smaller without the need to delete them.

I canāt believe this still isn't a thing! I was googling to see if this was possible just to find out it was requested in 2019 and still hasnāt been implemented š

Yes! This would be amazing! I love the outline capability but would also like to hide pages that are not useful for a period of time.

I am in college and this would SERIOUSLY be helpful. It's such a great idea! I like to rewrite / reorganize my notes to study so it would be nice if I could hide my sloppy first version when I have rewritten them neater. This way I could go back and reference the notes I took during a lecture if I needed to, but I don't have to see them it my organized notebook.
This feature would also be PERFECT for the flashcard paper. I could still use the flashcards in the correct section of my notebook, but I wouldn't have to swipe through them all to go to a different section of my notes.
This would really clean up the feeling of the notebooks and help people organize notes into important quick references and more detailed notes that don't need to be seen as often (but are still right there and organized for convenience). This would make the notebook feel less linear and open up so many more doors for organization. It would also make it easier to flip through the notebook instead of feeling like you always have to navigate through the thumbnails. When keeping track of a lot of information it is a great benefit to be able to have quick access to the big ideas and not have to get annoyed by seeing all the small details when flipping through. That gets stressful and overwhelming and is the main reason I under utilize the swiping feature.
I am dyslexic and goodnotes5 really helps me keep organized in school. I think if there were more features to customize the functionality of how the notebooks operate (like this), it would really be the perfect app. Thank you!

Be able to hide pages. ie we have the same meeting every week and do not need to see the notes from weeks ago, but would like to easily reference them if necessary. So you could select to hide the page and not see it in the normal flow of events, but then when you go to the thumbnail view you can select "show hidden pages" to see any notes you took. Similar to how Microsoft office can hide data or text in word/excel docs.
