Anchor
Have the ability to anchor an image, text box or handwritten element to one specific part of the page. I often accidentally move something I did not intend to simply because the lasso tool touched it.

split screen feature update
The new split screen feature on an ipad is very annoying and difficult to use since the update. As I am using one side of my screen to see powerpoints and articles, and using the others to write notes on, it constantly changes sizes and makes me toggle back and forth and has been very frustrating to use. Please change it back to the 3 dots at the top and make it easier for all students to easily take notes.

Serious Overheating and Battery Drain Issues
Iโve been dealing with a persistent issue for about 8 months now, and itโs becoming a dealbreaker. My iPad Air 11 gets excessively hot and the battery drains at an alarming rate whenever Iโm using Goodnotes.
This has been happening since the very first day I bought the iPad. I have already tried disabling the handwriting recognition and the dictionary/indexing features, but unfortunately, it didn't help at all.
I am very concerned about the long-term impact on my device. Constant exposure to high temperatures is detrimental to battery health and can lead to permanent hardware degradation. It's disappointing that aโฆ

Ability to skew while cropping images.
It would be awesome if we could skew images taken with the app by adjusting the four corners of the rectangular crop independently similar to how microsoft lens works (please see attached photos for example). As it stands I am using that app and then importing the images I take of whiteboards and documents.

Space around edges of the page
It is very frustrating when I want to see the page as a whole by zooming out, but then the page automatically snaps to the edge of the screen (or on top against the toolbar). I want to just see a small buffer space to help visualize each edge of the page. Itโs not ideal that I have to add a page above to try and see a full page with its edges. I want to see it as a page view, not pageless.

Pause / Play animated gifs
The ability to add animated gifs is great, but they just loop continuously. It would be nice to be able to click them to pause or play them. I'm using good notes to record some whiteboard-style tech how-to videos. I'm doing animations in procreate dreams and would like to drop those into a good notes whiteboard. I then use iOS screen record to record the whiteboard session.

App off while using Windows Good Note
If I adjust the size of the screen immediately right after taking notes, the screen stops instantaneously and is forcibly terminated. These errors occur frequently

Eraser and writing aids
The eraser tool works but can get glitchy because when you erase it disappears but then it reappears! It should just erase in one go. Then, there are the writing aids that pop up in the bottom. When you click hide, more just keep coming and you canโt focus

Highlighter synchronization on iPad and MacBook
It would be nice if the highlighters and pictures you insert on the MacBook would not change its position on my iPad. whenever i highlight something on my iPad or on my MacBook or even insert a picture, the same page on the other device is a little shifted and not on the original position.
I uploaded a picture: I wrote the text on my MacBook and highlighted on my iPad. The highlighter on the my MacBook was then shifted from its original position on my iPad. The highlighter on my iPad is still on the original position.6 votes -
Allow password recovery option for when we forget a password
Allow some means to recover password for when a password is forgotten. Or disable the master lock. Allow user to set different passwords for different files if desired.

Special edition in India
hello goodnotes.I am from India. I am currently using the 1year(essential) plan. but I want to upgrade my subscription to the special edition/ lifetime subscription. but it seems like ,in India- the special edition subscription is not available .there is only the essential/yearly plans and one Pro plan. so it will be very helpful if you add the special edition plan for India region.
I desperately need the special edition plan. and it is not available in India region so is there any other way that I can buy the special edition subscription.

True Black (Pure Black) Dark Mode for Mini-LED / OLED Displays
I use this app on my iPad Pro with a Mini-LED screen. I want a completely black screen, not a dark gray one. This will allow my battery to last longer.

Infinite canvas is not searchable
The infinite canvas currently does not export as a searchable pdf file. When we export the file, it works like a picture which gets pixelated when we zoom

LOCKING ITEMS IS A START, BUT... NEEDS IMPROVEMENT!
Recently, a "lock object" feature was introduced which is AMAZING, thank you. However, as others have noted, sometimes a whole page is an image (say a form that you're filling out, working with other little images or handwriting on top of it). We're all doing it, I'm sure you don't need a picture. It's great that I can lock the base layer, but still EVEN IF I've already sent it to the back, if I select it, it visually brings it front and now I can't see the objects on top. This defeats most of the benefit of having itโฆ

PDF export with outline
I know that using "editable" PDF export, the outline is appended. But this type of export is absolutely huge and provides no use for someone to whom I just want to send my notes. It would be much appreciated to be able to export "flattened" PDF with outline.
