When I want to change handwriting’s color and use lasso tool to select text (I highlighted over that handwriting as well). It includes handwriting and highlighter together.

Go to the next page with arrow keys - Vertical Scroll Problem
As an educator trying to use GoodNotes' annotate features with a PDF of slides, I found it difficult because if the scroll setting is vertical, there is just no way to advance to the next page of the PDF without some awkward scrolling. The arrow keys do not work unter vertical scrolling, it would only work with horizontal. (Many keyboards don't have page up/down.)
I hope this can be added or fixed, along with a plain old "select" icon so that we are not accidentally drawing all over the document if we just want to read it.
I also have…

Insert lines and other forms (like coordinate System) via drag/drop
First of all: I‘m not a big fan of calculating my handwritten lines into „straight“ lines. I‘m using iPad and ApplePencil and it still doesn‘t work properly (as shown in the picture) - they are just not straight!
That doesn‘t help during my Math lessons.
I‘m not saying that the current solution should be erased - just add the function „drag/drop forms“ (please add coordinate systems for my math lessons!).
Like OneNote did (see picture).
Please don‘t make the same mistake and wait years to add this function. As a math teacher (and vor my pupils): THIS WOULD BE HUGE!

Palette
More custom color palette (similarly to Notability)
It would be better if I could make a palette for a light background, and another one for a darker background

Better Translation of Microsoft Powerpoint to goodnotes
Goodnote 5's ability to add PowerPoint to the app is lacking. The content is out of place to compare to the actual slides, with one reason being font enlargement after translating into the app. There is a failure to recognize certain symbols. Also, some slide content would not appear, due to font enlargement occupying excessive space, leaving no room for a certain context, then the app automatically not shows those contents.

Customizing SEVERAL Fonts and Fonts Size

Box Select
Right now, there is only "free-form" select.
It would be convenient to have a "box-select" option that selected everything in the window. Similar to a cropping tool.

Music Notation
Not sure if this could be done with pre-drawn shapes or with a font, but it'd be really cool to have music note shapes available within the app. The shape drawing function doesn't work too well for music notation, and it's pretty difficult to try to draw them freehand with an apple pencil.

More features for digital planning
I use good notes for digital planning like many others and would love two things new inks such as glitter and metallic and a feature where you can change the brightness of a picture so it can become more of a background for the page

Export Good Notes into PDF Editable / Layered with images in separate layer
I need to save images into MS Windows word / desktop. For this I 'Export' the GoodNotes5 doc into PDF Editable file. However when trying to save images in a MS Windows PDF Editor , no PDF Editor recognises the images as objects (I tried four different PDF editors), and they cannot see layers, or image objects. As a result images cannot be copied and paste directly in a different application like Word.

view notes in web browser
Would be super helpful to be able to view notes in a web browser. there are times when i don't have access to my ipad and need to see something i wrote previously don't need editing capabilities, just ability to view. since notes are stored in the cloud hopefully having this would be straightforward.

Zoom window behaviour matches GoodNotes 4
Zoom window behaviour was changed in GN5. Previously, it included tool bars and better snap functionality. GN4 behaviour was superior, please revert this feature set.
GN5 zoom window is more visually appealing, but now the user must swing their at, all over the place to change tools :(

Interactive templates
Templates with specific characteristics would be great.
Like a kind of mixture of the current functions with an interactive pdf / word / pppt document:
As such you could:
- tic boxes (e.g. for to-do / participant lists)
- interactive table templates that adapt in size to handwritten notes
- computer text adapts to lines of template (that would look awesome)
- certain areas cannot be written on (makes for cleaner notes)8 votes -
Apple Watch
Apple Watch version. Even if it’s just to be able to see flagged pages that you can see quickly on the run or be able to dictate to a quick notes page that you can write up later when at your other devices.

Even hexagons
Please allow the shapes to detect a perfect hexagon. It detects uneven hexagons but not hexagons with equal sides... This is very important for chemistry and biochemistry majors

Add feature to add free space somewhere in the document
When you have a lengthy document, e.g. 10 pages, and you need to add text/graph/diagram on the first page you would have to move everything down from that point onwards.
Please add a menu to add a predefined amount of space at a certain point (2 cm ?)8 votes -
Freeze Mode
Can you please add the opportunity to "freeze" while presentation-mode. Like you did in GN4. This was great, because you could take a look foreward without confusing the audience by scrolling.
