ability to highlight words in Smart Learn
When learning with the new flash card function, I like to copy/paste sentences from other documents onto a flash card and highlight the words I want to learn the translation of. (more context ->better learning)
Implementing a „Big, cursive, underscore ability“ like in other GoodNotes-documents or some other highlighting-option would be greatly appreciated.3 votes -

Change color of existing notes with new marker pen mode
The standard way of using the marker is to draw an ugly form of transparent color above your text. Imagine, you could just recolor the text you have previously written instead with the marker pen in another mode...the standard method of selecting, long pressing and changing color with a menu every time takes soo long. Attached is an image with an example and an icon idea.

Study Set defaults to US English - add option to set your default language
The topic says it all really …
Currently the app preferences captures a setting for your language, with respect to handwriting recognition.
My suggestion is to extend that data point to also apply to the default language used when creating a new “Study Set” of flash cards.
The need to change this every time seems a failing on the part of the design…

Flashcards Overview
The new flashcard feature is great, now we can see the cards in a bigger way. The only thing that would be useful, would be if we had an overview over all the cards like we do in a normal notebook over all the pages, so that we can find specific cards more easily.

i am student i do watch youtube videos and take take leacture notes in the interval during those times i have to take screenshot of the diagram in the video this is i vey helpful so if i can import this pic into my digital notebook in goodnotes

study sets card overview and management
Currently in experimental nmode, there is no way to see all flash cards in a study set, nor to move them to different sets. In case that isn‘t planned: that would be crucial for the feature to be usable properly.

Good Notes 5 Copy and Paste lagging at times
When you copy an item and go to paste it again Goodnotes can lag, sometimes up to a minute.
The issue can occur at anytime but is more prevalent when you are copying something from one page to another in the same document.
Goodnotes also freezes for up to 30 seconds for no apprent reason every now and then.
We have 4 I pad
It appears the delay/lag is occuring while Goodnotes is wrting data to either iCloud, Google Drive or both.
We have 4 x iPad Pro's running Goodnotes 5 and the issue is present on all 4 devices.

log in area on the app
If you have different iCloud accounts you have no way to sync your notes so a log in option on the app would be great rather than just the pay option

Geometric tools like old Goodnotes 4 on iPad
I have been annoyed whenever draw a rectangle to surround words or sentences or draw a line on Goodnotes 5 on iPad.
Goodnotes 4 was way better than Goodnotes 5 about Geometric tools.

magnify continually moves with writing along page
When using the magnifying option to write notes, it is frustrating to keep moving the box while writing. In the app Notability, the magnifying box would move once the writing reach the end of the box that way the writer can continually write without interruption.This would make taking notes more efficient.

bookmark icon overing over page instead
I miss the bookmark icon too, but I also understand that toolbar space gets scarce - there might even be other features upcoming that need it.
So why not overlay the bookmark icon/button on the actual page - in the top left or right corner, like every ebook reader app does?
(Zooming and scrolling ensures it could not cover up something on the page.)4 votes
