import a document and export it after editing is a working way, but a bit difficult/ long. it would be nice to open a document directly from an external folder (eg dropbox or box or iCloud) with a possibility to save it directly to this external folder without having to import and export it manually. maybe a way to integrate this is via an background temporary folder, as goodnotes imports and exports the document automatically

Farbstift Einstellungen
Vielen Dank für die Umsetzung meiner Idee in erster Linie.
Es wäre super, wenn man die Farbstifte nur in einem Einstellungsmodus hinzufügen könnte. Auch wäre super, wenn die Stiftstärke wieder links der Farbstifte mit 3 verschiedenen Dicken verfügbar wäre.
Noch besser wäre, wenn die Gesamte Leiste einstellbar wäre.

Keine globale Änderung in der Anordnung
Möglichkeit das man die Sortierung in „Datum“, „Titel“ und „Art“ nur Lokal in jeder Unterebene vornimmt. In der Ordner Übersicht könnte man also zum Beispiel nach „Titel“ sortieren und im jeweiligen Ordner nach „Datum“.

ability to highlight words in Smart Learn
When learning with the new flash card function, I like to copy/paste sentences from other documents onto a flash card and highlight the words I want to learn the translation of. (more context ->better learning)

Better handling of outline and indented paragraphs for typing.
I type or dictate my notes, so they are typed on my mac.
It would be nice to be able to do an outline format for my notes.this is a pain in goodnotes and since I don't just use it as a planner but a notetaking app it is something that is critical.
I've actually started checking out other apps for class and bsns notes.

Intelligent Lasso Tool selection
If you write a text and just want to move one word / sentence, you have to be very careful that your selection doesn’t touch other parts you don’t want to select.

Save Batch Presets
If your like me, you want things a certain way. In my line of work, I have different pen colors for work, but I also want to use a different batch of colors on my planner. Same thing goes for my text boxes, I use different types of fonts on each document. Different documents that I use daily require their own set of tools and formats. I would like to be able to label my different presets under a folder or tab in the interface. I use this app for both work and pleasure daily.

Audio recording function not working well when I set tool position on the bottom
I prefer setting tool position on the bottom because it reduces moving distance of my hands. (I'm using apple pencil 1 gen.) In this case, UI for recording shows below the icon so that I can't see what's going on, and it shows on top of tool bar.

I'd like to see a donation option in settings or somewhere. I love this app, my life is this app (I wish I were being melodramatic). With that love comes fear, fear that this app will turn into a subscription model as it becomes more robust. I wouldn't mind donating what I can-when I can. I've purchased items from the shop in the iOS version, but I don't see another way offer my support. Finally, if there is a way to hide the tool bar on all versions it would make a big difference for people with small screens.

Extend Zoom in and out
I would like it so that when I zoom in, the space on the outside of the page is large enough that I can zoom into the place I want to write and it would be positioned on the right side of the page. Currently, if I zoom onto the left side of the page, I would have to reach my right hand over to write on the left side.

Bad experience on IPad Pro 2022 (12.9)
I am a student and I really enjoy using Goodnotes to read my textbook and make notes on it. However, recently, I’ve bought the latest IPad Pro (12.9). I thought my experience of using these apps would be even better as I have a larger screen and better chip. However, my writing experience on Goodnotes then becomes horrible, as the Apple Pencil seems uncontrollable and the curve becomes not smooth (The letter c, s and number 3 looks pretty ugly because of it). I thought that was my equipment’s problem, but then I tried notability and procreate and my handwriting…

community templates - similar to Figma
Figma or Miro makes it quick to get started, rather than making your own structure from the scratch.
Part of it can be figured out by Goodnotes team such as todos or calendars, maybe more for the power users such as SCAMPER or customer journey. The rest of it can be left upto the community to be figured out on their own.It is essential for the Templates to be accessible in-app. Search and download. Having favorite templates marked down for quick access in every category, maybe have some AI magic in place to change the color theme real quick.

create a template for auto conversion to flash card
It would be great if there could be a template (like Cornell style) where you can put the term of the flashcard on the left, and the corresponding definition on the right. Then, this could be automatically converted into the flash card template. I love the flashcard template but copying and pasting each individual definition is quite tedious, and I think an automated conversion could be created to help with this. This would be especially useful for people who make hundreds of flashcards per subject to study.
