Notes on pdf
When we watch pdf, especially textbook or something we need to write many notes on GoodNotes, it doesn’t have enough spaces to make notes on that. So Hopefully we could use something like real ‘sticky notes’ which allow us to ‘stick’ our notes on pdf. When we click it, it maximum and shows like a real sticky notes, click again to minimize it to save space.

PLUS SIGN
PLEASE REMOVE THE NEW (+) BUTTON FROM THE DASHBOARD. PLEASE REPLACE IT WITH A SIMPLE PLUS SIGN LOCATED TOP RIGHT. THERE IS NO REASON THE + SIGN SHOULD OCCUPY SO MUCH SPACE IN THE DASHBOARD.

More brush/pen styles + let users use procreate brushes on app
I have several realistic brushes for procreate such as muji pen and 6B pencil and i believe it would give potential customers more incentive to use GoodNotes if they were able to write with a realistic handwriting or change the style of their pen. This increased customisation would result in a better ability to feel like you truly are studying. Please do add it in as I have taken to writing on procreate and importing it into GoodNotes and it is a rather inconvenient process/ situation that GoodNotes is well capable of improving to their benefit. Rectangle selection tool
Add the option to make the selection tool rectangular to make it easier and faster to select things that do not overlap with any other elements. Would also make it easier to crop out things e.g. from a Powerpoint presentation.

More Than Three Standard Colors
Add the possibility to have more than three standard colors as to allow a faster change in between more than three colors. As I have one "text"- color, I would love to be able to draw more quickly while using more than the other two standard colors that I get to set. Opening the color drop-down menu and choosing one color thus replacing a current standard color is not as fast. There is still space in the top bar for more colors, so that should not be a problem. Invisible dotted line lasso/selection tool
Make dotted lines of the lasso/selection tool invisible to a remote monitor or recording. This would give presenters the ability to live animate notes with motion, for example, in a physics lecture, to drag an object across the screen, illustrating constant velocity or acceleration, without the students seeing the dotted selection lasso.

Different Color palette based on white or black template
E.g Automatically switch black to white pen color when opening a black (template) document

Split-page feature
A split page feature would allow for one section of the page to remain on a desired piece of text, whilst the other could scroll down and view the questions.
I am aware of opening the document in another window; but what if I wanted to view 1) the text, 2) the questions, and 3) answers and guidance, all at once?
This page split feature would be indispensable!

Merge the top and bottom toolbar into one so that there is more useable space.
There are two toolbars unnecessarily. Top toolbar for browsing slides, searching for specific words, undo button and the add page button. Bottom toolbar for writing tools. Top one only uses up the left and right side (with the title taking up a huge amount of space in the middle) and the bottom toolbar only uses the middle so they would merge perfectly if you just moved the title elsewhere, thus giving us the users more space to write/draw on.

Adding the OCR-Layer afterwards
I had scanned a text with an scanner that dosen't has the function to adding an OCR-Layer to the PDF-file. (You have to know that the OCR-Layer is the function for GoodNotes/the iPad to read the words in that file). That's why I am not able to search the words from this scan at the searching-tool. I thought that it would be nice having the function to add this layer after you already scanned the document from an extern device. I use an extern scanner because the quality is much better than that from the iPad-camera.

Single page view for Mac
I love being able to create notes on my iPad, but review them on my iMac desktop. Just like in Preview.app for the Mac, I would like to be able to select a single page view, two page view, continuous scroll view, etc. I'd like the window to just show one page at a time as I resize the window. Thanks!

Edit tool bar/ lasso tool
With more than 3 colors in the tool bar, but it would be perfect if we could edit the tool bar and eliminate the tools we don’t use
About lasso tool, you can improve it with a multiple choose of the objects you want to edit, 4example the texts you want to edit with the same color

Select a new colour and automatically use that
When I select a new colour from the drop-down / multiple list and click out of the colour selector, that new colour is not automatically chosen to be the new pen colour.

Old features
So, I personally think the app is getting better but, recently the feature that allowed us to draw straight lines, circles, arrows, graphs, etc have changed a little bit. It is less fluent and I can’t do 2 lines that will stick together automatically for example. Which I was able to do in the past. So it is impossible for me now to draw straight arrows or graphs which is quite frustrating because I used to use these features a lot. Now the lines are straight BUT no longer automatically horizontal or vertical you know ? You can maybe add…
