Select and copy as a screenshot just like notability
I echo this like other users did before. Math can be very messy especially with lots of questions. When you have to screenshot a question, you need to do a full 4 actions sequence to get a pasteable screenshot. If we can have a select copy paste screenshot this would be a killer-feature !

Worst
When I try to write with the keyboard, the text doesn’t appear right away — it’s like the touch input isn’t responding properly. This kind of issue feels unacceptable, especially for a note-taking app. Previously, I could simply tap and type immediately, but now I have to tap, type, then click twice on the screen before my previous note ends, and even then, I need to press the keyboard tool or “T” again to start typing a new note. Apple Pencil latency needs to be reduced
Easy to replicate - write absolutely anything and you will see a gap between your pencil tip and the ink appearing on-screen. Mine is about half a second behind on the newest iPad Pro M4 13-inch with a Pencil Pro. This should really be optimized.

Writing text on drawn boxes
In the recent update, everything fell apart. I strongly recommend a HCI team that conducts research on UI properties before making radical changes to the whole experience. Some strong changes can deter existing users!
Also, just like the android phones and the iPhone, please make the experience almost identical in some areas, as it encourages migration according to users needs without hesitation. For me, the only strength for Goodnotes is its backup and sync feature. So make sure the differentiation on that front is robust, while slowly improving other features. How does this help? Smarter Lasso Tool
When using the lasso tool to select a drawing or handwriting area, it would be great to not only change the color but also adjust the line thickness for all selected elements simultaneously. Additionally, adding an option to either preserve the original stroke thickness or scale it proportionally when resizing would offer much more control and flexibility.

When using the text box to answer questions on homework, the pop up box covers up the question I’m trying to answer. So can we please make that movable or hideable?

Custom fonts are harder to get to
With the new update, it takes so many extra steps to change the fonts to custom, downloaded ones. There’s the modern, classic, and technical options so it would be nice to customize that so there’s a top 3 fonts, but it sucks to have my fonts be more inaccessible!!

Rectangle shape WITHOUT text
With the new update - as soon as you insert a rectangle using the shape tool (love that you get a perfect rectangle every time by the way thanks for this!), it automatically assumes you want to add text. I NEVER do. I do want to resize it though. So I have to click off it to resize it. I would prefer to have the default option of rectangle without text and then, as it is now, to click in the middle of the textbox to add text.

Ai quizzes
With the new integration of Ai in Goodnotes, I would love to have the choice of Ai making a practice quiz based on my notes/slides presentation pdf you saves in goodnotes. I have two ideas:
- Ai makes practice questions based on your notebook and like the flashcards uses spaced repetition
- Ai can create a practice quiz, like multiple choice and matching

Add the ability of extending margins in pdf file/ presentation to add notes
Allow extending the margin (left and right of pdf file or presentation, to add notes. This would be very useful for students that follow the professor’s presentation during lectures. Some other apps do it like notes+. Their implementation is pretty good.

Would it be possible to move the recording thing back where it was with the other icons, it is hiding my courses and sometimes I touch it by mistake and stop recording my classes…

Dark Theme for Slide Show / Presentation Mode
I would love to see a dark theme option in Slide Show (Presentation Mode). Currently, presentations are displayed with a light background, which can be harsh on the eyes, especially in low-light environments such as lectures or bedside teaching.
Notability already offers a Dark Presentation Mode, and it’s extremely helpful for reducing eye strain and improving readability during night study sessions or when presenting in dim rooms.
Adding this feature in GoodNotes would:
Make presentations more comfortable on the eyes.
Improve usability for students, educators, and professionals who work at night.
Keep GoodNotes competitive with similar apps.

Whiteboard Connectors for Sticky Notes
Ability to connect sticky notes with connectors to enable true mindmapping experience.
Currently it's available only for shapes, which allows building quick diagrams and flowcharts. But it's not powerfull and flexible enough for true mindmapping, which requires sticky notes and content that they store.

Typing/Text Box Needs Improvement
I enjoy typing most of my notes but then adding drawings/figures underneath them, but I find the text feature to be lacking and very frustrating. Specifically the bullet point list needs to be updated and there should be more options to tab lists (like on google docs). Also sometimes when I go back into a text box it will start typing the letters below the previous word. I just find the text box feature super glitchy and could be improved.

Release iPad storage after syncing
The current version only provides iCloud synchronization function, but after synchronization, the storage space on the device cannot be released like iCloud file management.
It is recommended to add the function of releasing hard disk space after cloud synchronization is completed.

Set default font, line spacing & size for handwriting conversion
I love using the handwriting-to-text feature in Goodnotes!
However, I’d really appreciate the ability to set a default font, line spacing and text size for converted handwriting.
Right now, I have to manually change it every time, which interrupts my workflow.This feature would make the writing and editing process much smoother – especially for people who use Goodnotes regularly for structured notes.

Export/copy transcript feature improvements
I love the audio transcription feature and use it regularly for work. Right now, however, it's not easy to navigate the transcripts because they all compile into the same space and you can't jump to the most recent transcript. So, I'd love to see some changes to how the transcripts are organized:
