Black page template
Just as you provide a native white or yellow page, it would be great if you could provide a native black page. I use a custom template (black page + white ink), but it does not feel native (e.g., rendering delays when scrolling). Thanks!

Get Rid of the Carriage Returns on Converted Text
I like to convert hand written notes to text for transfer to Word etc. having to deal with the carriage returns your converter puts in is a pain. It would be much better if the conversion just used word-wrap and let us deal the the txt box shape.

Zoom window guide-lines option
I use zoom window all the time for taking notes on powerpoint slides but the biggest flaw that always comes up is my written not being straight or the same height due to their not being any guidelines on the powerpoint slides. It would be nice to have guide lines on the zoom window that only appear on the zoom window to help writing in a straight line

Reduce file space taken up by notes
Notability somehow takes up considerably less amounts of space on the iPad compared to goodnotes. How can we optimise the data to maximise space saving?

New iPadOS Tool Palette availability in Goodnotes
Instead of having the Goodnotes default tool palette, it'd be good if the new iPadOS Tool Palette was introduced (when it comes out of course) on devices that support the system.

Custom pens
I like pens of a specific thickness because of my handwriting, but I find it a hassle to have to select my preferred pen size all the time (I feel the smallest default size is too big, so I like 1.0). I would like to be able to set some customized pens as “favorites” to be able to easily switch between them, similar to how we have some default pens. To add to this, I think adding textures to the pens to give it a traditional look would be great, along with a stabilizer setting to make our handwriting smoother.…

Page indexing / global search don’t work properly
Here I am attaching a screen shot
I have many text books in the app and in GoodNotes 5 I have turned the page indexing on
But since several days it can just show “ indexing 142 documents for search “ I have reinstalled several time
Also I have reimported all files
Basically I have tried any thing that app allows to do to stop the dialogue
Please improve global search
Though great it still needs improvement

Reading View while annotating PDFs
PDF annotation in GoodNotes 5 uses about 1/5 of the screen real estate that could have been for viewing and reading. This is an particularly for users with 9.7” screen or smaller. I hope PDF annotation will be allowed in reading mode where only a tiny toolbox for pens and eraser is shown.

More options in toolbar for zoom window
I think it would be great if the zoom window toolbar could be customizable.
For example, I frequently use the shapes tool so it would be convenient if I could move that tool down to the zoom window toolbar. Or for other users, they may want to move the highlighter tool down, etc etc. If the zoom window toolbar could be customizable, it could be made more efficient for each user’s needs.
Also, I would like to be able to add more than 3 color presets to toolbar. This could be useful for people like me that need to quickly…

move / freely position current page on background
Hi, since I am left handed, I‘d like to move the current page a bit to the right so i am able to rest my hand on the page. Currently the page snaps to the left hand Side. The only work around is to use the app in landscape mode.

Ascending/descending sorting for documents
Add ascending/descending nu name of date.
After IPad was lost, I had to restore a Apple backup to a new iPad. Now the original date the notes were taken has been replaced by the date the restore took place.My notes all have a name that starts with YYYYMMDD. So sorting on name shouldn’t be a problem. However.... GoodNotes (4) doesn’t offer the option to switch between ascending/decending list view. I have hundreds of notes and the most recent ones are now at the bottom of the list. That’s a pain in the @ss...

Allow videos to be embedded through drag and drop, like pictures.
It is fairly easy, at least once I learned how, to drag and drop images into good notes. However, as buggy as it is One Note allows you to copy and paste videos. I feel it would be a great addition to GoodNotes if you could drag and drop embedded videos into notebooks.

These seem obvious: 1) Continuous sheets; 2)time stamp; 3) convert to text on the page; 4) save as .docx or .rtf

2) a date time stamp is necessary. I would like a command or template to have a start and a stop time;

New brushes -Streamline option PLEASE
New brushes and allow for the pen to have more options. Specifically streamline. Writing in GoodNotes is disappointing.

Please allow free scaling of drawn objects
Love this app, but for basic functions while using it, I too often wish for free scaling of objects I draw. What happens is- if I draw the object a little off... instead of being able to free scale it... I have to undo and redraw the object just right. Free scale like this would also mean the objects would be "flippable" which I sometimes would also find very helpful... instead of deleting and redrawing.

Black paper templates and create own notebook covers
Love the new white pen color. They’d be great to use on black paper templates for when writing outdoors in bright sun. The notebook cover options are great, but being to add my own artwork to notebook covers would make special.

Comments similar to Excel
Ability to add comments. For example I often use GoodNotes to take notes during meetings. Near the top I write the initials of the people attending the meeting - writing their full names would take up too much space. Sometimes there are multiple people with the same initials or I forget people’s full names if I don’t know them well.
I could add notes to each person’s initials and tap on them later to see the person’s full name.
Another option would be to allow a collapsible writing area.

Study a document : split screen and copy paste pdf as image for formulas
Hi, I already like very much GoodNotes as it is ! But here would be a really nice improvement : i would love to study several PDFs inside goodnotes. For this I would like to have on a half of the screen my pdf article I want to study, and on the other side a sheet of manuscript notes. On those notes, I want sometimes to just copy paste a theorem or a formula of the article (I am a mathematician). So it would be really great to be able to have :
1) split screen option

Import to same folder and open automatically
I have my subjects divided in folders and more so than often I would have one file open and will want to import another one to the same folder and have it open automatically. The current available options are to either add before or after the current page, or to browse the whole library to get into the folder. Sometimes I have a folder inside another folder, this as you can imagine isn’t the best possible way. So can you please an option to import to the same folder as a separate file and open automatically?
