Draggable color pallets for pens/highlighters
Allow the color pallet to be dragged away from its location at the top of the page, allowing for users to have quicker access to different pen colors anywhere they want on the page instead of being limited to just the top.

CANT SEE WORDS I WRITE WITH PENCIL TOOL
I really like the new pencil writing tool, it’s definitely my favorite to write with in terms of smoothness and just what I like for journaling - but I can’t actually use it because it’s SOOO LIGHT. Like its opacity is WAY WAY DOWN. Can it be like an actual pencil?? So I can write with it and actually be able to read it??

3 typing things to fix
Please allow text that reaches the end of the page to automatically transfer over to the next instead of manually transferring it. the manual transfer doesn't work well for me in the first place, but instead is just annoying for me.
Please also make it easier for bullet pointed lists to have easier subsections/indentations. For example, in google docs I can easily create new indentations by doing "cmd ]" or "cmd [" for the bullet point, open bullet point, etc. this would be LIFE changing for me as a student. These are the two main gripes I have with this…

Improved Highlight Visibility in Search Feature
When using the search (find) feature, the highlighted text appears in a soft yellow color, making it hard to spot, especially if I’ve already highlighted other text.
Please allow users to choose the highlight color in the search feature. The current dull yellow is difficult to see, and I’d prefer bold colors for better and faster visibility.”

I can never scroll to see hex codes in landscape
I ALWAYS have my iPad in landscape orientation. So when trying to edit colors & hex codes, I have to turn my iPad in portrait to access the hex codes cause the pop up won’t scroll down. Very annoying.

Add back ability to click on page to minimize side-bar to see results
Used to be able to search or open “table of contents / outline” and then when you clicked on your selection in the sidebar or on the page the sidebar would be minimized / in the background. The first pic the sidebar is open and to visualize the entire page you now have to tap on the search/table on contents icon at the top to minimize and see the entire page. The other 2 uploads is a previous search where you clicked on your selection in the sidebar and then you could click on the page to minimize the sidebar…

Allow the user to use the AI feature to ask questions for an entire folder, not just a notebook or one document
I use quicknotes for all of my notes in class, a separate document for each day of class. It would be nice if I could use the AI feature to ask questions about a whole folder because I don’t always remember what day of class I learned a specific subject.

formatting when handwritting
formatting handwriting in GoodNotes is a real chore.
For example, I want to insert a carriage return, there is no gesture to do that, or insert a tab. It really defeats the purpose if I have to go back through and apply formatting.Every good critique has a proposal:

Image stabilizer
A feature that allows us to write over an image without selecting it by accident. Every time I write on images it gets frustrating when it selects it. It would be nice if images can only be selected when we click on the image tool so it doesn’t interfere with my writing.

Please add a setting, so that the squeezing of the apple pencil pro switches to erase and as soon as one stops squeezing the mode gets back to the previous one. Auto-add next page and readjust text when modifying
When text reaches the bottom of the page, it should automatically go on the next page. Also, when adding text to the previous page, text should automatically readjust on the following pages (just like it does on Word).
