I'm a big user of goodnotes, I've been taking notes with him since 4 years ago, it's a very good software to use, as you know, apple recently released ipad air 6 (13inch), I bought him and upgraded goodnotes 6 on this new ipad.
I realized that from my previous device using goodnotes 5 there was no heating condition.
But after about 20 minutes of writing on top of the new ipad, my ipad has been heating up really bad.
I had to stop and let the ipad cool down a bit before I could continue writing. I hope the…19 votes -
Laser Pointer in Voice recordings
I suggest for the laser pointer to show up in the notes when you do a voice recording. Not saying for it to stay on the page but would be nice to make notes such as circling something while a professor goes over it without the circle being permanent. Hence the laser pointer function.

APPLE PENCİL
You need to provide an Apple Pencil that works like a signature pen. As I increase the tip sharpness in the pen settings, the pen starts behaving in the opposite way — not as it should. I'm attaching an image. Please bring this kind of pen.

Apple Pencil Pro floating tool palette should support tool options popup
The floating on-canvas tool palette that shows up when I squeeze my Apple Pencil Pro should show the tool options popup when I double tap a tool on it, just like the main toolbar.

Opacity slider
We need the ability to adjust the opacity for the highlighter tool and maybe other tools like pen and stickers but right now the highlighter is most important

Measured Crosshairs (or Grid)
Tap a crosshairs icon on the toolbar to add a crosshairs placement tool (similar to the ruler) that automatically disappears after the very next object has been placed on the page at the crosshairs.
The crosshair’s lines are measure marked and extend automatically AND continually to all four page edges (similar to the ruler). But, the node at the center of the crosshairs specifies the exact placement for the very next object placed on the page. The lines on the crosshairs locate that node relative to the edges of the page.

Writing with a pen and creating hyperlinks to specific parts of the page, such as linking shorthand notes or brief headings to their expanded details elsewhere.

Long tap > “open link” can be a bit cumbersome whe navigating through a document. It would be smoother if you could double or triple tap to click a link. Additionally, if you need to jump between two pages quickly, it would be a lot smoother if you could then jump back to the previous page. For example, going from a to-do list with individual items, following a link to a sub task page for each item, then following a link to a notes page, then ax t the original to-do list.

Turn off "summarize" AI feature request
Every Goodnotes file I bring up on my iPad has the (annoying) "Summarize" option pop up.... I do not use it, it would be great to have a "turn this off" feature. Thank you for making a great product!

"Add Margin" Button for writing notes on lecture slides
Allows you to add margins to select pages within your current notebook/file. This will help students who import lecture slides from a professors course page, and then they can "Add Margins" to the slides to provide additional space to take notes instead of having to write cluttered notes directly on the lecture slides. Could have multiple different margin options: increase entire border, or only add extra space above/below, or left/right of the original content.

Make the Ai feature smarter
HI! Nursing Student here. (also I swear by GOODNOTES till the day I DIE!) While I am very aware of the AI feature "Ask Goodnotes", I wish that when I ask it to re-word something or say it in a different way, it would do that instead of literally changing the words around to form a new sentence. Like the other competitors of Ai software, NOT NOTE TAKING APPS (I love GN) have it be able to answer questions with a response not just based on the imported slides but also using sources from the web similar to the big…

Graph Overlay
It would be helpful to have a graph overlay where you can add a transparent graph to help you write in a straight line. It can also be used to adjust your notes the way that you want to help with keeping items straight or aligned.

System/Imported Fonts for regular typing
The full page typing version doesn’t have many fonts, just the headings. I would like it if you could make it possible to use system and imported fonts to be usable in iOS version. Not sure if android does this already. The in page typing version lets you use different ported fonts but not the basic full page typing. First photo is the normal in lined typing mode. And the second is the writing mode that supports other fonts.

better way to organize elements
Can the edit feature for the elements have the same mechanics as when we move notepads/files?
Currently we get a teeny-tiny screen, and have to drag stickers individually, and click "done". This makes it really frustrating and time consuming to organize stickers, which sometimes get all jumbled on download.
It would be better to a) be able to select multiple elements and b) drag them to other collections if we want, c) on a larger or full-sized window, and d) to not have all the work undone when we click out of that window. Basically the same mechanics as the…
