1. Automatical recognition of texts and pictures so that we can adjust them easily

   It would be so helpful if the app actually recognized pictures and texts automatically, so that we can shift things easily, change the color or size of a text or edit the text in general ( as I want to summarize some texts in my lectures often into sharp and short statements). Also the recognition of photos and direct cutting, swirling, positioning somewhere else...

   ALSO SHARPER HIGHLIGHTERS which just go STRAIGHT AND AUTOMATICALLY RECOGNIZE THE END OF THE WORD. So many times I need to re-highlight, so that the full word is actually highlighted in an organized manner.

2. The goodnote’s eraser

   The option inside the eraser itself is good, although it could be better if the eraser does not delete many pixel when it touch one pixel of pen.

4. Importing documents from Office (Powerpoints.etc) and from Mac Share button

   As medical students, we get a lot of different files to annotate and study. Goodnotes is an awesome app and without it, I couldn't stay organized.

   However, I have noticed two big flaws, and fixing them would greatly grow user satisfaction.

   1st:
   It would be good to get an option for Goodnotes to Mac's share button like in iPadOS. It would be a quicker way to add content to Good note without dragging and importing separate documents.

   2nd:
   It would be awesome to be able to import .pdf files as well as Powerpoint and .docx files to document with and the option to select a different kind of margins to make additional notes around the slide. (Like in Onenote and Notability).

5. Use pdf links without disabling stylus

   Please add the ability to click pdf links with our fingers without having to disable the stylus everytime.

6. Zoom in feature for Mac

7. Keep Zoom on Portrait Mode

   I like to write my notes in Landscape mode so I have more room side-side to write, but I like to look over my notes in Portrait mode so I can see the whole page.

   I have the Landscape Zoom to 100%, page fully covering the screen side to side. When I rotate to Portrait mode the zoom stays, and I have to zoom out to see the whole page, zoom back in when I turn to Landscape, in and out, etc. etc.

   It would be an awesome feature, and would help a lot!

8. change the order of flashcards when one is marked as unknown

   when i mark a flashcard as unknown it automatically re-shows it to me, which isn't very helpful considering i just saw it. it would be more beneficial if it was like quizlet and showed the unknown cards a few cards afterwards so that there's time to "forget it" and recall it again.

9. change paget template of entire notebook, after writing's already there

   I often print my notes once im done with a unit and because i write on graph paper i have to change the pages back to blank individually which is really tedious. A feature in which you could change the template of the entire notebook would be really useful.

10. Swap "Done" and "Select All" buttons

    In the multi-page view of a document, the buttons on the top left and top right are "Close" and "Select", respectively. When we press "Select", the buttons on the top left and top right become "Select All" and "Done", respectively. Please swap the positions of the latter buttons so that we can press "Done" and "Close" in quick succession when we try to leave this view.

12. Categorization of Marked (Favorite) Pages

    For me it would be Pretty helpful when there would be an Option To categorize the Pages i have marked as favourites.
    In every Semester i have about 4 different courses and for each course an own folder with probably some sub folders and when there is a page I would like to mark for later I can only use the one favourite button but I would love to have an own collection of pages marked as favourites for every folder/ for every course.
    So in the end I could have an collection of all the marked pages for one course.

13. Lernkarten

    Ich habe 4 Applegeräte, iMac, 2 IPads und ein IPhone. Wenn ich Lernkarten auf meinem iMac erstelle, sehe ich sie auch auf den anderen Geräten. Das ist o. K.
    Aber: Wenn ich auf einem der Geräte angefangen habe zu lernen, kann ich nicht auf einem anderen weitermachen.
    Beispiel: Ich trainiere zu Hause auf dem Mac, möchte aber unterwegs auf dem iPhone weitermachen - aber das geht leider nicht.
    Kompatibilität ist mein Vorschlag.

14. Moving to a different folder should remember the last folder

    I use GoodNotes on iPadOS for marking students' work. I normally have the files in a folder "To Mark" and once I mark them I move them to a folder "Marked". I do so by clicking on the name of the document and choosing "Move to a Different Folder" in the menu that opens up. Alas, every time I do this, the file browser starts at the top of the hierarchy. It would very convenient if GoodNotes would default to the previously used folder. It would save me (# students) x 4 clicks!!

15. PDF pages display setting

    Sometimes when I read and take notes on lecture PowerPoint pdf on GoodNotes, I feel like the pages display are too big (I used an iPad Pro) esp when the content on the slides is not very compact. So I wonder if it’s possible to set how the pdf to be displayed, like for horizontal it can be set to 2x2, 3x2. Or for vertical, it can be set to 2x4, 2x6, or even 3x4 etc instead? To be able to view more pages at a glimpse like the outlines and also able to actually read the content would be nice.

16. Paste screenshots directly into notes without having to upload them from the gallery

    I am constantly taking screenshots when I do research and I'm looking to gather them together into a notebook. I want to quickly paste screenshots into the notebook and also be able to add my personal notes next to them or directly on them. I wish I could do this immediately after taking the screenshot without having to go to my gallery to upload the image into GoodNotes. This will allow me to maintain my train of thought better and it will be less tedious. It will make my workflow much more effective. Since right now I have to go to the gallery each time I want to upload an image into GoodNotes, it makes me less likely to do it at the moment I take the screenshot. This creates another problem where I have a hard time finding the specific screenshot that I'm looking for because it becomes buried among many others. It's difficult to tell screenshots apart when the thumbnails are small. That's why it would be really helpful if we could paste a screenshot into a notebook right after taking that screenshot without having to upload it from the gallery. This can be extremely useful for research and productivity! It will help me be a lot more organized too!

    This time-saving feature would be even better if expanded. What if users could paste images directly from the Internet (such as a Google Search or Pinterest) into notes by skipping the process of uploading these images from the gallery? These images would still be saved into the iPad like regular images are, not just as links that could be destroyed and result in the images no longer being visible. Maybe they can be saved into a folder in the gallery made specifically for GoodNotes. The only difference is that users will be able to paste the images from a browser directly into their notes, and skip the tedious process of going into the gallery every time an image needs to be uploaded. It's a feature that will allow me to record my notes almost as quickly as I think of the ideas. I really hope it gets added.

17. Pull to Add Page (Duplicate and Change Page Template)

    Adding a page in GoodNotes currently, you just pull at the end of a notebook as if you are navigating to a new page.

    Imagine if pulling to add a new page had the option to duplicate the current page or changing the page template.

20. Change line weight of selected strokes

    When I select some writing with the lasso tool in Goodnotes, there is an option to change the color of the writing.

    In Notability you can also edit the line weights to make the pen strokes thicker or thinner.

    Could an option to edit line weight be added?
